Been a LONG time. I check on here now and again but have been inactive for... years now. I wasn't expecting that, honestly. I began to focus on work. Work didn't go well in many avenues. I spent most of my free time and creative endeavors playing video games and playing D&D with my friends.

Even though I've been inactive on here that doesn't mean I've dropped the furry fandom! I've gone to a handful of furcons in the years that've passed. Mainly in Dallas. Got to meet furs in California! And the most recent was a trip to Utah where I got to go to AWU. I've had a lot of fun with all that but I do want get back on here and be more active in the online community again. So, hope to inject some life back into this place. Just need to be able to access my alternate account Deslucin. Really want to be able to focus my stories over there.

"I normally don't speak of this, but I can transfix any mortal, spirits, and some lesser demons with my eyes."

2. What trait does your OC like best about themself? (Eyes, guitar skills, random bird facts, etc)
"I am most persuasive. It is a skill I mastered through my line of work. Also my physical form is impeccably beautiful. I have the best taste in clothing. I have had millennia to develop my style."

3. How many pillows does your OC sleep with?
"My necessity for sleep is next to none. But when I do rest I adore palettes composed of colorful pillows. Which, I think could range from 200 to 500 depending on the size of the pillows. Otherwise, an immaculate, gargantuan bed with 20 to 50 pillows placed in a crescent formation in front of the headboard would do nicely."

4. Is your OC good at keeping secrets?
"Compared to my kin... I am the master of secrets. As you humans say, 'It comes with the territory.' But I am also incomparably better than the other demons. If I were to be summoned I can never be compelled to speak only Truth."

5. Your OC's worst habit?
"I have no negative habits! Well, I was told by a mortal that I take human sayings too literally sometimes."

"A positive habit is how adroit I am at grooming myself and keeping my clothes immaculate."

"In this 'modern' time I loathe shoes. My feet do not fit the human mold. The best I can wear are cloth footwear which are today referred to as 'genie' or jester' shoes by their curled tops."

"I miss the time when I wore Greek pedila and krepis as well as Roman claigae and baxae. So there are times I will 'go retro'... is that not the saying?"

7. What is your OC's opinion on body modifications?
Mortmercaton: "...."
Oh! Ummm, he wouldnt answer. I'm surprised. Fine, I'll tell. He (secretly) thinks humans modifying their bodies is hot. As for himself he has thought about getting piercings. Real tattoos would disappear if he shape-shifted but his magic can allow him to have mystical symbols on his body. They just can't stay around since they are used for casting spells. He could fork his tongue or his penis, but he's not keen on the idea simply because he likes his physical body to be whole and unblemished. Guess he has a thing about not wanting to appear "damaged."

8. Your OC is given a full-ride scholarship to any college they could want to go to. Where do they go and what do they major in?
"Teh-he-he! Humans teach demons? That's rich. It is pitiful humanity is blind and ignorant of how much we have taught its entirety over so many millennia. But I guess I could pick up sculpting. I know anything I created would be a masterpiece, but I've still yet to make anything. I find this a travesty.

9. What chore does your OC hate the most?
"Chore? Do you realize I am bound to this planet and have been punished to barter with mortal's souls for what will be the rest of this planet's existence? My chore is to delude myself into thinking I enjoy existing and what role I play in this twisted reality! How is that for 'chore I hate the most'!?

10. Would your OC prefer to live in the city, the suburbs, or the country?
"None of these options suffice. I have my own spiritual plane I can retreat to when weary of this mortal realm."

"Blanket. Hog?" He quirks a brow.
I explain the phrase to Mortmercaton.
"Oh...." He taps the bridge of his nose. "There are times I found myself tightly wound in my blankets. So I... suppose that would be leaning towards affirmation."

"Fight?" He covers the front of his mouth to suppress a bark of a laugh, "Ta-haaa! Demonic battles are beyond mortal scope. There are no rules. It is a survival. Be obliterated, abscond, or decimate the spiritual entity contesting you. Though my kind cannot die, whoever is defeated would be at the complete mercy of the victor."

"Why yes, I think it a fantastic place. I love the dreary atmosphere."
I shake my head. He didn't get it, but I won't explain it to him.
No, he doesn't. His hair is uniform over most of his body so he has no specific head hair.

"Birthday? I was not born. I could substitute the day in which I was incarnated in a physical body."

"I have not been given a gift just for existing on the physical plane..."
He taps the side of his face for a moment.

I shake my head no. "Something we mortals can grant you."
He rolls his eyes, "I have the all document. You imbeciles can grant this to me."

"I am not in the domain of rot or decay as two of my siblings are. The putrification of living flesh offends my finer sensibilities. I have a potent sense of smell and its appearance even is not pleasant in any way to me. Fresh wounds and blood, on the other hand, are another matter entirely."

16. Your OC is suddenly on an adventure! Where do they go and what do they do?
"Adventure being?"
Exploring some part of this planet.
"I have been everywhere there are mortals. The uninhabited places are only of interest to Taciquies. This hypothetical scenario is frivolous drivel."

