Life update
Posted 4 years agoHey everyone! Just thought I'd make a journal giving some updates on some recent changes in my life over the last year.
We're now a year into the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately my mental health has taken a massive toll since the first lockdown back in March last year. The lack of fur meets and conventions has left me feeling empty and socially deprived, and being unable to travel and see friends was making me sink to one of the lowest points in my whole life.
The situation at home wasn't helping either. My parents were very strict and wouldn't even let me go to the shop by myself in fear I would bring COVID back to the house. I was only allowed to go for a walk for an hour a day, and any parcels I ordered had to be left outside for 3 days in case they were contaminated. This was affecting me to the point I didn't want to be there anymore. On the 10th of June, I packed a few essentials and moved out from my parent's house as I had to leave for my own wellbeing. My mum freaked out and called the police to report me as missing, despite leaving a note behind telling her where I would be staying. I also felt like I was being guilt tripped into returning home, but I refused to give in. I made my decision that I wouldn't be going back.
I moved to Bristol for a while, where some friends let me stay with them and help me to get my life back on track. In July, I returned to my parent's house to pick up the rest of my stuff like my PC and game consoles.
Things were starting to get a bit better for me once household visits were allowed again, as I could finally start seeing my friends again. I traveled around a bit to see some friends that I hadn't seen since the last BristolFurs meet back in March 2020. In August, I attended a small outdoor socially distanced fur meet hosted by a friend which was a lot of fun, and it was nice to see more people again. I also met another new friend at a camping event, and we eventually became partners.
October came and things were starting to look grim again with the increase of new COVID infections. When the 2nd lockdown was announced, I decided I would move in with my partner before that came into effect. Over the next few days, I sorted my stuff and I moved again in November, just one day before the lockdown. We were both in a house share, which wasn't really ideal, but it would be ok for us short term until we find our own place. The next month was tough being back in lockdown, especially with schools still open at that point, but having my partner by my side made things a lot more bearable.
December came along and our area was placed into tier 2 restrictions. We spent a few days going out and exploring whilst things were still open. Only a little over 2 weeks later, we were placed into tier 4 and everything was closed again. I was planning to visit my family for Christmas, which never happened due to being in tier 4, so I spent it with my partner instead which was nice.
The new year rolled in, and it was announced that England would yet again be going into lockdown. My mental health once again took a hit, but having my partner by my side was literally the only thing still keeping me sane. Unfortunately the situation with the house share was getting worse every day, with the housemates arguing and talking behind our backs, even though we did nothing wrong. We had to get out of there asap. We started looking at places, and found a lovely 2 bedroom flat in the north of England. The last week of living there was absolute hell, and I almost had a total breakdown. We moved in late February, leaving that house behind for good.
It's now the 14th of March, and things are starting to look better for us. We're unfortunately still under lockdown, but we have a roadmap out of this, and I'm hoping it goes to plan so I can actually live my life. I have my own independence away from my family, just COVID is currently restricting what I can do. When this lockdown ends, I will be making the most of life, pushing myself, getting out there more, and not holding back. I'm 30 years old, damn it, I deserve to live my life the way I want, not how others tell me to live it.
That's all for now. Stay safe, everyone. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and this will all be over soon. *hugs you all*

Happy new year!
Posted 8 years agoWell, that's another year over and another year of new opportunities starts. Here are some good things that happened to me in 2017:
I've made a lot more friends thanks to the furry fandom, both online and IRL. I used to consider myself quite an introverted person, but the fandom has helped me to open up and talk to more people. Thank you to all my friends, old and new, you all mean so much to me. *hugs you all*
My cryptocurrency investments have gone up a lot since the beginning of 2017. Back then I had about £1,000 worth of Bitcoins and other cryptos, and now it's worth over £10,000. Maybe in a few more years I'll become a crypto millionaire. Shoutout to Ghost from True Capitalist Radio for getting me into crypto.
I got my first kiss. I know, 26 seems a bit old to get it, but better late than never I say. Back in September 2017, I asked a friend of mine if I could try it with him, and he said yes. He kissed me on the lips for a few seconds, then he gave me some tongue as well. It was so gay, but I loved it! It was definitely a nice feeling, and something I'll never forget. It also helped me to accept my bisexuality, and I'm now proud to be bi. ^^
So yeah, 2017 was definitely a very memorable year for me. I hope 2018 will be just as amazing, if not more. I hope everyone else will have a great year too. :3
Also one of my new years resolutions is to build stronger friendships, and to meet up with my friends more.

