I'm out. Sorry to those who have waited this long
Posted 10 months agoSimply put, I'm walking away from the car scene for the foreseeable future. A chance of a return is extremely minimal.
[Why?]
Personal interest has waned. There's little for me regarding it these days and my artist pursuits are leaning elsewhere. (No, I won't be sharing what those are or where to find them, sorry.)
[What now?]
I'll keep this account up and not private, because I know that some people like my stuff and would be saddened to see it go. I don't lose much keeping them visible. I lose more by keeping myself hopeful for a return.
[Any chance you'll come back?]
Who knows. Nothing is ever 100% certain. However, I am choosing to close the door behind me so that the question in my mind of "should I try making a car/living machine related picture next" will stop coming up and my focus can go elsewhere guilt free. Leaving the 'what-if' open in my mind weighed me down too much to leave it any longer.
[Thank you]
Fun was had and nice people were met. I extend my thanks to those who made me feel welcome and comfortable in this small fandom. While it wasn't always good, I at least came out of it with some nice memories and new experiences under my belt. Sorry if this post is really sad sounding, I just don't know how else to say goodbye at the moment.
Thanks for sticking around and enjoying my stuff! I'm glad that a small group of people were happy to see it and were happy to have me here. I'll continue to cherish that.
Have fun out there everyone!

Nearly a year later
Posted a year agoIt's probably about time I said something, huh?
Hey all. I'm alive.
It's been almost a year later with no content, and 9 months since my last journal. I felt it was maybe time I explained what's been going on in my world and why the content well has dried up completely.
[Life]
Last year I quit my job, thinking that doing so would have alleviated my issues of a lack of energy. While it did to a degree, and I expected to be in recovery mode for awhile, what I didn't expect was some life direction altering stuff. With some deep conversations with my doctor, therapist, and family, we all came to the conclusion that my ability to work a normal job like everyone else and support myself on my own strength was highly unlikely, and that continuing down the direction I have grown up knowing, and tried to power through all my life, is completely off the table. For the sake of my well being, we needed to pivot away to something else, cause what we've been trying the past decade or more has not been working, and this time it got really bad.
Then the question becomes... what the hell am I supposed to do? I'm still struggling with that part, and almost a year after quitting my job, my anxiety of getting back into a job in any capacity is higher than ever. It was no career or anything, but I at least thought I could handle a regular job. I'm having to come to terms with the fact I have to essentially start over and relearn a lot of what I've known for a large portion of my life...
So, that's been occupying a large part of my mental space during the time I've been away.
[Community]
In the meantime, and while I was still active, I tried connecting with some people here either through notes or through some Discord channels focused on car/tire stuff. Unfortunately, things weren't as enjoyable as I'd wanted. I had a hard time connecting to anyone. What few people I talked to I felt either disconnected from the conversation, or I simply wasn't able to have the kind of experience I'd hoped for. With a community that is so small, with a limited pool of content out there to enjoy... I started feeling isolated.
To make matters worse, I had a couple of experiences/realizations that put me off things overall. I won't be going into detail about what they were. If you feel you have to ask if it was your fault, it very likely wasn't.
All together... with my life being almost completely turned around, on top of feeling desensitized with the community... it really hasn't done anything good for my motivation. I'll get in the mood for maybe a day or two at most, the mood will pass, and it'll be gone for weeks or months on end. Whenever I try to capitalize on the brief moods I do manage to have, I end up just wanting to cycle through the content I've seen a dozen times already, let the mood dip, then move on to something that I am enjoying more with friends I can share it all with.
It's extremely unfortunate too because I have over 50 people Watching me on here, and over 300 favourites by many people since I started, and that tells me that my content is liked and wanted. The problem is getting past my own mental roadblocks.
[What's next?]
Honestly... it's just going to keep going like this until a spark happens and I feel motivated to make something. I want to make more content for you folks, I know I do deep inside. I'm just not sure when it's going to happen. I sincerely hope that you'll all stick around for when it eventually comes out. The fact I still have people out there that like my stuff is probably the only reason I haven't deactivated my account and moved on completely.
For that I can only say... thanks

Posted 2 years agoStuff is coming eventually, I promise... Everything's just been a little complicated recently.
Until further notice any new content will be on a "when I feel like it" basis.
Thanks for sticking with me, folks, I really mean it ♥︎