Mortmercaton taps his foot, "I suppose I would not mind exploring more mortal's dreams. Their creativity, despite suffering as infinitesimally minded beings, can be impressive. Some dreams open gates into spiritual planes even. A strange and beautiful horizon turns from that and O how vulnerable those few are."

"Now this is something I am eager to answer for you. I have had many styles of fashion throughout the eons, but I admit one era has captured my fancy for much longer than any other. The Elizabethan Era brought about the starched ruff around 1560 A.D. I simply adored the royalty of England at that time. The fashion trend lasted into the 17th century, but it has stayed with me. I do not always starch my ruffs, as you might notice some lie flat, but I think myself most bedecked and regal when I don a starched ruff."

"...we do not receive mail. We use spirit messengers or some of our own methods. The only one who has sent me script on parchment is Nekukakos. I will not say I was excited to receive his... invitation. I admire him for his knowledge and power but his body is just foul."

The motherboard fried... Damnit. It was so unexpected and now I have to get all my stuff off the hard drive and hopefully get a new laptop at some point. It happened a few weeks ago and I still haven't had time to address the issue. For now I'm "upgrading" to my guy's iMac. Been haunting FA now and again despite not posting anything or keeping up with people.

I'm feeling a return to art in general and hopefully that will encompass furry art.

I've been gone a long time now. Life's been stressful, but at least it has also been fulfilling in my relationships. Just need to get a job I can care two shits about, and more than that, a career going.

I have actually been drawing much of my time gone from here, but nothing ever gets finished. I'm still improving, thankfully, so when I do get something finished it should stand out!

I'll probably put up another journal giving some details on what's been going on. But for now, this'll do.

Sososo, I got this idea shat outta my gray matter tonight at 3am, April 25th. It culmo-nated and percolated fer a'while so it's not an epiphany s'much's it's an answer to my problem formed from indirect yet intrinsic inflect-shun.

I'll give myself a goal. It's not a mandate or somethin' else to hold over my head and doom myself to failure. How's about I keep it simple for my own sake?

1. NEW - anythin' within the last month I've scribbled down.
2. OLD - revisitin' work that was abandoned because I half-assed or I assumed it was shit.

Screw technicality that it's past 12am and so it's Sunday. I posted some stuff. A Valentine's card for my boyfriend and a sexy hot messy sketch of myself. Not naked or anything, but my roguish grin is sexy right?

I wish I could pop out art all nicely done, colored, shaded, with a background like no one's business but I FUCKING CAN'T and it pisses me off. I get distracted, I get caught up in frivolous detail or find myself drawing the same thing over and over and over, not to mention I get anxious about finishing anything I ever start. Don't get me started on how much I freak out if I ever try to enter a contest. I never get it done. SHIT. I hate this side of me. Damn stupid emotions and insecure thoughts getting in the way of my ART. FUCK.

Maybe... I can art away my rage. Maybe. Let's see what happens.

Oh, and yeah, I was gone from FA for months. I just did not feel like posting anything and life sort of had me by the balls as far as feeling creative and productive enough. I'm trying to pull out of it.

Eh, I'm angry, but I'm not. I just wish I had something done to show you guys is all. I'm not too worried about it anymore though. I just gotta take one thing at a time. Lately I've been drawing some Elder Scrolls themed stuff like argonians and such, but everything is just sketches as usual. I will probably post something soon. What "soon" means for me though, I'll never know.

FA activity fail is success!

I'm busy with a lot of nothing. Kills my muse, work ethic, and self esteem all in one fell swoop.
This will not do.

At least, if nothing else, I have been OCing with my good friend  lutefisk and it has kept me from becoming completely useless.
I have assorted Cave Story rule 34 featuring King to work with somehow. Might actually post some of it in the near future.

Also, to note, I have fully crossed over to the dark side. I will be drawing actual sex scenes now.

Lesse, I have been busy doing a lot of nothing, but it has been fun if a little exasperating here and there.

New things:
- 2 new pairs of shoes
- About 10 new outfits, including a Yoshi shirt!
- 4 new hats. A dark fedora, a gray golfer's cap, a black cap, and a gray Bowser beanie with tassels!
- A Bowser key chain.
- A small, black, hardcover sketch book.
- A Munny (person) and three Colorblanks (cat, dog, bird)
- I made three new Magic decks out of the cards I already own and a few new ones. They are pretty decent, but might need some balancing.
All items above were purchased with Christmas money and most on clearance, especially the clothes.

Developments:
- I moved to a new place.
- I'm going to be looking for a job related to my career. Cause I'm a stubborn bastard.
- My boyfriend upgraded me to his nice Toshiba laptop complete with Windows 7!
- I have a webcam and Skype account.
- I made another FA account for stories I want to do, but I have not posted anything to it yet.
- My mom is suddenly addicted to Mario Galaxies. She never plays video games. o_o

And the #1 news is that I now have a piercing! A labret about a half-inch under my bottom lip. I never would have thought even a few years ago that I'd ever get a piercing, but I like it and don't regret getting it.

