In other news, I'm still settling into my new job. My hours vary from week to week along with my days. Would really love it if I had a consistent schedule but that sort of thing is supposedly unheard of at my job. =\ That and having my days off together (versus apart) would be awesome.

Originally I was hired to work seasonal at Macy's, but ended up getting hired part-time by OfficeMax -- which I'm stoked about. I sign paperwork this Wednesday and start later this week. I'm really super excited about it. It's going to take me awhile to get used to working again though. Only downside is Cataclysm for WoW comes out next week which is when I start. OH WELL. I'll survive somehow! /dramatics

Sorry for not being around much lately
General | Posted 15 years agoI just haven't felt like browsing art for awhile now. That goes double for drawing it. I'm totally not over drawing as does happen to some artists, but I haven't felt like drawing it for some time. I really blame wow for this as it absorbs all my time playing it and with friends. I've also been in a bit of a rut as I know I need to find work but I'm not being 100% honest with myself in finding it.
The view from this said rut (or is it hole?) is getting old and I find myself bored to tears with being broke all the time so.. the desire to put forth an honest effort in looking for work is growing. I've got my resume all ready and updated. All I have to do is wait for the hub's payday to go make copies. this weekend I told the hubs to force me to take my resume and pass it out around the mall. I'm hoping this works.
Our anniversary is approaching (Oct 31) and I'd really love to do something for it since it's our 5 year mark! Watching a movie on it like we have in the past isn't going to quite cut it, I'm afraid. :)

Stop that. No really, stop it. Unless the photos you're editing are actually yours (as in you took the photo) it's going to be (eventually) removed.
Don't get me wrong, I love some of the creativity that has come out of the submissions, but you're not supposed to be doin' it unless the photo is yours.

General | Posted 15 years agoSpent last weekend moving into the new apartment. My dad's house is pretty much emptied out of everything. Still going to take some getting used to that my old childhood home will no longer be a home to us anymore. But I've been too busy with unpacking and making the apartment feel like home to mull over that.
The hubs and I are going to try and raid storage to pull out more of our stuff and try to condense what we have down greatly. It'll be just the two of us, so here's hoping we make a dent. :S

General | Posted 15 years ago-> Found a place, filled out the paperwork, and got the keys. We're looking to move out all of our stuff this weekend.
-> The yard sale went great! Made a lot of money buttttt, it all went towards getting the breaks on the truck fixed. That was uber expensive. 8C
-> The house itself is in escrow, so when all the paperwork and money is transferred it will no longer belong to my dad. Very sad but, hopefully it makes it's new owner as happy as it made it's first.
-> Still working on re-homing two of our cats. It looks possibly promising they'll be taken in by a rescue group. I -hope-. :(

General | Posted 16 years agoLooks like I'll be moving again before the end of the year. Without going into a lot of details, my dad is being forced to sell his home of 30+ years, which we are currently living in. I wish things were diffrent and he hadn't make the choice of a reverse mortgage, but what's done is done and now my hubby and I will be thinning out our belongings and preparing to move.

General | Posted 16 years agoI ask myself this quite often. I like leaving compliments, but I love it even more when I know the person I left them for saw it. Trouble is, sometimes I feel that an image has so many comments on it to begin with, the artist may not even bother to read them. So I hesitate and generally hit the "Fav" button and go on to the next image.
:[ It sucks. Does anyone really read their comments anyway? I know a lot of artists have "selective reading" when it comes to them anyway. As in, if a friend or someone they know/respect comments, they'll say something back. Otherwise nothing is said in return.

General | Posted 16 years agoToday I decided that it was time to cancel my account to World of Warcraft. I've decided to do this so I could focus more free time on my other hobbies which always take the backseat when it came to WoW. I'm planning on returning once the next expansion comes out, but who knows? Maybe I won't and I'll be done with WoW "forever". ;)
Who knows; I'm looking forward to spending this time on (hopefully) drawing more and my other hobbies I short change.
This is a big step for me, no matter how simplistic it may seem. No doubt "wow-withdraw" will be a bitch, but I do think I can do it, and it's time.
