Posted 11 years agoWell today is my fave Black Metal band. This band is hard well known which they should cause they are amazing. I remember first hearing them a year ago and I just couldn't stop listening. I think these guys are very unique compared to most Black Metal. They remind me of the old school stuff from the 90s which is my fave kind of Black Metal.The symphonic sound and the very interesting vocals are just what makes this song awesome. It was the first song I heard by them and I love it to death. I mean it is number 2 in the countdown for a reason :P anyways enjoy~

Posted 11 years agoToday is a song by probably my fave Progressive Metal band. Between The Buried and Me is an amazing band just the amount of work they put into their songs just is amazing. I love their intros I love their riffs and I love their vocals. They always try to make their songs sound completely different from each other. The first song I heard by them was "Ants Of the Sky" which is an amazing song. It has a lot of different genre elements like jazz, country, and other things. It's interesting, and this song has a bit of an accordion in it and that's awesome x3 I hope you enjoy~

Posted 11 years agoToday is a song by my fave Folk Metal band. Elvenking is an amazing band to me, they are a huge influence as well. I remember the first song I heard by them was "The Scythe" and that song was amazing, the whole album is one of my fave albums. Damna is probably tied with my top fave vocalist, the different vocal tones he uses in his songs is always awesome to me. Anyways this song is from their first album and it is amazing. I love the mix of folk instrumentation in this song along with one of the best solos in my opinion. Also the female vocals in the song I really enjoy, and as always those amazing growls x3 enjoy~

Posted 11 years agoToday is my top 5 so the top of the top. Today is a song by one of my top fave bands. Chthonic has been one of my faves ever since I first heard them. Just an amazing band, the mix of Oriental folk instruments and powerful Black Metal sound just makes it so much better. Freddy is just an amazing singer and Doris is so hot <3 her guitar riffs are awesome and I've seen her pin-ups x3 This song was the first song I heard by them and it remains my all time fave of theirs. I just love the sound and the mix of English and Taiwanese is also awesome x3 enjoy~

Top 100 Fave Songs (#6)
Posted 11 years agoToday is an amazing song by my fave Doom Metal band. Agalloch is an amazing band one of my faves because their lyrics are brilliant and their sound just immerses me in imagery. Ashes Against The Grain and The Mantle are my fave albums though I also love their 21min song. This song is my fave song and always will. It was the song that got me into Agalloch and it will be remembered as that. I think the reason I fell in love with these guys was their lyrics, John is an amazing writer and he is an amazing singer. The intro has such a unique sound and it just sets you up for the vocals. The Vocals are just something I can never get tired of hearing. There is a reason why John is up near the top spot of my fave vocalist. enjoy~

Posted 11 years agoToday is another amazing Folk Metal song by an amazing band. Arkona is one of my absolute top faves. Masha is an amazing singer and one of my all time faves. I first heard of Arkona along with Eluveitie years ago. I really enjoy this song, This album is my fave by them and its got some of my fave songs on it. the mix of Black Metal instrumental and clean vocals and growls is awesome :3 enjoy~

Posted 11 years agoToday is a song by one of my fave Folk Metal bands. Falkenbach is an amazing band, the vocals just draw you in. The lyrics are very well written. I first heard these guys years ago and then lost track of em. But I started listening to them again like 2 years ago and I love them. This is probably their best song in my opinion. I love the vocals and the start with Acoustic then straight into the drums and heavy guitar. I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do~

Posted 11 years agoToday is an amazing song by Iced Earth. These guys are truly one of my top fave bands. I love these guy's style it's heavy and powerful. Probably my fave Thrash Metal band. This song is probably the longest song in the countdown. I do listen to longer songs but they sometimes lose interest to me after a while. This song is an amazing story and I'm sure you know about Dante's Inferno. Anyways enjoy <3

