With the 100 Palettes come and gone, I am open to get back to owed regular commissions and trades and whatnot, so that'll most likely what I'll be focusing on in January. I also have a couple questions for you guys:
1) If I offer up Palette Challenge-style pics as a regular commission offer, would anyone be game for these? The basic format will of course stay the same, but things like the prices (which would no longer be PWYW, though I'm uncertain how much to offer up yet - 15 perhaps?) and the ability to offer up your own palette idea (which I would provide more info/links on in terms of getting your own) would be available. I'd also allow for more NSFW content, though still within my usual limits, which you can read in my ToS in the journal below.
2) As stated, I am open to more project ideas, though I'm torn as to what yet. Adoptables? Group pics? Clothing designs? Another challenge (poses, perhaps?), themed commissions?

...and then I can focus on other art projects later! Or even, gasp, draw for myself again! (ahh, if only I could do that while still getting money, but that's an issue for another day...)

I'd love to be able to finish them all by the end of the year, even if it seems unlikely right now due to how many palletes are still left (SOMEONE GRAB THE #7 AND #9 ALREADY, AAAAAH). BUT! I can at least promise those folks who already asked for a spot months back that I WILL be going hard on these all month long, plus I will totally be doing more of these until every single number gets grabbed.

Posted 11 years ago....honestly, my real wish is to be able to afford getting a break from stressing over commissions so much and actually get stuff done. At this rate,, my wish to have the Palettes finnished by year´s end ain´t happening and money is STILL tight in some areas and blaaaah.
Honestly, my one wish? That once I am done with my backlog * palettes, I want to take a month to just draw dumb stuff for me of whatever I want. My fear is, thugh, that with no job yet for the time being, I can´t afford to take that month off from commissioned art to draw for myself again, so I dunno what to do...

So I wanna talk more commission stuff (repost)
Posted 11 years agoReposting this, even though I know a couple of you did see this, I wanted to be extra sure others do as well, so apologies for that.
Anyway, first thing's first: I will be working double-time on catching up with PWYW Palette Challenge pics to hopefully get as many done as possible before the year ends (bonus if I can finish them all!). There are still slots left, if you wanna help, by the way! Once all the slots are filled, I will officially *CLOSE* these, so grab one while you still can.
Well, uh, I'm expanding my Pokemon discounts ($15 B/W, $25 flat color, $40 shaded, add $10 for extra characters/props) to December! Also thinking of making the Create-A-Morph thing (Sample here for a B/W and here for flat color) a permanent thing, though the price may be tweaked later on once the holidays have ended. I also want to expand the offer to include regular anthros as well.

Posted 11 years agoDue to a severe case of art mojo loss having hit me at a rather inconvenient time + having a lot of distractions in RL (some fun, some less fun), I'm no longer doing a OR/AS week.
I'm doing an OR/AS month instead.
This will not only help me catch up with the promised commissions but also gives you guys the chance to get some poke-art at a reduced price which I currently doubt I'll be keeping for December, so!
So here's what I am offering:

Anyway, real talk time. I need advice.
I'm thinking it's high time I start being more cautious about how I handle commissions in general from now on, especially with the latest news that I won't get into right now (not on FA at least -- you can ask me anywhere else). I'm thinking of using my email more for exchanging information like paypal addresses and the like, saving notes (which are only active on my kompy account) for lesser details. I might also start posting more content on other sites besides this one, though it'll take a significant amount of time and I'll probably not really start doing that until this week is over.
I'm not closing this account or deleting any images, but I am debating what I should post here from now on, if that makes sense. Commissions asked for by people here on FA will definitely get stuff posted here (as well as my other accounts, when appropriate), though I'm not sure what to do regarding things that don't fall in that spectrum. It's something I'm going to really give some thought into.
Also, for those that missed my last post, let me link you guys real quick to all the non-chat places I'm going to be more active in for now on, though I'll still be here for the time being:

It's just an idea to spread out beyond my usual haunts, you see. I mean I'm still on Deviantart, Weazyl and Pixiv, and I've no plans to leave here yet, but just...for curiosity's sake, you know? In case FA ever becomes too unsafe to do business in, that is.
For now though, this commission offer is still going, though if you guys have any suggestions for making safer info transactions besides notes (I'm thinking of making a new email account just for commission stuff), feel free to let me know.

