If a small party comes, I may be compelled to line them as well for free. But, the more, the merrier. I'm hoping to last an hour, but if we're all having fun, I can extend the time limit.

Temtem is just a better game than Pokémon. I'm sorry. I don't make the rules. So there'll be an influx of Temtem art and I might even devise a Temtem-sona! Haven't totally decided on a specie yet, but Kinu is up there.

I still love Pokémon, but now when I play it, I just wanna go back to Temtem. Maybe a new release will spark me? I almost regret buying the dlc. I should have just gotten Temtem then. Since Temtem is an mmo, it's promising content for a while. The game is already plenty long for what's available now. And it isn't a subscription game.

It's so much fun trying to make OP Temtems, and I just adore the designs and battle system. That's what makes it superior to Pokémon. The story is as good as any Pokémon story but it's more adult themed (like rated Teen if I had to rate it) and more competitive. No rng in the battle to support favorable outcomes. You have to rely on strategy and knowledge of all the temtems to survive. And your stats. In a lot of cases, the little guy can whomp your big bad fully evolved guy if you're not taking it seriously.

Flickie got his hours cut and so we're down for the count $$ wise. I know a lot of ya have other people you prefer getting yer commissions from, but it would mean the whole world to me if I could rope some of you into a few commissions. If I got one or two $20-30 commissions a week, it'd make things a bit more steady for us. Idk when his hours will go back to normal. They didn't give him a time frame.

I'm in the process of reorganizing my price guide but everything that's currently in my guide is still true. If you have something different in mind let me know. I also offer more detailed works for a little more coinage. But prices are negotiable, my guide is primarily to give you an idea as to what you can expect from me, give or take.

I'm sorry I've been so afk lately. Been shunning art and really everything. Partly because of being in a depressive state and partly because I've been distracted. And partly because I'd been playing Temtem. I've just been so all over the place lately it just doesn't really feel like art is a priority. But that's GOT to stop! I have my test stream tomorrow and that might put me in the drawing spirit after.

So unless my migraine passes today, I severely doubt I'll be continuing my tutorial today.

I want to start by saying I will be just fine. As a bipolar patient, I swing in and out of depressive states. And lately I've been feeling rather down. So if I'm a little quiet or hard to talk to, know that all of y'all are fucking amazing people and that I just need time to sort out my dumb brain.

One thing about drawing other people's OCs is realizing they don't wear glasses and feeling like it's missing something because of it.

Also commissions are open. This was a plug in disguise.

I'm on a mission to do up some pastel goth outfits. I just adore goth clothing and pastel goth just speaks to me. I adore raver stuff too and so the lines between the two tend to blur for me, but I'm trying to break that. So expect an influx of that. Maybe. Idk. I get distracted.

Fanart is also looking like it's on the rise. Yugi inspired me. I love the Yu-Gi-Oh style, always have. I may try to incorporate more into my work just to toy with it. Some of the cards look cool and I've always been a Konami fan. I might do some Final Fantasy stuff next. Been a while.

Gift arts are also looking like they're on the rise. So... Watch the fuck out.

So, Flickie took a peek and considered based on things under the hood that my graphics card may be gradually unseating itself. He showed me how easy it is to pop it out of place from the outside of my case. So he used an extra screw. I wish there was a better way to anchor it, but whatever. If that's the case then I'll be OK.

In worse news, I can't salvage my lost art. I have to start over from the sketch.

So. Flickie decided we needed a $300 graphics card for my pc that I just got with my stimulus check. Which mind you, had a dedicated graphics card. I wasn't THRILLED with him using my unemployment money on it, but I told him he could buy whatever he wanted with half of the extra money we got. I got the kitty headphones and some art crap, he got the gpu.