Posted 11 years agoToday is one of the best Folk Metal songs ever. Ensiferum always makes the best battle songs or travelling ones too. I have always loved these guys since I heard them way back in the beginning of high school. This band has always been one of my all time faves. This album is probably my fave one by them although I do love their first album too. This song was one of their longer songs and its an absolute awesome song. I love the intro the chorus is pretty awesome and that guitar solo is amazing. This song gives me me the visualization of a huge epic battle. Anyways enjoy :3

Posted 11 years agoToday i an amazing song by an all time fave bands. Diablo Swing Orchestra is so amazing, I never thought Swing and metal would ever go together. This band is definitely unique and they even have a cool back story that involves each members ancestors. Anyways this song is more of an Opera like song but it is pretty awesome; the intro gets you set up and the little mix of electronic and also the orchestra as well really adds the flavor. The vocals are amazing some of the best I heard and that ending still gives me chills. I hope you enjoy~

Haggard is amazing, a mix of Death metal, Opera, and Classical music makes a great combo.This song by them was the first I heard and boy it did make a huge impact on me. I never thought I'd find a band like this. This song is perfect, the intro makes you think you are listening to a classical piece until you hear the drums kick in and then it gets heavy <3 the clean opreaic vocals open in and then the growls hit. Posted 11 years agoToday is a song by one of my fave unque Avant-garde bands. Maudlin Of The Well is pretty amazing, if its this heavy of a song or one of their softer songs. I just love this band, they were so unusual. Even though they didn't stick around long their albums are an example of great Avant-Garde. This song today is one of their heavy songs along with the other song by them that showed up earler in the countdown. I love this songs intro then it just hits heavy and the mix of what I'm guessing is a flute and a few other instruments. It is an amazing piece and I hope you enjoy it :3

Posted 11 years agoToday is a song by Opeth, one of my all time fave Progressive Metal bands. I really do enjoy this band they have a sound that just gets me hooked, weather its a soft song like this or a heavy song with Death Metal growls. They always have something unique about them.I remember the first song I heard by them was Porcelain Heart which is a great song. This song really is a beautiful piece I love the smooth soothing sound it has and the guitar work with the riffs and the solo are absolutely beautiful. enjoy this amazing song.

Valfar was an amazing musician, his lyrics and vocals were so awesome x3 He will always be one of my faves. Posted 11 years agoToday is a pretty awesome Folk Metal band and they were what introduced me to the genre. I love Eluveitie they have been one of my fave bands for quite some time. Their first album is probably my fave while I do love all their stuff their first was what got me hooked. I love the use of flute, bagpipes, and hurdy-gurdy. What I love about Folk Metal is the variety of instruments used. But anyways enjoy~

Posted 11 years agoToday is one of my favorite songs by one of my all time fave Folk Metal bands. Equilibrium is pretty amazing I first heard them years ago and I've been a huge fan ever since. I love their Skyrim theme cover its pretty awesome x3 but this song was the first one I heard and it was my fave since then. I really love the fast pace instrumental and the vocals are just too awesome for words <3 I hope you enjoy.

Posted 11 years agoToday is a song by one of my fave Black Metal bands. Akercocke was an amazing band and still is. Not a lot of them use clean vocals as much as these guys. Plus their growls are really awesome owo I haven't heard much like it. The also have a great Progressive sound which the developed later on. They had a lot of controversy when they were around cause of their heavy Satanic lyrics which a Christian group in Northern Ireland were protesting them. I remember when I first heard them I was not sure how I felt like it was hard to describe cause it was something I have never heard before but they are one of my fave bands and I hope you enjoy~

Posted 11 years agoToday is the start of my top 20 and it's gonna be a good one. This is where all my personal faves are. This was a tough choice to make this took years to finally get right and I can honestly this top 20 will be a great one. Today's song is by one of my fave Doom Metal bands. APHND is amazing their style is very gothic which I love :P I enjoy the heavy riffs and the awesome vocals. The dark lyrics as well it gives you a very dark atmosphere when you listen to their stuff. I enjoy this band a lot so many good songs to choose from >3< I think my fave song by them is Freezing Moon but this version is probably the best imo. I love Dead's vocals he is so amazing. The raw power of this song is why I love it so much <3 enjoy
