December Update: A Lucky Second Season and More
General | Posted a week agoHey all!
I've been pretty inconsistent with things in so far as updates go. With story creation too.
I would apologize, but that's life sometimes, right? I won't go into too much detail as I prefer to keep spheres of my life separated to a degree, but I do in fact have a busy life outside this community and, at the end of the day, those elements of my life take priority. Without going into more detail than I wish to give, I am a married man (17 years together. Not married, just years together ^^). I have a professional career which requires a lot of attention and that I care greatly about. My wife has been back in college for a new pathway and I've been supporting her by taking care of the house, cooking meals so she can focus on school work, and doing odd yard work through the on season to pay for her tuition so we don't take on any debt. We're also looking to buy our first house in a few months (fingers crossed). So there's a lot.
If ever I go quiet for a bit, it's most likely that I am giving needed attention there. I'll be back. We just have to move where needed when it's needed.
Also, I actually only found out a few months ago, through an official diagnosis, that I have ADHD and General Anxiety Disorder. That explains a lot of things and I wish I knew about this sooner than my dang mid thirties. >_> In fact, finding out so late in the game sort of left me bitter and worried for a spell. That required some processing. That said, figuring this out, and getting medication (did you know that constant anxious thoughts and nervousness isn't normal? Me either!) has been very helpful. Not only in just the general knowing myself and my brain chemistry, but also of managing all the things I care about. Creativity included.
Anyway, enough about all that for now. Let's talk about what's going on with my community creations, shall we? ^^
While writing pieces slowed down for a bit there, I took time to write down in a document all the various ideas I had and series I wanted to work with at the time of making it. It totaled out to well over a hundred ideas and those were just the ones at that moment. New ones have already joined in the weeks since making that list. It's both exciting and intimidating, but mostly exciting.
As said, I have a ton going on in my life. I've been working on some ways to make it all balance and get back to things here as well. Once I got going with picking out a handful of ideas, the girls of Lucky Star and the many ideas I already had came right back up. I started with them after all. Better yet, Tamae, Snow Powder, Rabbit Queen, and others all shared my enthusiasm and made some of their own ideas to add to my own, some you may have seen, other I know have been kept under wraps for now, and have been chatting with me to further expand the tales with those girls. Season 2 is well under way now. ^_^
I mean, sometimes I feel like I've given the Lucky Star girls more attention than the original author (290 pages on the season 1 PDF), might as well keep it going.
Across this coming year I want to write quite a few tales from my Season 2 plans. I also intend to get back to my original novel On That Road which takes inspiration from what I've done before, but having mapped out 30 or so chapters, I can assure you, Patia's journey is its own unique story. Between character designs created by a combination of community artists who wanted to support the project and the ideas I have, I'm very excited to get more with that.
I've also got a lot of other ideas like I mentioned from that list and some stories that have work started in the background. More with: Precure (various seasons), Cardcaptor Sakura (I Don't Think We're in Tomoeda has a fair bit planned, among other ideas), Little Goody Two Shoes, Play of the Game, and more.
My current goal is to get at least one new chapter to you all each week. Though, one to paid platforms, one to the public, as well as uploading the art with a public tale wherever I can once it is put out for all to read. So I hope you'll all support me as I'm giving my best!

