I'll be spending the next few days getting my comic up to date so bear with me !

Also I don't normally go back to edit my games but Avocado has been so lovely in making a little music track for this short game, so I've gone back to put it in.
Along with it I've addressed the 2 biggest problem everyone told me about. The sounds are now softened so they should only be as loud as an average youtube video, and now the mouse will stick to your active player closer so it will make jumping the platforms a bit easier.

A few days ago, the Cartoon Brew made a post about one of the cliches of animation, the dead mother cliche to be exact, which brought me over to the original article by the Atlantic. To summarise, they made the observation that a large amount of children’s movies started off, or somewhere in the middle, killed off the mother of the protagonist (or a significant character who is also a mother). I do agree with this. There has been quite a lot of movies over the last few decades or even longer with the same plot point and I’m sure it has not gone unnoticed by many others too. But both of them in the end closed with the acknowledgement that it was an intentional decision with the intent of portraying mothers as less or no importance while glorifying fathers, and it is this statement which I have to strongly disagree with. It is true that writers could handle this better, but I’m here to argue that the mothers are just as important if not more than the fathers. And that is why they chose to kill them off.

Ok, I'm going to have to call this one finished for now, I've been working on it a bit too long ! You may run into a few anomalies but it's working for the most part. I haven't thoroughly tested it but if you run into any glitches that looks significant pop me a comment about it :3

Just a favour to those who've read the comic from first to latest though, which strips have the weakest jokes or puns in them. I know a lot of them are kinda (very) hit or miss so I would just like to know if the strips you find are the weakest are the same as those that I found are not very good. A lot of the time I think something's pretty (maybe) funny but after inking it down it just dissipated.

I also took a bit of time to redo the site again, now there’s a proper usable archive page that I’m happy about.

It's been 3 weeks, so I'm going to try and make 3 !
I have a lot of strip ready... in writing actually x3. I keep them jotted in a notepad somewhere and usually it's just a matter of drawing it, or grouping some of the ideas into a string of some sort. A lot of the time I debate if I should go for a less cleaner and more sketchier look with no colour just so I can make them faster and on time.
On another note, I've also made the commission queue on a google spreadsheet so that I don't have to fiddle with the html and manually uploading everytime. And also possible update it once a week instead of once a month ? x3
Besides that, how's everyone doing ? :3
