I shall get used to it. It has happened most of the time back in the day, but once it comes back from a really long time... fuck. I feel like, whenever I try to fix things and shit, I screw it all up even more. I try my best to make the most people happy, but idk what I'm doing wrong. I just don't.

Chronicle of a Computer Error
Posted 8 years agoHello everyone. Cedric here, for the first time in like Ever xD xD I know, I missed a lot during these days, despite me not being dead or anything. It actually happened a lot of stuff which I would like to explain here
I believe the first and main reason due to the "lack" of art recently is because of a problema my laptop had since the middle of December. First the charger thing, now its an inside issue. Turns out that there was a time when, after 15 minutes in average after starting up the computer, it goes to the classical Blue Screen with the error BAD_POOL_HEADER. This error consisted in an issue with either the drivers of the system or an installed software that is conflicting with the other parts of the software. I had been updating those drivers, which are the network adapters such as monitors, keyboard and stuff (Yes, even the hardware must be updated for once in a while). I had some of those non upgraded, but once all of them were, the problem still happened BUT this time it corrupted the PSD files of the stuff I was working in, which on that time was a final Project I had for Game Design class. I also tried rebooting the laptop to either the fabric state or a previous checkpoint (you know, like in the videogames) that the system lastly saves, when you turn off manually the computer. Those things didn't work either, and I didn't want to spend money in a issue where apparently the solution is something I could do myself, so I also checked in other articles, even on Windows' official website, that a recently updated or installed software was the cause of the problem, SO I uninstalled innecessary stuff I had on the computer, even deleting files I'm not using any longer, and I want to believe the problem is solved. It didn't crash neither reboot for 2 days and I start to think the problem was solved for good.
You can find out if the drivers of your computer are updated or not by looking for Display Manager at the main menu of Windows. It takes you no time but I suggest to reboot manually the computer whenever you update each driver that needs to be upgraded. I partially recommend installing a software that helps analysing all the drivers, even the ones that the system marks as updated, and it directly downloads all the updated drivers, BUT an issue I had with this is that most of the times it shows displays or drivers that ain't compatible non necessary to the computer.
If you guys had any trouble of the same nature that has been solved or looking for a solution, I would be glad to read that out and see if mine or said problem can be solved.

See, I wanna vary a bit with Cedric as a character, and wanted to do this as a new year resolution. So, I wanted to let you guys decide what bodytype will Cedric have during the whole 2018. You've seen a lot of journals filled with depression and shit, asking you guys for stuff to make me feel better or shit. I appreciate a lot and I thank you for being there for me in hard times, but for once (and I hope this time works) I would like to read the very real thing on your minds.
Feedback for an artist is vital. It helps him seeing what its going wrong, what is needed to be fixed, what is definitely bad and what are the things I'm weak at (oh and also the good things I'm at and shit). Why? I need to get things fixed by NOW in order to succeed as the artist I wanna be on the days to come.
I've seen a real decrease on my recent drawings. None of them reaching the 50 fav mark on the first week, NO comments on them and neither a helpful hand that can tell me what to do. I feel like I'm doing something wrong, or that people became tired of me. If you are, please tell me on the comments here. I need to know what's going on with my drawings being ignored or having low reception from the media. I wanna see what do I have to do to get some more recognition or presence.
If you please help me so with any bad crititque or a point that I need to fix, I would be thankful (death menaces and hate mail will be more appreciated).

Posted 8 years agoI honestly wasn't in the best mood to write something for a monthly update or whatever since I'm currently dealing with personal stuff that brought back my depression. Not that is a big of a deal, I mean, I live with depression everyday and even when I'm not showing up any signals of having it. Its problems involving my family, two problems coming up at the same time and that I honestly wanna keep to myself.
But hey, what's the point of watching a silly Wolf complaining about his problems and self esteem issues, right? Moving on, I wanna apologize for the people who helped me picking songs and bands for the Inktober list I intented to make this year. The things.. I'm not going to do Inktober this year. Mainly because with the commissions thing I wanna run until the end of the year, PLUS the stuff at college, it won't give me enough time to participate on the event and worse to develop my traditional inkings, as if I don't use it only for practices and doodles while I'm not at the laptop.
And speaking of commissions. I'm still gonna be open for them. Not that I want people to ask me to do stuff but rather tan to be still helping the people at the damages áreas of Mexico. You see, when there was an earthquake back in 1985 at the same place, the rest of September was all about help, people from other countries came to donate money, help people getting out survivors and corpses out of the destroyed buildings and stuff. But once October came, everything came back to normal and people stopped being there. There was people eating from the trash cans, sleeping near the places that used to be their homes, they even were going door to door asking for food or a place to stay. I can't do too much since I have to attend school, but at least I still wanna be there for my country, the same way I've been doing since last week. So don't hesitate to ask me for a commission and save a life or two with your donatives

Survived Another Earthquake
Posted 8 years agoGuys. Just letting you know Im fine about todays earthquake, 6.2 Ritcher and epicenter at Puebla (where I live). My house is ok, energy back an hour ago and my family is all safe. Sadly some building's roofs fell off (a mall and a few churches) and during the traffic there are a lot of burglars.
The college building barely had damages, but we are all ok. Folks who live near to me or on the same state, stay careful!