CCDPA Says: Just Say No To Bot Slop
General | Posted 2 weeks agoAnyone remember those old public service announcement type segments in old cartoons like GI Joe or edited into anime brought over like Sailor Moon? Well, I'm taking that for me and a series of journals I'd like to start: 'CCDPA Says'. I've been told I have strong morals or something by people, and I have a good number of eyes on my platforms, so why not? This is my soapbox to speak on things I deem important and I encourage questions or comments. However, like you should have been taught, if you don't have something nice to say, you need not say anything at all.
"Just Say No To Bot Slop"
Ok, kiddos and caretakers, I know you must have seen it out there by now. Those images or pieces of writing that have this same-like feel. That their publisher is able to put out so rapid fire that it just isn't human. That's called Bot Slop.
Some may say that it's 'art', but that's just not true. Art is a process. It requires us to think, reflect, and look both within ourselves and out into the world to make something, be that pictures, stories, or something else. It takes time and choices, even our small ones, define that. Creating something takes our human hearts and often times that is painful. What we make isn't perfect, it is work that we begrudge sometimes, it has flaws or moments that it almost didn't get made. That too is part of making art.
A program can't be a part of that process. It never will.
I know it's tempting. A few clicks and the idea you thought of might suddenly be right there. But that's a hollow deal, kids. Let me explain some reasons why:
1: Our community (and others) is built on art.
Art, in all its forms, is how people express ourselves. It's how ideas have been put into the world as a sort of lure to see if they would be accepted. This goes all the way back in history to pieces of writing that changed the minds of people and nations, to characters in books, films, and shows giving representation and validity to certain groups of people, and it especially means something to our community. Back when the community was much younger, and many of you were in diapers the first time, pieces of art showing a favorite anime character diapered up being put out there in pictures or writing allowed us to see that we weren't the world's sole weirdos. There were others like us out there. One picture or story inspired others to create, to echo that there were more of us. It kept on and on. Today, the community is thriving. A new cute character might be hauled to the changing table hours into their being shown to the world. Each artist expressing themselves with it and those who don't create able to still by sharing and commenting on the work. Art is community.
2: Art is livelihood
It used to be that there were a small handful of artists in the community to bring all our ideas to life. You wouldn't even have to take off your socks to count that high, kiddos. Now there are so many artists and writers out there ready to diaper, spank, and otherwise put the characters you love or create into the situations in your imagination. Many of them try to use their skills, that they honed from years of hard work (art isn't an easy process ) to earn money to get by in the world. They're worth paying. That art you want has just as much value as the video game you were thinking of or the movie you might skip seeing until next week instead. There is a much larger discussion to be had about it, but understand that Bot Slop isn't made for free either. It's just free to you perhaps. Artists and writers out there have their work stolen by these bots without their permission so it can piece something together in its soulless way. Stealing out of need is one thing. Stealing from a friend or neighbor is not. Remember that, kiddos. You wouldn't want someone stealing from you.
3: Bot Slop hurts our mother
When I say this, I mean the mama we all share. Mother Earth. These programs use a ton of energy and fresh water for even just one image or piece of writing. That includes one question to ChatGPT or another similar program. I encourage you all to do the homework on this, but it has already being causing big problems for our communities and more over our super nice shared mama and only so we can be bratty and get something we could make on our own? That's not very nice at all. Mother Earth raised us better than that and we can't be mean to her. We'll make her cry.
There's more we could talk about, but that should be enough to help convince you. Kindly let others know what you know, ask them nicely to stop using these things. And I mean entirely. Not even one more question to Chat GPT or one more picture. And you be good and practice what you preach, kiddos and caretakers. If they won't, then it's ok to block those people. I'm doing so for everyone who uploads any at all and I hope you all do the same.
It's up to all of us to make a better community and world and that includes just saying no to Bot Slop. That's what CCDPA says.

Trying harder, with a goal
General | Posted 4 years agoHey all.
So I've been trying to be more consistent lately with my writing despite having to balance that with my life for awhile being busier. I made a goal to myself to write every single day for four weeks and with the help and support of some very close community friends, rather family, I was able to do it minus missing two days that real life obligations were too much. Still 26 out of 28 days isn't bad at all and many of you have read the stories produced during that time which I hope you've enjoyed.
Well without broadcasting everything about my personal life an opportunity for advancement in my career field that I thought was assured was actually ripped from me at the last moment which I found out about two days ago. Worse yet is this will negatively impact my financial situation. Kind of sucks but crying over it accomplishes nothing.
Instead of sulking and feeling sorry for myself I'm gonna try harder at the things I can control while getting myself right back up on the professional stuff. In that way I've set a new goal for my writing of one page everyday at least and in that way hope to really get more content out to the community to enjoy.
I have a long list of my own projects, collaborations, and commissions that patrons have long since discussed with me wanting to create so I'm eager to get some of those ideas realized. As I try to really go at this whole things stronger than I have I would ask that if you're a fan and can afford it to consider supporting my efforts and help keep things going behind the keyboard. I have both a Patreon which gets you early access to my works and community discord server and Ko-Fi account if you wanna just tip for a well liked story of mine or something like that.
Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/CCDPA
Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/ccdpa
I hope to earn more supporters of what I do as I go, even 1$ more helps. I'll do my very best.
Gonna also work to fully update my account up to speed here with my DA and Pixiv, just harder to post stories here on a general basis. ^_^;

