So... no details yet really, but I think I might actually be able to go to Furry Fiesta. It'd be my first Furcon if I can go.
If I do, I'll be going with my boyfriend,  isaso and we'll meet up with  lutefisk and a friend of his at some point of the trip.

I am not sure I like the fact that it is disco-themed, but it should still be fun so that won't stop me from going. I just need to gather enough funds and set up everything. If that goes smoothly, then I'll be there!

Ahem, well, the holidays threw me off way more than I thought possible. It's taking me a while to get back to doing the last of the digital stuff.

I plan on trying to work with Flash to see what kind of crappy animations I can start out with. Wish me luck on that mess.

Although I put it off, I still am going to work with pixel art and possible MUGEN characters, but it will be a while before I can get around to it.

As usual, there will be a trickle of random things and stuff I do for myself.

BAHAHAABAHAAHABA! WHY CAN'T I FINISH MY ARTS!?

Here's an update for those in the wait list... which those that have been waiting have been waiting for a while and I do apologize.

The lineart for a collab with  iferret is coming along nicely.
He has been waiting the least amount of time, and hopefully I can wrap this up in the next few days.

The detailed request from  felixbandercoot has been started.
It still has a ways to go, but at least it is getting done.

I told  sero a looooong time ago that I was going to do a traditional portrait of his fursona.
Out of aggravation for not just doing it, I decided to reward his patience by doing two full-color digital works for him instead. SURPRISE.
The first should be finished along the same time as the lineart for iFerret.

I have finished making the frames for an animated icon for  combatraccoon
So now I just have to do the animation for it. It is not toon animated, just a slideshow-like icon which will have her saying a few things.

I am also going to start working on a depiction of  daef as soon as I get the other things done.

If there is anyone I missed, then please let me know. I feel it is crunch time and I should get it all finished so I can focus on my own artwork. Speaking of such, I have about 4 new things for myself that I have been working on so they will be mixed in the other posts as I get these done.

EDIT: I did miss someone. I knew there was something.
I am doing a depiction involving two of  sarlune's characters: Rosalyn and a as of yet nameless neko girl.

Sometimes I feel I have original ideas, and then I find them already being done by someone else. It is very discouraging.

Sarah Silverman describes this creative frustration in a colorful song:

I. Catter needs to get better!
-A. Improve on form and structure.
-B. Try to work most with line as it is my strong point.
-C. Whatever I draw, try to branch out a little.
-D. Practice like crazy by doing requests and art trades. <- Where I am right now.

-E. Review everything and try to pick up any unfinished work.

II. Catter takes a step back.
-A. Look at oil pastels, watercolor, and other traditional media.
-B. Move toward emulating illustrative styles.
-C. Let my darkside get a turn before it starts invading my dreams.
-D. Draw some traditional works or at least imitate them digitally.
-E. Throw some monsters in the mix.

This is a rough outline of where I want to go with my art. So far I am going this way, and so everyone might see some of the other side of me.
All I mean by that really is that I like to design monsters and depict the macabre almost as much as I like to draw original characters and create original races.
I still have four requests and an art trade to finish, and I am finishing up a digital of Nekradonna as well as the first depiction of Nekukakos, brother to Mortmercaton and Nekradonna.

Not much to go on about here, but I was just making sure to say thank you to those who bother looking at and commenting on my artwork. THANKS! :D

Special kudos to  combatraccoon for noticing that I am trying to better my art and following along. Also to  felixbandercoot for his encouragment. A quick thanks to  dreamous even though he does not comment on my stuff, I ran my first furry sketches by him and he helped me gather enough resolve to actually start posting my art in the first place.

No thanks to my boyfriend  isaso because he is too lazy to comment on my stuff, and too distracted to make some of his own artwork which he shows tons of talent for!

But thanks to all of you, really! I thrive on comments even if they are just "cool" or "i like it."
I'm too down on my stuff so anything positive does heaps good for my self esteem!

Ah so... I was absent for a bit.
After the funeral last month I have been to four birthday parties, a wedding, and been on two vacation trips. And so I guess life does go on. But I will always remember the one who died.

Catter Hatter, the character and alter ego of my fursona, happens to have a Cajun accent. And see the problem is I've not heard much Cajun accented English. I picked out a few vids on youtube and was able to get some idea, but I fear I am lacking.

Eventually I plan on drawing Catter much more and so I would like to authenticate his accent a bit. Written out it makes it a bit tougher to know exactly what to put.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Sad part is I apparently have some Cajun relatives on my mom's side, but I don't know any of them at all.

Agh blah ne kha! There is no time for me to do anything artistic these days!

Hrm, well, I just started my job, but it is dragging along and takes up my time.
Also, there are people around me all the time to distract the hell out of me, and I have no lock on my freakin' door. They just bust on in like I don't mind that they invade my privacy. If I was not so tender-hearted and nonconfrontational there would be faces smashed in I am telling you what! Grrrrrrrrr!

But anyway, I've been trying to do something on my tablet, but it is soooo new to me all I have done so far is scribbles. I guess I can post some in scraps soon. I dunno.

I need some damn support. YAY it was rant time. Now it is not.

Well, some of the anatomy practice paid off. I think I'm very close to going from sketches to color work and more complicated things.
I might even make backgrounds!... Eh, well I should not get carried away. Ghahaha.

I feel that I am getting more comfortable with my own style, and I'm not quite as rigid as I used to be. Here's to progress!

Alright, alright. So, I'm still sketching constantly.

I've made some discoveries.

1. I draw bones almost as much as the muscles so... many of my characters are going to be toothpick boys. There will be buff hunks though. Maybe even some chubby dudes.

2. I don't work well with anything permanent. I screw up way too much so the eraser is my best friend and it is constantly burnt into a stub.

3. I actually do draw female things well enough. Will I ever post any? Sure. There will be some lady characters.

4. Writing is my scene, so the pictures will come with generous background information and sometime elaborate stories. I will most likely make some comics when I get good enough.

5. There are things I should have had down long ago, but I'm too rigid. I need to relax my style and approach sometimes. Especially when it comes to line on the body.

6. The anthro/animal balance will fluctuate a lot with my stuff. Some will appear almost human and a few mostly feral. This is something I will do and keep doing. So some of the characters might vary in ways, but it's still the same character, and there is no tranformation in progress unless I say otherwise.

7. I love critiques, support, and all that. I don't bite unless you want me to. =^_^=

First journal and all that. Any welcomes to FA would be nice.

This means if anyone wants me to sketch something, then ask me, and I'll do it for free if I think I have the time. Doubt this will last long so be sure to take advantage of it.

My fursona is not Catter Hatter himself. It is a draconic cat guy which is yet to be named. I hope some people like sketches enough to bother looking, and I hope some people like journals enough to actually read them.
