1yr...depressing
Posted 12 years agoWell it has been 1yr since the passing of my uncle, he was an awesome guy with a sick sense of humor. He loved to go to Burning Man to people watch and look at random women's boobs. He was a true booby hunter, his huge metal shop were he restored cars in had bras hanging from the ceiling. Beside the fact he was my Dad's best friend they were only 18mos apart and I nearly killed my dad when he passed. Only to loose my twin brother in July, another tragedy of loss that hit my family hard. We are all still trying to cope with both losses. Next month they select the jury that will make the decision if they will convict the person who hit my brother and his girlfriend. The trail won't probably be until August around our birthday...Happy Birthday to me.. NOT. All I can ask for is JUSTICE for my brother. I am not prepared to let it be a year since his passing next month
Can't wait for SacAnime!

Living without my other half...
Posted 13 years agoAs most of you know my brother recently passed away on July 29th 2012 early morning. Everyday without him is a struggle and thinking about how happy he was before the incident happened it makes me hurt and sad. If I had one wish it would to go back in time and made sure he didn't come to Sacramento with me that Monday morning. I still can play the phone call in my head, and rushing to the car with my parents and being so angry that this happen to my family. The anger is still there not really directed at the person who caused all of this turmoil and grief upon my family, but the society and the "system" that failed. Everyday I hear by clients at my work or close friends who has been affected the same way as my family by loosing a loved one at the hands of another... or vehicle in this matter. Why is it so hard to not to think he is going to come down the stairs in our house in the morning with his messed up hair getting a bowl of cereal, and him telling me his crazy dreams and how you should not listen to TOOL while sleeping.
Thanks for taking the time to read my rambling...

Living in Grass Valley, CA
Posted 13 years agoIt is a different kind of life living in a rural area.. MANY different people of shapes, sizes, ethnicity, religion, and relationship views ( gay, straight , bisexual, and any other relationship). After being in a recent accident with my girlfriend, where she lost control of her little car (due to the snow coming down) and we did a 360 and sliding into the opposite side of the road into a ditch. You wouldn't believe how many people stopped to see if we were okay and if we needed a cell phone or a lift home.. It's nice to know that good down to earth people still do exist. :)
Good news is that we are both fine, but her car wasn't looking to good after the tow truck pulled it out of the ditch.