Might move my fursuit pics to FA
Posted 8 years agoSince Furry Network is pretty much dead these days, I'm thinking of moving my old fursuit pictures and uploading new ones here. Should get a little bit more attention then.
Also I will be uploading my Furcation pics sometime soon. Just been kinda busy/lazy recently. XD

Furcation 2017
Posted 8 years agoLast week I went to Furcation 2017 in Combe Martin, Devon, with my friend
AshWareWolf. It was my first furry event outside of meets, and it was awesome! I met some of my old friends and made some new ones. The events there were also a lot of fun, some of my favourites being the fursuit sports, photo shoot, innuendo bingo, retro games corner, closing ceremony, and The Crystal Maze episode showing. Sadly it was over quite quick, but I had such an amazing time there! I will definitely be returning next year. ^^
Also I should be uploading some photos from the event sometime. I will update this post when the album is ready. :3

Updates (4th of September, 2017)
Posted 8 years agoHey, everyone! This is a quick journal with a few updates on stuff.
I'm starting to get a little bit more independence for myself, and I'm hoping soon I'll be able to travel further from home and visit some friends. It will be nice when I can actually go and visit some friends by myself. :3
Furcation is all registered and paid for. I will be travelling down with
AshWareWolf and room sharing with a few other friends. I should hopefully get my provisional licence in a few days, as I'll need to use it for ID to enter the event.
I also got my first kiss! A friend of mine was willing to let me try it with him, and I have to say, it felt kinda nice and was really exciting. So yeah, I kissed another guy (So gay XD) and I loved it. ^^
That's all for now. Things are looking pretty good for me right now, and I hope it continues to stay that way. Have a great day, everyone. *hugs you all*

Need to get some things off my chest...
Posted 8 years agoThis is a journal explaining my current situation about a few things.
I would love to attend some more fur meets, or even just meet up with some friends. I do get pretty lonely here as I have no local friends to meet up with. The problem is, I feel anxious travelling far from home by myself due to a few reasons, mainly due to my Asperger's syndrome, and also my mum is a bit overprotective of me. I understand she's only looking out for me, but I really want to go out of my comfort zone and try to attend meets or meet up with friends by myself. I only attend meets when a friend is with me, but he can't always be around, so I don't get to attend meets when he's not here. I just need a bit more of a confidence boost, and to prove to my mum that I'm capable of handling myself. I do feel like I'm ready for this, but it's convincing my mum that I'm ready that's the hard part.
I also feel ready to find a partner. This may sound pathetic, but I'm 26 years old and I've never been in a relationship. Heck, I've never even kissed anyone. I have tried talking to different people, but so far I've had no luck finding someone. All the people I've been interested in are either taken or got with someone else before I made my move. I've only ever confessed my feelings to one person, but sadly they didn't feel the same way for me, so that left me quite heartbroken for a while. :( I'm not going to let that discourage me finding someone else, though. I'm sure there's someone out there looking for someone like me, the hard part is actually finding them.
What I'm looking for in a relationship is:
Someone with a few common interests (Gaming would ideally be one of them).
Someone that's really kind, caring, and affectionate. Lots of hugs and snuggles would be nice. <3
Lives somewhat close. I don't really want to do a long distance relationship with someone I'll barely be able to see.
Male partner preferred.
So yeah. Hopefully things will turn out better for me soon. Any advice on the things I talked about would be much appreciated.

Journal of stuff
Posted 8 years agoHey everyone. This is a journal to let you all know how I've been doing recently.
I've been attending the BristolFurs meets more, and I'm finally starting to make some more friends. I've considered myself a very introverted person in the past, and I never used to go out much, but joining the furry fandom has made me feel more sociable and more confident to talk to people.
I'm also going to Furcation this year with a couple of friends, so I'm really looking forward to that! It will be my first furry event outside of meets. ^^
As for my fursuit commission, it's still not done yet, despite having a completion date in June. I will leave it a bit longer and get in touch with the maker in a couple of weeks if I still haven't heard anything. My homemade fursuit will have to do for now still.
So yeah, that's about it for now. I hope all of you are having a good time. Take care of yourselves. :)

Description of Jev in Engrish (Messing with translators)
Posted 9 years agoI converted my description of Jev from English, to Japanese, and back to English using http://www.systranet.com/translate . Yes, I'm that bored. xD
For ref seat fast information:
Personality: You play, the half kindness, bashfulness
The same type: mamaito and character, there is with the music - eighties from the friend and seventies
Repugnance: The sparrow drumstick, to make the air of heat and end, the impolite people
Detailed information:
Jevon “Jev” is the orphan of the blue whose anthro is faint. He uses the time of the close friend, it is foolish, you inquire about the music from seventies and eighties, eat mamaito with the toast, and pass by the forest, the plain and the beach and you enjoy the fact that it goes for walking. In addition as for him the wild animal of the wildness like the bird and the lith is loved.
With he is born and has lived in area of 1992 August 28th, English southwest.
As for Jev first however it is possible to be bashful, the kindness, there is a consideration very around the people where he is new. As for him those which are liked you respect the opinion of the other people of for the sake of, do not judge. However, he made soon the air, judgment or the people who do not know you do not like.

