I've only shared it with a few people and for everyone else just mentioned that it was a bit of real life happenings, but I should probably at least address the issue to explain the disappearance. And I'm sorry if this whole journal is worded wrongly or sounds weird, I'm the type to mask feelings and discomfort behind humour. My dad was diagnosed with cancer last year. He was feeling sick early 2016, found a tumor mid that year, and went to chemo for which the treatment was finished early this year. As far as cancer stories go this is pretty good, but since the treatment till now his white blood cell count and immunity system has not recovered. My family and I have been taking care that he keeps to a sterile environment, that he doesn't eat anything not overcooked and doesn't go anywhere too polluted for fear that he might catch something his weak immunity can't handle, while all the while waiting if the cancer will make a rebound or not. It's keeping us all busy and still is.

I'm making up some time to return back to my commissioning days though, but to all the notes that I haven't replied to yet, I'm so sorry. I'll try to get back to you when I can. To everyone, thanks for still sticking around.

I'm not sure about new year resolutions, but I hope to be more active ? Woof, if some of you remember last year I disappeared for half a year for medical reasons, but I wouldn't burden anyone with that information. It's not gone per se but I should have a bit more time now for stuff and fluff.

Changing topic ! I've updated my weird single player board game thing to 1.2 !

If you haven’t played that game recently, (here it is to refresh your memory http://games.necktiedog.com/gasbound ) I’ve reworked the whole layout. So before where every next room was randomly assigned to give a faux impression of a rogue-lite, all the rooms are now laid out like a proper map, that means you’ll have to get out a pen and paper and physically draw the map down so you don’t get lost (or unless you have an excellent memory).

What this also means is that if you wanted to go to a particular room before but can’t always because of rng and stuff, you can now do so ! All the rooms will always be in the same place so you can revisit your favourite room over again ~

Right, I've taken on a few of the suggestions and ran through the code once more to see if I can fix some of the problems. So here's the change log for build 1.1

No longer stuck in limbo, I believe, to a good 90% +/- 20% accuracy, that I've found the variable that causes some people's playthroughs to not load the next board when going through a door after playing for some time. Now you should always be able to go to the next room, and the next, and the next, forever.

Door will always be there for you, If you have clicked on the door and triggered the card, but then proceed to do the current event, the door card is still there just that you have to scroll all the way back up to see it again. I've now enabled it so that the door card can always be triggered anytime all the time you're in that room, door will never give you up.

You can now be a chicken, Well, not literally, but I've run through all the code for the fighting events and added a new option to disengage from the battle. When it's your turn to attack, you can now also escape at the cost of 1 luck.

Other than those major points I've also increased the amount of currency you can get, so you should all feel richer \o/

Well, it's actually more like rain and frog croaks but just wanted to say I'll be visiting my parents (or more like already am, ahaha) for the holidays and will be back next year or so. But also want to wish everyone a nice christmas / happy holiday and hope you all have a wonderful time :3

The most notable change is the addition of 2 more to the roster !
They all have different playstyles and I hope they're all kinda fun and balanced. But if there's some parts that do feel unbalanced let me know and I'll see if it can be changed. There is a bit of a difficulty curve though, I think Keera is still more the beginner character while Ruth leans more towards the harder play.

Also it took a many days but I've finally made it, you can now download it to your desktopples as a windows EXE or mac APP ! A feature that erm, nobody requested for, ahahaha x3
Probably nostalgia I guess, back in the early 2000's me and my friends would sneak in small games on our USB thumbsticks to play on the school comps so this harks back to that. But eh, you can play the same thing online.
Ps, the filesize may seem big (about 90 mb ish) but it's basically bundled with a hacked google chrome so you can, you know, play it without a web browser x3

One more thing ! I might start working on another game, was getting some ideas while working on this one. It's kinda whimsical like how kirby is. It's also about food like kirby ~
You play a little canaan dog who wants to be a respectable chef. And by cooking you defeat little mobs to collect cooking ingredients, which you can 'craft' into delectable food for powerups and stuff !

Ohman, ohgosh. Ok so actually the past few days I got into a sort of game making groove and I've managed to iron out a lot of the code along with making the assets. And I think I can show this to you all ?

It's basically a very simplified local 2 player fighting game with 2 buttons each where what matters is positioning and timing.

Well, firstly apologies for the music, that took uncomfortably too long. Even though I learned a lot with music theory and such the end result probably doesn't reflect the time it took. I've scrapped it at least 16 times and it may not sound "right" but at least it doesn't sound "wrong".

Besides that, why yes, it is that game some of you may remember from back in 2013 ! And yes it's just part 1 because if I don't break it into 3 I'll probably never finish it ! It's very short though so don't worry, I've speedrun it in 6 minutes but I estimate it'll be 20 mins on first try. Depending on how good you are at puzzle platformers though the last stage may be very easy or very hard (that probably didn't help much, ahaha)

Sorry again for everyone who is/was waiting on me for stuffs ! But in the meantime hope you enjoy this :3
