Animazement is a local anime con we usually hit up for a day, so I'll be there maybe tonight (Friday) for a short while, and most of Saturday, particularly for the  trianglefurs meetup and photo. Look for me outside; I won't have a pass so I won't be inside the actual convention space.

Hello all! I'm safely back in America after my study abroad semester in Prague, and fully acclimated back into functioning in Eastern Standard Time. c; I really enjoyed my time there; I experienced a lot, learned a lot, and completed some cool projects! I also turned 21 while overseas (where the drinking age is usually 18), so you could say I got a bit of a head-start. (;

After spending a week or so at home with my family, I am going to be moving back to Raleigh by the end of this week (beginning of May). I won't be fully moved into my own apartment until mid-May, so I may still be a little hard to reach, and a little slow working on artwork. Thankfully, I have friends able to host me in Raleigh while I'm waiting for my sub-leaser to move out. c:

I'm really excited about the opportunities I have this Summer! For the month of May I will be working an unpaid internship at Artspace in downtown Raleigh, acting as an assistant to a visiting artist from Brooklyn while she puts together a large collaborative performance-art project! Starting in June, I will be working as an IT Specialist for Youth Digital's 3D Animation Summer Camp. This job lasts throughout the Summer, has consistent hours and great pay, and will most likely be another great learning and working/teaching experience for me. (:

With both an internship and a job, the time finally came for me to get a car. After an annoying and aggrivating shopping process, we got the whole thing finalized today, and for a super reasonable price, I'm now driving a used 2014 Nissan Sentra SV. Too psyched about this beautiful car to really care that I'll be making payments on it for the next 7 years. (:

My summer will also be packed with tons of fun things! I currently have plans to attend Animazement (outside on Saturday) in NC, Fur More in VA, Anthrocon in PA, and Megaplex in Florida. In addition, I'll be bopping around downtown Raleigh for various outdoor festivals, including First Fridays, Out!Raleigh, Artsplosure, and whatever else I can find! I love love love Raleigh and all the fun events hosted here. <3

As for art and commissions, I have a small list of things I'm aiming to finish in the next month. My queue can be viewed here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5833824/ (There's also a link at the bottom of my journals!) Ruko's badges will be finished and delivered at the TAF / NC Furs Animazement meet. I will also try to have Jinx's sketchbook done and delivered by then, but the pages were thinner than I thought, so they're giving me some trouble with the pens I like to use. Ferox's sketchbook is finished and will also be delivered at Animazement. Y'all can PM me if you have any questions or concerns!

I also have some ideas about themed badges for the various conventions I'll be able to attend this Summer, but I need to draw up some examples first before I offer them. (; Stay tuned lol

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been in the Czech Republic for a study abroad semester, so I left my fursuit at home for the past three months. I also haven't been to a convention since Anthrocon 2014. xD This year I only have Animazement and Anthrocon on my plate, so I plan to fursuit my tail off at these two cons! See ya there!

Fur the 'More was a fun little con! Props to them for surviving their second year. I enjoyed it. c:

-Really enjoyed Pepper Coyote's performance, the first dance competition FTM's ever had, and the Fur Factor talent show in particular.
-We were late to the fursuit parade, but damn were there a lot of suiters out for the photo!
-Wish I could say I was going next year, but I won't be able to (Study abroad semester...). Overall I had a lot of fun though. Already finding cute pictures and am on the lookout for more!

Midwest Fur Fest??? This one is even more a stretch, but it is vaguelyyy possible now since the dates have been moved to December rather than November. We'll see...

Despite planning for Megaplex only a few weeks in advance, the trip was actually incredibly successful and fun!


Thursday:
- hilarious road trip down with , , and David
- check-in problems easily resolved when kind hotel staff moved us into the convention room block, giving us free parking
- fast and easy con registration; really loved the cool glass cup, but I feel like $50 is a just a little too pricey for a con of this size
- bowling meet almost happened, but poor Renegade had passed out asleep on the bed and I didn't want to wake her up hahaha I drove the rest of the roomies to the meet instead, but had to pick them up during a torrential downpour xD
- Renegade and I wandered around the empty convention center late that night, and ended up sitting in the chairs by the elevators on our floor for a while. The same group of drunk people kept passing us, surprised that we were still there, and even invited us to their party xD Too bad someone called security on them... We have thus become known as The Adorable Couple / 5th Floor Chair Lesbians.


Friday:
- commissioned some awesome profanity-filled doodle badges from  isil for me and Renegade that morning x3 Then Renegade got us some sketch badges from  guggles that connect and are super cute and adorable and you're jealous
- suited up for the morning and derped around, got some pictures, played with kids, and even tried N64 Mario Karting in suit! (Renegade always won ._.)
- caught the last half of Rhubarb's concert; he's a great performer!
- tried to play in fursuit charades, but didn't get picked
- saw some of Bucktown Tiger's concert too; we were always late lol
- actually on time for Kage's story hour; it was almost the same as the performance at AC, but Fox Amoore's musical accompaniments made it extra amusing x3
- sipped on Renegadorade that night and went wandering through the con; played with snails; occupied our chair again; missed the raves :<
- #inthezone