Inktober 2017
Posted 8 years agoHello ladies and gentlemen! I'm writing once again to announce a thing: I'm going to take the Inktober thing of 2017! Yay. This is the second time I try this out, last year I didn't follow a theme, list or something, I just drew anything to fulfill the task, but this year I have an idea for it: SONGS!
How does it work? Inktober consists in an artsy challenge to draw a pic per day, but it has to be done traditional and inked. And for this one, I'm going to do a drawing based on a song per day, and a different band per day.
And well... As I try to be a good person, I wanna build a list mixed with my own musical tastes and Yours! So, I'm writing this journal to make a list of 31 songs, some suggested by you guys, so I can have a list of what to work on during Inktober!
So I hope I get many responses, or enough to fill the list!

Posted 8 years agoHey guys! Cedric Browning here. I didn't have too much motivation to write an update for this month, but due to the recent events, I got obligated to write something about it.
Last night, circa 11:50 pm, over the sourthen part of Mexico, an earthquake happened. It was one of the strongest shakes in 100 centuries, with a scale of 8.2 Ritcher. Gladly, on Puebla it felt a bit strong but almost everything is ok. But the most damaged states: Oaxaca (with 23 deads) Tabasco and Chiapas (together having a total of 7 deads). They also say that the Hurricane Irma will come stronger than ever. For those who are Reading this and live near were I live, embrace yourself and always carry a jacket, hoodie or something that can protect you from the wind and rain. My friend

Moving to sorta less depressing news. My family has decided to move to another house. A good thing about this new decision is that I get to sleep and work on a bigger room of my own. Now I will, probably, be able to do more streams and work on new doodles as well. A sad part about this is that, despite the college being closer to me than in the other place I used to live in, the public transport options had been reduced to only one bus. Well, I do walk from new home to college and it takes me 30 minutes, but the fuck I will walk at the night when the class of the day ends and its dark as hell, not mentioning the security at this country and all the possibilities to get assaulted by both muglers and policemen.
Also a thing I was highly doubting about putting on a journal or not. I'm interested and looking for some feedback, that if you would be interested in taking commissions from me. I wanna see some ideas of how much a piece like X drawing will cost, if I do it on limited spots, recomendations like these for starters. I consider myself as a starter because, despite I've been drawing for 7 almost 8 years, I didn't do any commissions yet!

My family has decided to move to another house. A good thing about this new decision is that I get to sleep and work on a bigger room of my own. Now I will, probably, be able to do more streams and work on new doodles as well. A sad part about this is that, despite the college being closer to me than in the other place I used to live in, the public transport options had been reduced to only one bus. Well, I do walk from new home to college and it takes me 30 minutes, but the fuck I will walk at the night when the class of the day ends and its dark as hell, not mentioning the security at this country and all the possibilities to get assaulted by both muglers and policemen.
Also a thing I was highly doubting about putting on a journal or not. I'm interested and looking for some feedback, that if you would be interested in taking commissions from me. I wanna see some ideas of how much a piece like X drawing will cost, if I do it on limited spots, recomendations like these for starters. I consider myself as a starter because, despite I've been drawing for 7 almost 8 years, I didn't do any commissions yet!

August update - 5th semester
Posted 8 years agoSup guys. I would like to say it was a long time since I wrote a journal like I always did, but seems like I've been more active over here rather than in other media I upload stuff in.
Ok anyways, a new month has arrived (sobs) and it's time for a new update. On exactly a week, I am going to start a new College semester, but as you may know this time it's not a strict charge of subjects I need to take, in fact it's optative subjects time. This means that, apparently, I can choose the classes I am going to take this time. But guess what happened?
Yesterday my class was ment to attend the college at High Noon so we can discuss with our teachers about our schedules for the semester, the classes that we are going to have and what happens if, say, a student flunks a subject and needs to retake it. Once my classmates were there, we were said that the Advanced Animation class, the class I was the most interested in and was the main reason I wanted to go back to school, wasn't available this semester. That really pissed me off because only 3 of the optative classes we needed to take were interesting or helpful for me since I wanna major in Animation and / or Concept Art.
And then our class was forced to take obligatory 3 classes that were supposed to be optative: Script 2 (YAY), Acting for Animation (to explain what this class is about, here's a link of the acting references for one scene in Frozen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z_k2z5m6H0 ) and Integral Project (I will leave details of how do we work over here). And the other classes that we are going to take are Character Design (Fuck Yeah!), Photography (first is this one and then I will take Stop Motion!) and I am supposed to take Game Design (It has no coding, but still I do not want to get involve in anything related to game creation or anything, it left me with a bad mouth taste since last semesters), but instead I will take Project Management (this is a class for 4 semester only but I will take it since, as I flunked in Algorythms in 3rd semester, I needed to take it last semester and I was unable to also take Project Management).
Let's see that, in the time I need to register my Schedule on the system and get subscribed to the classes, I have to take the 7 classes OR get the plan I described over here. This is supposed to be the semester I finally decide what do I want to study instead of taking parts of both Animation and Videogame creation, but sadly my college is more interested in videogame stuff.
I hope this time I finally get to be better at stuff since I got NO MORE CODING TO MAKE ANYMORE! THANK FUCKING GOD! Now I can take this advantage to finally focus on what I need to do and improve on my shit.
So that would be all for this month, or for this journal. If is there any other event worth sharing with you guys, I'll let you know over here.

I wanted to post this journal so I can do more and better artwork based on your comments guys, alongside I get a better idea of what do you think: The things you like, the things that have to be solved or improved, or the things that totally have to be deleted. So I can improve as an artist, in the furry fandom and in art in general.