Ahh, I believe my Ability is Aroma Veil. Hmmm, yes. My older sister, Chanel. She is an Aromatisse. She works in the fashion industry creating the fabrics needed to make fine outfits. She was the one who inspired me to follow my nose, as it were. You see, us Spritzee are very attuned to lovely scents to the point of obsession at times, with each scent of choice varying from individual to individual. Chanel enjoys the scent of a brand new fabric. My brother, Derby, who is a Slurpuff, 'e is more old-fashioned and enjoys freshly-cut flowers, which is why he is a florist. Well, where I am from, "Jicky" is a very old, very popular name among my species. Samsara I know to be a very, very old last name, as my family has been living in Kalos for many generations.

Single and happy. Not that I object to having someone special to share my love to, but I am in no hurry. I am still young, after all!
4. Have any abilities or powers?
Ahh, I believe my Ability is Aroma Veil. My powers are few, for I do not consider myself much of a fighter, but they are your typical Spritzee moves: Sweet Scent, Fairy Wind, Aromatherapy, Odor Sleuth...Though I do take a few weekends off on occasion to practice my Moonblast and Disarming Voice for self-defense purposes.

Impolite people demanding service from me, especially when I am at my most busy. I am a living being, not a slave to anyone. I do my very best to treat everyone that comes through my cafe's doors with respect, is it not too much to ask to have the favor returned?

Besides making and tasting new coffee blends in all its forms? Hmm, well I've not had much time as of late, but I do enjoy scrapbooking, mostly of my family or big events that happen in my neighborhood.

Oh, I probably have, but it is not very healthy to dwell on every little thing unless it was a truly terrible, unforgivable crime. And even then, there comes a point in time one must learn to forgive and forget. That is what I believe, at least.

Sometimes I have to be careful to not binge on the very product I love so dearly. I know very well of coffee's more famous side-attacks and I do not deny having had a few sleepless nights because of overdoing it with the "tasting", but I AM trying to be more cautious about that!

Hmmm, yes. My older sister, Chanel. She is an Aromatisse. She works in the fashion industry creating the fabrics needed to make fine outfits. She was the one who inspired me to follow my nose, as it were. You see, us Spritzee are very attuned to lovely scents to the point of obsession at times, with each scent of choice varying from individual to individual. Ok, so.
For those that don't know, I got my two lower wisdom teeth removed last Wednesday (Oct. 28th) and am still healing from that. One of my place-that-used-to-house-a-wisdom-tooth still feels really sore, so even though I can usually calm it down with my ice pack and the meds I take every 6+ hours, it's still annoying to deal with and, needless to say, it makes for a lousy art mood. Now I'll TRY to draw as much as I can in the meantime, I'm not ready to dive into commissions just yet until this is fully healed, so bear with me.
Also once it's healed, I really really wanna stream, so keep an eye on that. I also wanna try streaming either before, during or after November 21st for two reasons: One, that's the release date for Pokemon OR/AS (I pre-ordered Omega Ruby, in case you ask) and two, that's also my 33rd birthday. Since I dunno what my family has planned for me on that day proper, if anything, I can't guarantee a stream then, but I'll try for the 20th or 22nd. This is of course assuming the mouth pain doesn't last until then, which it hopefully shouldn't.
So yeah, sorry for the delay, folks, but I'll try to make it up to you, somehow.
Before I leave, though, a strange question: What do you think I draw better, male characters or female characters?
(While I have plenty of characters that physically skirt the gender spectrum for whatever reason, I still need to exponentially increase my "other"/non-binary character count before I can add the question of whether I draw them well or not, but do consider that fact duly noted. And, yes, I actually DO have some more ideas of characters like that, but it'll be a bit before I can focus on drawing new characters of any sort, so...)

So for those that don't know, I go in for surgery tomorrow to get two of my wisdom teeth removed. Dunno how I'll be after that, so I'm not doing any art for the rest of this week, at least, until I am capable again.