So, I'm actually at my new home now. I still have a lot of loose ends to wrap up and things to finish, but it is good to not be driving so much now.

Life happens. I have been going through a lot. Between my father and I mostly. I have been a bit depressed since I can't cope with our constant arguments and just the general atmosphere of this home life. Not to mention, my job is based on disposable income which few people have these days. So I get little to no work now, and have to rely on others all the time for monetary support. It is making me miserable.

I am spending a lot of extra time around my boyfriend, not just to get away from my father, but because I just can't seem to spend enough time with my sweetheart. He means so much to me. Every moment away from him makes me feel empty. Unfortunately, we have been unable to move into a place of our own together.

I'll be moving soon. Sometime this month. I'll be 2 hours away from my love instead of 8 minutes.
I'm not sure how we will handle it, but I have no way of staying here anymore.

These issues have kept me from posting artwork and commenting on other people's art.
I am going to post some things in the next few days though. I think if I try to be productive with art, including posting to here, that it might help as an outlet, whether I "feel" like making art or not.

I just do not know for sure though what will happen next, and that bothers me. My attempts at keeping a positive outlook get crushed all the time. I have no direction.

It's not over for me. It never really is.

I always appreciate my watchers. I do. I don't post shouts to people's profiles to thank them for watches or favorites because, to me, it can seem a bit whorish and annoying. So I'll state on this journal:
Thank you all for watching me! I appreciate it. I love watches, feedback, critique, compliments, comments, favorites, all of the above!

Please let me know what you like/dislike about my work. I am not a crowd-pleaser so I won't automatically adjust to people's tastes, but neither will your statements fall on deaf ears. Any input at all will help me improve.

Starting today I am going to post AT LEAST one sketch a day, a work-in-progress once every other day, and something finished once a week.

If I apply such structure to my FA activity it might help me work out my issues with not thinking my stuff worth posting, but it might also force me to work out technical problems by raising my morale to improve instead of be lazy and lapse into the same bad habits.

Cheer for me peoples, furries, pansies, whatevers.

I'll be turnin' 24 tomorrow! Me and my twin! Hehe. No one knows about my twin, but if you read this now you know she exists. And yes, she's a girl since I said "she" cause she is female. She's not even a minute older than me. Still makes me call her big sister though.

And... she knows nothing about furries. I should probably not enlighten her on this subject. But I might ask her what her favorite animal is or what she might think she would be if she were an animal... I'm sure she'd be a feline too. She has said that before, but I'm not sure what type. Can't remember. But I'd draw it, show it to her, and maybe never let her know I'm going to put it on the internet. Would that be bad? Haha.

(If anyone says they want to yiff with the anthropomorphic representation of her that I draw, then I will reach through the internet and break you in half. Yes. I. Will.)

Anywho, 24... damn, and I still have not written any novels or become an established artist (out in the world or even on here yet.) Seems these are goals to reach before the big quarter-of-a-hundred milestone! :D

/rambling

UGH! I am going to put something new out soon I swear! Even if it kills me!
I wish I could say life has been dramatic, but really I have just been occupied.
Occupied is way better than DRAMA I will tell you what.

So, without further ado, soon art will ensue. :D

Ok... so I have been unproductive on FA within the last month and a half or so. This was not intentional, but it was not a bad thing either. I have a new story under my belt which I think everyone will love, and I will still diligently work on starting both the comic about the death demons, and the comic about the Politan brothers. If not comics then at least scene images which show a highlight of the stories. I have no practice with comics so I am still completely in the dark concerning how they might turn out.

One thing that has taken my interest lately is discovering RPG Maker XP for the PC. I know it might not seem like the best thing ever to some, and it has been out for a while, but I am really interested in making a game on there with custom art and all. I wanted to do something on Mugen as well, but I'm not sure of that now.

I am a bit more active socially, athletically, and with art not depicting furries so all that has taken up my time as well. I will still start taking commissions as soon as I can, but I cannot set a date for that yet.
I plan on recounting a little of how my first furry convention at Furry Fiesta went when I get the chance.

I have been in a lull of sorts for about 2 weeks now. I just can't seem to get myself to work on anything artistic at all. Guess the art pilot went out for a moment. No worries, I'll fetch some matches and things will be back on course.

On an important note, I will be accepting commissions as soon as all examples are finished.

It's official! I'll be going to FF out in Dallas this weekend!

We'll meet up with  lutefisk and his good friend  shake-your-fursona and hopefully have a blast there! This will be my first time meeting those two and it is also my first con to go to. I am ridiculously excited and nervous! I have no idea how I'm going to handle this, but I'm hoping for the best!

We'll be staying Friday night till Saturday night.
