Good news is that the numbers below are the winners and I will be sending out the prizes in just a few minutes! Congratulations everyone! Clip Studio Paint giveaway v2.0
Posted 6 years agoIt's that time of the year (again?) for a free key giveaway! This time I'm going to be ending it on my birthday so that we can all celebrate together and I've got a little bit extra to give away this time.
So like last time I'm going to be giving away 10 keys to Clip Studio Paint Pro to artists in our community but this time I also have 5 keys for Clip Studio Paint EX! Entry is nice and simple and will be covered below but first I want to ask that you only enter if you are going to use this for yourself. If you won last time I would ask that you don't enter again. If you want to have a friend win please just point them towards this journal so they can have a chance! If anyone wants to see proof that I have the keys just note me, more than happy to share a screenshot of my inbox.
Drawing will take place on October 6th at 5pm PST

Posted 6 years agoSorry it's about a half hour after the deadline (I was out eating with a friend) but the raffle is now closed and the winners have been drawn!
6 9 18 3 19 28 20 7 5 15 are all winners!
I'll be sending a note to the winners in the next few hours to give them the good news as well as their key. As it seems this was fairly popular I think I'll be doing it again most likely near the end of the year. If there is any other art programs people would like to see raffled off like this please feel free to let me know and I'll look into it.

Posted 7 years agoSo I'm thinking about doing a win a date raffle at some point in the near future. Would anyone be interested in actually entering that? Would be a 50/50 split for the commission but you would have a lot of freedom for what it could be of and you can pick the character. If you are let me know in the comments and who you might pick if you want.

Posted 10 years agoHappy birthday to me, or at least I wish it was. Roommates cat went crazy last night because it got itself stuck in a bag and ended up breaking one of my plates and one my my figures. They only kept saying that their cat was stupid, no offer to replace anything. Why can't I have a good birthday just once?
Birthday time
Posted 10 years agoWell it's almost my birthday once again. In four days I'll be 27...and I don't think I'll be doing anything for it once again. Over the last year I've moved away from the last of my friends that I had while growing up and now I really have nobody to even just go out to a bar and get a drink with on my birthday. Any suggestions for fun things to do on your own for your birthday?
Personal art vs commissioned art
Posted 10 years agoSo what is everyone's thoughts on this? A person commissions an artist for a piece. The agree on the price and the payment is sent. The artist then goes the extra step and tells the commissioner that their piece will be worked on during a specific day. Instead what happens is that the artist just works on their own personal pieces or some other commissions that they have floating around.
Should the person that paid the commission be angry/frustrated with the artist? How do you think it should be handled?
And just so it is clear I'm not against artists taking some time to do their own personal work. They need to relax just like anyone else and if working on a piece for themselves does that great.

Trying out a new site
Posted 10 years agoFigured that I would give this new site that everyone is talking about a try. Already ran into a bug or two but so far I have to say that I like the features they are offering. Feel free to follow me over there as well, might end up moving sites if it ends up working better than FA.