Saturday:
- fursuit parade (toooo earlyyyyy) lasted a whopping 12 minutes xD but included 185 fursuiters!
- met up with and her friend to let them keep their stuff in our room c: fursuited around with them a little
- another 50s music concert! lol
- Japanese game show was really funny (what I saw of it anyways...may or may not have been napping in Renegade's lap...)
- got some hella rad 50s themed badges from  grumpydog :D SHE IS THE BESTTTT "Oh shoot, dropped a rhinestone in my macaroni!" lmao
- dance comp!! awesome as usual C: always one of my favorite events at cons
- took an hour+ long adventure to find a god damn Macaroni Grill that doesn't exist in Orlando anymore apparently >:C Passed the fucking airport twice and ended up at the TGI Friday's across the street from the hotel instead
- Fox Amoore's concert! Expected his music, but got more 50s jams instead xD
- Jack Sparrow tried to help us get into our room when the key wouldn't work, god bless him
- sipping more Renegadorade, finally pulled Renegade into the last half hour of the rave to dance with me ;D
- KEWLIE MURDERED A SNAIL
- ridiculous elevator posing happened; got our picture taken and pissed off a soccer mom lol whoops


Sunday:
- waited around to pick up a badge from  quaggy but eventually decided our sometimes roommate could pick it up for me and pass it on later
- saw a rude dude bird in the C.A.R.E. presentation, along with a possum, baby raccoon and a gatorrrr <33
- rolled out to Downtown Disney, saw some awesome lego structures, took a picture with Brickly the dragon, and ate at a rad as hell DINOSAUR CAFE IT WAS SO COOL AND MY PASTA WAS DELICIOUS THE END
- drove back home from 5pm to 3am xD


Overall:
- I really liked the atmosphere of this con. It was small and intimate; I felt like I could actually stop to talk to people and not be rushed to go anywhere. We kept seeing some of the same people, and actually got to hangout with some friends. C:
- Also loved how well the con kept to the theme, especially all the musical performances! If only there was a little bit more going on...then I might have been more ok with the pricey reg fee. x3
- The amount of child fursuiters surprised me - it's pretty cool that Megaplex has become sucha draw for furry families and younger kids :3c Tiny furries are fucking cuties ok.
- I just really liked this con in general! Had lots of fun, thanks to everywhere who talked and hung out! Also my room mates were the bestest <33

Fursuit Maintenance:
I've had my fursuit parts for almost two years, and now they finally needed some small fixes. I lost a toe claw at AC but  okamioni gracious mailed me a set of extra claws. c: I glued that back on this week with E6000 adhesive, as well as reinforcing a loose eyebrow and pawpad. Considering all the use my suit sees, I'm really proud that it still looks new after almost 2 years of fun and cons! Props to all my fursuit makers. <33 I'm gonna try to keep Cassie around for as long as I can.


I'm gonna be at the Triangle Furs Pullen Meet this weekend, too. Not sure about fursuiting because 90 degree heat but uh...at least I'll get to see all y'all again! And then celebrating MJ's birthday all night B) Party party! See y'all soon~

SO ANTHROCON WAS A PRETTY GOOD A+ THING THAT HAPPENED.

The highlights:

Wednesday - Vancon with my roomies. Lots of selfies and beating up MJ.

Thursday - Finally picked up Renegade's new fursuit body. I sat myself in the giant box and then rolled around in it and tore it the fuck apart. MOST FUN I HAD ALL WEEKEND right next to STANDING IN LINESSSS #boxcon
Also missed the fireworks because lightning or something? :c

Friday - Walking back from the con center in suit with  renegadeisamonster and MJ, a bride and groom pulled us over outside the Omni for wedding pictures! Drunkenly, she told us it would make her night if we came upstairs for the first dance...SO WE DID. Elevated up to the 17th floor to roll in, DJ shouting "WELCOME TO THE FURRIESSS" and GET LOW blasting. SO WE DANCED WITH THE DRUNKEN ADULTS FOR A GOOD SONG OR TWO. Left when we were offered drinks. Screamed all the way back to our hotel room. #weddingcon

Saturday - FURSUIT PARADE. I forget what else happened today except that I made a drunk Marbles pet plastic rocks.
Drinky drank a lil with Monty and the underage crew shhhh then me and Renegade explored the 17th floor of the Omni and enjoyed the view from an open ballroom. Some other furries came in and asked to chill, which was chill, but then we attracted a security person who told us to scram. Apparently she didn't see me and Renegade though cuz she was closing the door and about to lock us in until we pushed open the fucking door LOL woops

Sunday - Mustache crew took a photo in honor of Camstone Fox who couldn't make it. Then  marblesbravetail,  kalira, Renegade, MJ and I went down to the river to take pretty pictures. What do you know a family in a boat rolls up, wants pictures with their kid, and then TAKES US ON LIKE A FUCKING HOUR LONG BOAT RIDE. The kid was stoked, we wore the captains hat, Marbles and Renegade drove the boat, and we waved to the onlookers on shore. One of the ladies told us this was the first time another lady there was out after recovering from cancer, so we sure did make her day memorable :3c They also gave us some Canadian beer for our troubles. Guests of honor at #boatcon
Then we screamed all the way back to the Omni :D

Then I drank myself sick but it's ok because Scribbles (He's like Mary Poppins with alcohol!), Renegade, and Monty took good care of me and they are all getting hand-written thank you notes and fruit baskets <333

Just posted a bunch of photos from my recent adventures with the  trianglefurs :D I love being able to make it to all these meetups to chill with fun people!

I'm still finalizing my con schedule for 2013 (the first year I'll actually have a schedule instead of doing one con every other year) so look forward to that soon. :P
