Posted 6 months agois there a way to toggle the banner? it makes it damn near impossible to read whatever notification is shown. and for some reason despite numerous blocking it with adblock and uBlock doesn't work.
is there a way to tag content so you don't see it?
Posted 9 months agoAm I just missing something? Is there no way to have preference tags so you don't have to see some matter of content that doesn't appeal to you (or that you find revolting)?

Posted 11 months agoSince numerous past games are getting modern remakes (both by official licenses and fandoms), what classic game from years past would you like to see remade?

Posted a year agoOK, strap in this is going to have a lot of preface and quite a selective memory:
In the original Sly Cooper and the Thevious Raccoonus, after beating a stage boss, Carmelita would appear and arrest the boss character, and then there would be a newspaper front page displayed with comments about the boss character and the like, but they also put other comments in the upper corners of the page, and one of them said something to the effect of describing Carmelita as a "Hot Ass Latina".
But much to my frustration, I cannot figure out where/when it says this, and was hoping some of you would just happen to remember this too, and tell me how & where to find it. Am I thinking of the wrong game perhaps? I know one of the main headlines describes her as 'hot stuff with a badge', but that's obviously not the same thing; because the screen shot of the newspaper was only onscreen for a few seconds, the other comments made typically went unnoticed over the first several play troughs.
So if any of you happen to have a spark of recollection, kindly let me know, thanks.

Posted 2 years agoI'm looking for good ways to update the video quality of my PS2 Slim so it's not so painful on the eyes while playing. not keen on internal mods, though.
So i guess i'm asking what are some good cables/adapters to get to really improve the video while playing.USB drive stuck in read only mode: how do i fix this?
Posted 2 years agothe main USB flashdrive i use suddenly is stuck in read only mode, and i cannot change it or format it; i can see the files, copy them to another folder, but i can't add, delete, move files or format the drive (it tells me it's in read only/write protected mode).
I've tried DISKPART, changing permission settings, and there is no Security tab when i right click the drive and look at Properties
i'm stumped. anyone know how to deal with this ?

trying to 'fix' something that isn't broken usually leads to problems, and as this is one of my base sites i use, i don't want the headache.

disk cloning help questions
Posted 5 years agoi want to completely clone the HDD to a SSD drive, but I want a complete clone done, so I am looking for software recommendations. the simpler the better.
after the clone is done i just want to remove the old HD, put in the new SSD drive, turn on the PC, and off I go without missing a beat.
so looking for suggestions, thanks. will ultimately be doing this to 2 PC's.

here's the synopsis:
Monsters and shootouts abound in this animated western comedy following an overconfident kid, his apathetic partner, and a spider-girl with some serious boundary issues. What will it take to save CliffSide from some rather unconventional evil in the surrounding cliffs, and will our hero ever actually learn anything?
Episode 1 - "Pilot"
Getting tangled up with an excitable spider-monster named Cordie who suffers from a validation complex to rival his own, Waylon quickly learns his bold gunslinger talk leads to horrifying actions when put into practice by his new super-fan. Now he’s got some explaining to do and a western standoff or two to perform if he hopes to scrape by without learning anything from this whole ordeal.

Something I learned today...
Posted 8 years agoif you have some sort of infrared remote and you want to test to see if it is working:
- take a digital camera and the remote (best to do if you sit both devices on a table)
- point the remote at the camera
- then press any button on the remote and while looking at the camera screen, and you can see the infrared LED flash, indicating the device is working.
can be helpful in seeing if the device is working, the battery isn't dead, a particular button on the remote isn't working, etc.
just a neat little thing I thought I'd pass along.
