My lucky life
Posted 8 years agoI try not to gush, but on nights like this, Reva_The_Scarf just hits the "Zel wants to gush about husband" button. I am soooo so so lucky to have him in my life. He is my partner, my equal, and I am his. Anything we have to face in the future, we will conquer. Obstacles? Hah! You mean pebbles.
Every day is such a happy day in my life. No matter how stupid work gets, no matter what the obstacle for the day might be, I have him standing by my side. He matches me in every aspect and we support each other with all of our being.
He insists that he is the luckier one in this relationship, but I must disagree. He says that his quirks should be a negative, that I should think less of him for it. I don't. I accept everything about him and he, in turn, accepts everything about me.
We complement each other so well. He remembers most details about everything (mostly photographic memory) and I remember where he left his keys.
He doesn't get intimidated by how strong I am as a person or as a woman. He encourages my personal growth and says every day that being with me makes him want to strive to be a better him. To grow with me. To be the man who stands proudly at my side for the next 50+ years.
Someone said that the first year of marriage was the hardest. Someone also said that the honeymoon glow would fade. I don't think this glow is stopping anytime soon. Marriage to this man is a blessing, not a hardship. I am more in love with this man every day.
*lifts glass of apple juice* To another 100+ years, mah love.