August Poll Winner: Lucky Star Sick Day
General | Posted 4 years agoHey all so the August poll on my patreon is concluded though only one girl or girls wins the trip to the changing table they are all winners right? Results are below:
Lucky Star: To Each Her Own Chapter 3:
5 votes
Lucky Star: Sick Day Chapter 2:
5 votes
Precure: Erika and the Nanny Chapter 2:
1 votes
RWBY: Weiss
3 votes
With that those active in the community discord suggested settling the tie with a coin flip in which in two out of three flips "Sick Day" came out on top. But in good news it gives me time to sit on ideas with Misao and Konata's trip to daycare, I can actually watch more Heart Catch Precure to get familiar with the characters, and though I had no idea with it whatsoever a random literary joke and conversation with my lovely mod and patron Amara has given me such inspiration for Weiss to get a short story of her own that I now find I'm very eager to write.
Welp that's all to say about that. Come along Yutaka. ^_^
If you wanna support my efforts, be a part of my discord community and be a part of future polls (5$ tier or higher) I'd certainly welcome the support over on patreon:

Trying again with Patreon
General | Posted 4 years agoHey all.
So I had started a patreon last year around this time in an effort to make a bit of extra money from my side passion of community writing. Honestly unlike others in the community I have no desire to get so big that this becomes my main source of income or anything but the idea of making extra and being able to feel more comfortable taking time from my other avenues of money is appealing for sure. Support kind of wavered up and down as I really didn't know what to do with it to keep myself from having to do quite so much but still produce. The pressure of it is part of why I wasn't as productive early on this year to be honest. But like with commissions I think I've figured things out a bit better so I'm giving it another shot.
Here's how it works:
1$ a month is a tier for just general support. If you enjoy my stuff well enough and can spare a buck each month to support the efforts it would mean a lot. Every little bit helps.
2$ a month has the benefit of being invited to my community discord server as well as three days early access to any new stories.
5$ a month would get discord access as well as a golden role on the discord to distinguish them and seven days first access to any new stories.
Honestly it's not a ton of benefits and I'm not sure I'm prepared at this time to offer more than that lest I get too stressed about trying to meet certain benefits and end up hindering my own ability to create. Still if you like what I do and are willing to support I'd love the help on this effort. I am actually quite busy with various other life engagements but I want to give this part of my life the effort I think it deserves and with the uncertainty we've all faced in recent times I want to be able to create with a slight less stress.
So yeah I would ask fans who can and consider my work quality enough to support to do so while knowing it is largely a donation bin. ^_^; But hey early access for stories such as current chapters of Rwby: Big Brave Bun Chapter 5 that just went live. ^_^

Adding to works
General | Posted 5 years agoHey all. So I feel pretty good on my writing efforts here. Coming up on ten months or so that I've been decently active, some months more than others but that just happens. I've made a bunch of works since then for myself, commissioners and patrons and with each one I've tried to be sure to put in love and care in making something you'd all like in all of them. However thing is most are one shots or two chapters at best. My stories I look at most fondly are Little Times of Haruhi Suzumiya (has plenty more it could get added to) and Sakura's Birthday Adventure in part because I could make something more involved. So I want to give that treatment to another story of mine which my patrons will be able to vote on this upcoming month. So sound off in the comments on what you'd like to see and maybe why you want to see it.
I'm still making my FA page to be updated but my full story galleries can be found here:
