A couple of days ago someone posted this on tumblr (well ok, many days ago) and I find it quite a good way to test how sensitive you are to colours. The way they did it looks logical too with 2 colours of the same shade on a linear scale but the hue is different enough to see, and the test is to arrange the palettes in the middle to gradually shift the hue accordingly. How accurate you arrange the pattern is how acute you are to the slight changes in colour hues.

On another note, I've updated my commission table. There was a terrible flaw in the system and I'm now trying something different, basically I reshuffled it so now it alternates between those who paid earlier and those who requested a slot earlier so it should be a bit more fair now, I hope ;3;

Just a quick crude one, because I realised I wasn't transparent with the queue really and I hope this gives a rough idea where everyone is and who's next. For the most part it's chronological but separated to a top half and a bottom half, so those who are able to pay first get a bit more priority. I hope this helps :3

So I read about this cute commissioning site a couple of days ago (http://techcrunch.com/2014/01/14/artcorgi-launch/) but have only just now took a look at it. It's basically a place where people can "shop for an art style" as in you browse through a bunch of artists works and you can choose the style that you like and commission them. It's a nice familiar concept, they hold on to the commission money until everything's done so the commissioners know they'll get the work and the artists know they'll get paid.

What's interesting though is some of the different takes on the process. As a buyer you can feel a bit safer knowing that if the artist isn't unavailable they can get a full refund, or 20% every late week. And as an artist, well, you can feel safe knowing you will get paid. They do however take a 20% off so the artist gets 80% of the price. Oh is everyone leaving ? No don't go away yet ~ The good (or bad) thing is that they are the ones setting the price for you. So there's a very good chance you're not underpricing yourself. I took a quick browse and indeed all the prices are in a way very professionally priced. There's also supposedly a panel of judges to check if the final piece is indeed to the standard of the artist and the buyers are not getting the short end of the stick. It is also supposedly the same panel that knows the industry pricing and are setting the price.

All in all, it is a valiant effort to show that artists don't have to under price themselves and gives the average people a better estimate of how much a digital painting is worth.

On another note, how's everyone feeling about the death of internet neutrality ? I mean it's a dead serious thing for small people like us and consumers but as usual it's not making much of a dent in the mainstream news and surely there must be better ways than just signing a petition.

It's so heartwarming to see so many people chipping in for this. The Philippine Red Cross site changed a bit from the last time I've been there, it seems they've added a bit more options for online payment like ushare and greenpeso (which are more Philippine centric from what I can tell) but the weird thing is that although they said paypal is an option through those services, the method is not available when going through with the payment. So this time I've used my card to go ahead with the donation but I'd like to keep it separate if possible. The next wave of donations I'm thinking of donating to UNICEF Philippines to help with resources this time round :3

Hey everyone :3

So everyone is now be aware of the Typhoon Haiyan that struck the Philippines and although some parts are fairing well, a lot of places are still pretty much in disarray. I don’t have any friends or family in Philippines, but they are very much country neighbours, plus they need all the help they can get.

I’ve donated a few days ago but I’m thinking of raising a few more to help out a bit more, this time around I’m thinking of drawing a little something for everyone who donates as an incentive :3 Now this is only a call out for those who are thinking of donating but haven’t yet. For those who are not in a position to donate, it’s ok, take care of yourself and don’t worry.

Anyone who's been following me for a while now knows I'm making, and still am, a little series about an awkward aardwolf. But last few days I keep getting ideas for another comic and I'm now wondering if anyone would be interested in the new idea or should I just continue with the little aardwolf ?

The premise is little myla, a sort of bohemian shepherd, stays in the same house with her aunt and uncle. Except her aunt is a magic practicing shaman sambar deer, and her uncle is a south russian ovcharka mechanical engineer heavily advocating the advancements of cyberprep. They constantly bicker over little things, have verily contradicting opinions, and generally don't agree with each other. Kinda like old couples.

I have a few ideas for this one. If I do go with it i can let it organically grow like awkward aardwolf, but would anyone be interested in this more than a shy aardwolf ?

It's probably the most minimal webcomic site but it'll do. I just tweaked wordpress' default twentytwelve theme and it should be fairly comfortable being read on a big desktop or a small phone. I'll still post issues over here and on tumblr and twitter, this is just in case anyone likes to read it on a proper website and get rss feeds and also in the future I may pimp it a bit.

On another note, would there be any interest if I offer up commissions ? There's a development software I would like to save up for but it's like in the thousands.

Of course I would be interested in anything group and game related. It's basically all the artist drawing their fighting selves, although I'm familiar with only a bit more than half on the list (I can't say I'm that hardcore >w<). It feels that there are some other good artists that could be included though, but it's fair enough, toulouse made the list of the people she personally knew. What if... _{what if I made a game for those people... .w.}

There are some that serves secondary functions and some where it may not be obvious but when the actual game comes around there'll be a brief explanation of each character before you'll be thrown into a puzzle and try to figure out the solutions yourselves ! It’s been a while since my last group game update and I do apologise for those who are waiting (or not, most likely nobody’s waiting) I’ve literally got 3 more people and that’s everyone done. In the meanwhile I guess you can watch my uni film which is about a year old now. The animation is made primarily in Toonboom, Artrage and Premiere Pro and the music is made with a Yamaha NP-31 and composed in Garageband.

But most importantly there's now more of you guys to throw around and have fun with :3 Each one has different properties when picked up or thrown and this is used to solve different puzzles. I'm hoping to come up with puzzles that has multiple ways of solving them.

So I've just finished coding in the throwing mechanics. It's been almost a year since I last touched my old engine, so I kinda almost rewrote everything... Controls are the arrow keys for moving and jumping, X for pick up and drop, and C for throw. That's all for now.