So anyway, he installed it, and hooked up all 3 of my monitors to it. Which is pretty sweet. Ngl. I was fine using 2, but whatever. Well, we had this card for all of 2 weeks, and now my monitors, all 3 turn off sporadically. And if that wasn't bad enough, I was working on some art for Flickie, meticulously saving as I always do when I work, and the monitors went out. Well, the only fix I knew of was a hard shut down.

And... My file was corrupted when I came back in. Fine. Whatever. I'll just use the recovery feature. Well, that only saves every half an hour, and I lost all of the work I'd done. While that isn't a LOT of work, it was HARD WORK.

I considered redoing it on my Surface, but the Surface doesn't have enough memory for me to stabilize my pen tools. So it lines more shakily than I'd like, and I want this to be PERFECT. It's a prezzie for Flickie of Yugi Moto. I'm kinda proud of the sketch if I'm being honest. And the line work was fucking dynamite. For my skills. Not saying that I'm a beast or anything.

He's at work now and can't really tell me what to do about it, but I know it's the gpu because all 3 die at the same time. And it didn't happen until today. Idk where my old one is, I didn't install the gpu, but if Flickie tells me, I'm just gonna do that and try again.

And now I keep thinking there's a bug on me.

All'a'y'all. I don't want nothing, I just was feeling like a bucket of mush today. Work was lame but I'm in a really good mood right now. Working on some gifties, got other shit in mind... Huh.

But I think I'll work on gift art for  draikar first since it's a simple piece, then a vent piece. I've been feeling really weird lately. I'm ok, er, I will be.

Then I gotta work on my ref for my newly devised Badgernuki, Vani! Species belongs to  zoelnoone. I'm still in the process of ironing out her persona. She's based on Catt, but she lacks the doom and gloom that comes with. There won't be any vent art with her or dark themes (unless it's funny).

Anywho, just spitting.

That I want to make some tutorials. I have the equipment for it, so why not? I'm not sure what I'd say exactly so I'd have to dream up a script. I use Blueberry Flashbacks for my video Makin' power. I use ClipStudio Paint for art but a lot of what I do can be done in Gimp and Photoshop. Couldn't tell you about SAI as I've not used it beyond its line tools.

If anyone is interested, my YouTube is CattStrife. I have some Speed Paints up there now, a bit dated, some in Gimp, Photoshop and Clip. Though my Gimp one is not up to snuff. I also have an MSPaint one, xD.

Now, I don't draw with the traditional methods, so I will say if you do adopt my techniques, feel encouraged to look into other methods if you like. My method works for me, but it may not be the ideal. If you watch my speeds, you'll get an idea about what I mean. It's mostly in the preliminary work.

I might make one tomorrow, or start it anyway. Would love feedback on it if I do. Any takers?

I'm alright. I just have socialish plans for Sunday. I'm doing a test stream with a friend to make sure my equipment is working properly. After I'm comfortable with it, I'll open it up more broad spectrum for freebs of chibi or headshot sketches/flats. Level of complexity/completeness depends on how fast I can do it vs how long I can stream.

Then I'm gonna play a game with another friend I've never played before. Apex Legends. Finished downloading it. She was kind enough to get the pc version so she could play with me on it. So she has none of her accomplishments that she has on her xbone. For me, this is a busy day, lol.

Probably get to buidness around 3 for AL or something. After a good cat nap.

I feel like I can do much more now since I have access to my pc again, so I want to make 2 separate price guides, one for pc commissions (more expensive, better quality) and one for tablet commissions (current prices, decent quality).

Why?
Tablet commissions can be done much quicker. They're not as detailed, but they're cute and cartoony. So they're going to retain much of the current pricing.

PC commissions are more time consuming and can come out at a much higher quality. I've already begun taking commissions under this new pricing rule, so it only seems fair to have the information more readily available to inquiring clients.

So... I just did some math. And I need about $260 for rent. That's how short we are for next month. Otherwise we'll just have to pay it late. So I'm hopeful to get at least $60 in commissions, which would cover the late fee.

If ya can't buy, I could use a signal boost!