Furry Network
Posted 9 years agoI just created an account on Furry Network if anyone wants to follow me there. I might use it as my fursuit account.

Fursuit situation (04/05/2016)
Posted 9 years agoSo there's been a slight change of plan on getting my fursuit. I am still getting one commissioned at the end of this year/early next year, however until then, I've decided to get some parts and try making my own. I recently got a head base, and I'm going to get some materials for it. I'm hoping to have it finished by June or July. I think it will be a fun project! :D
Fursuit situation
Posted 9 years agoHere's the current situation with me getting a fursuit:
The good news: I managed to find a UK based fursuit maker and I've already paid the deposit for it. I'll be getting a partial suit of Jev.
The bad news: I'm probably not going to get the suit until the end of the year or even early 2017.
So yeah, I'm getting a fursuit! It's just going to be a long wait before I actually get it, but I'm still pretty excited about it. It will be worth the wait. :D

Thinking about getting a fursuit
Posted 10 years agoSo I've been thinking about this for a while, and I've decided that I want to get a fursuit. Unfortunately they are very expensive, which I can understand due to the time and effort to make them, and the cost of the materials to build it. It might also be difficult to get one as I need to find out who is making them and whether they have commissions open. Despite this, I still want to get one. It will be based off of my fursona, Jev, however I might give him a slight redesign before I get the suit (He will keep the same fur colour and hairstyle, I will just change some fur patterns slightly). I will get at least a partial suit, though I might get a full suit depending on my budget and how much money I can make. I do not currently have the money to afford one just yet, so I will be trying to sell some things to go towards it, including a custom built PC. The system is now fully assembled and the specs are as follows:
Case: Antec 902 v3
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme4
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 635
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7850 2GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB
Optical drive: DVD burner
PSU: Corsair CX600
I will be asking for £400 for this PC, which I think is a reasonable price. I will most likely put it in a local classifieds as postage might be difficult and expensive due to the size and weight of the system. Hopefully it will sell and then I should just about be able to afford getting my fursuit. :D

How my fursona, Jev, got his name
Posted 10 years agoI'm going to share a kinda funny story about how I came up with the name Jev for my fursona. The name comes from a story my mum told me a while ago.
Many years ago when I was still a baby, I was on holiday with my parents in Penzance, Cornwall in the summer of 1992. They knew an old man down there, and this is how the conversation went when he asked what my name was:
Old man: "What's his name?"
My mum: "Adam."
Old man: "Jevon?"
My mum: "No, Adam."
Old man: "Oh, Jevon!"
The poor old guy must have misheard my name as I think Jevon is a Cornish name.
When I decided to create my fursona and think of a name, I remembered the story my mum told me and I decided to use the name Jevon, with Jev as a shortened version which he will most commonly be known as.
And that's how Jev was born. :P

I'm becoming more interested in the furry fandom
Posted 10 years agoSo like the title says, I've recently gained more interest in the furry fandom. I've always liked furry art for a couple of years now, though I feel like I want to properly be part of the fandom. Since I lost interest in MLP:FiM and the Brony fandom, I think this will be a good replacement for it. Plus the furry fandom seems mostly nice, unlike a lot of Bronies that seemed a bit hypocritical, IMO. Hopefully the furry fandom will be more accepting.
I do have an idea for a fursona, and I will make it public once I can get some kind of reference for it. The problem is, my artistic skills aren't great, so drawing it myself probably won't turn out very well, or could take me a long time to finish. I might consider commissioning someone if I can't do it myself. I might also create a new FA profile for my fursona, and anything related to it will be posted there.
I also want to get a fursuit based on my fursona. I've decided I will definitely get one at some point. However, it will be an expensive investment. A partial would be nice at least, though a full suit would be even better. It's probably going to cost me at least £500 for a partial, or around £650 - 700 for a full suit. Another thing to consider is the amount of care and maintenance a fursuit needs to keep it in good condition. I will also need somewhere clean and safe to store the suit when it's not being used, which is impossible in my room in its current state unless I get rid of some other stuff first. I have some old PC parts that I might try and sell, as well as a fully assembled system. This should give me the money and space I need for my fursuit. As for the PC I'm selling, it will be a mid-end gaming system with the following specs:
Case: Antec 902
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme4
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 720 @ 2.8GHz (Can be unlocked to 4 cores)
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3
GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7850 2GB
HDD1: Maxtor 160GB
HDD2: Seagate Pipeline 500GB
Optical drive: DVD-RW burner
PSU: Corsair CX600
It should be capable of running most newer games on at least medium settings at 1080p. I will start it off at £400, which I think is a reasonable price for a pre-built custom PC like this. There will be no operating system included, so you will have to get that yourself. I will let you know when the PC is ready for sale. Also postage will be limited to the UK only due to the size and weight of the system.
Anyway, I'll see how my fursona turns out when I try drawing it or commissioning someone else to draw it for me. I look forward to participating in the fandom more. :)