I've quit my job!
Posted 2 years agoYup, the thing that's been affecting my mood the most over the past year (but more heavily felt in the past 6 months) is gonna be gone from my life in the next 3-4 weeks. This means I'll have both more time, and most importantly, more energy to do art stuff! My output was at its highest when I wasn't having to worry about work so much, and so I'm hoping I'll be able to get back into that mindset. I don't plan on going back to work for awhile either, cause boy do I need some time to do other things and sort stuff out.
In the meantime, that means I won't have any income. Sooooooo, I wanted to at least pose the possibility of me taking commissions.
I'm still considering the details of this, but in terms of what I'd offer... I'd do what I know how to do. Real life pic to digital art conversions, like how I've done for most of the characters under Celestial's banner. This means you provide a pic of a car you want (either a random one, or one of your own) with the camera position you desire, send it to me, and then I can digitize it to look like something out of our catalogue. I could make some minor adjustments and add shading as well for an extra cost.
However, I would not likely be able to free hand a design like with an original character drawn by someone else. It's been pretty tough drawing Celeste as is because of the free-handing, and I'm not confident I'd be able to make it look good for someone else, much less being paid to do so.
Anyways, that's what I'm considering at the moment! Please tell me what you think down below, and let me know if there's any interest in commissions like this! As always, thanks for tuning into my stuff here ^^ I'm happy to have ya!

Update and future plans
Posted 3 years agoHey all! Been a hot minute since I've posted anything, so I thought I'd give an update.
The break I've had has been good for me overall. Had some time to relax, discover a few things around me and about myself, sort out some issues that needed addressing, that kind of stuff. The itch to start doing more art is coming back to me, so I potentially will have a thing to upload at the end of the year. If not, I plan on picking things up here early in the new year! I likely will experiment with shading a little more as well, but due to the large amount of extra work that comes from it I likely won't be making every new drawing be shaded.
As for what's coming down the assembly line... Definitely some more pics of Celeste, Hepatica, and Edea, and maybe some more pixel art and stories to add some world building for Celestial as a whole. If the mood strikes, I'll do a few more new additions to flesh out Celestial A.I.'s vehicle list too. There are also plans being put together for a new custom vehicle under the Celestial make, so look forward to that some time in 2023! He/She will be a bit more modern compared to our toony and bouncy little Celeste!
That about sums it up. Thank you for your patience and for sticking around during my little hiatus, and I hope you look forward to what's coming in the future~

Slight delay on my next piece (Updated 12-09-2022)
Posted 3 years agoHey all, no new art this Sunday, and likely for the next few days. The past few weeks have been busy and somewhat stressful, so I haven't made much progress. However, I do hope you look forward to it, because it's gonna be special and new for me! I'm quite excited to see what everyone will think of the finished product.
But what will it be? You'll just have to wait and find out~
Updated 12-08-2022 Update: Life's not being very nice to me these past few weeks, I massively apologize for the delay. Please bear with me as I try and get things sorted out so I can start concentrating on things here again.
Updated 12-09-2022 Update 2: Mental health is a real bugger... My apologies for further delays. Stay tuned, I'll come back to things here in time. Always checking back though, so feel free to reach out

Update on post frequency
Posted 3 years agoHey all! Wanted to give a quick update on my posting frequency here on FA.
I started CelestialAI when I did not have a job, so I had tons of free time to work on stuff here. But once I got a job and started up my D&D group again, things got busy. I've steadily been adjusting to both, but as is typical when I add a work schedule to my life, my free time is often spent doing other stuff I haven't had a chance to do cause of work. I quite enjoy making art here, but I admit it's a bit of a side hobby right now more than anything, so some other things get priority.
This does not mean I will stop posting here, however! I'm quite loving doing these pics and have tons of ideas for the future. However, it is likely you'll be seeing a post maybe once every 2 weeks or so going forward. If the mood strikes I might post more than this, and this could just be me being conservative on the estimated post frequency so I don't disappoint anyone. But I'd rather temper expectations and surprise everyone with more content, rather than have people expect more content and fail to meet expectations.
I'm looking forward to doing more pics for you all to enjoy, and thank you to all my watchers and future viewers for showing interest in my content ♥︎

Addressing the question of "Do I RP?" and my solution
Posted 3 years agoI've gotten this question a fair bit since I started things here, and I felt I should make a more public comment and answer some questions regarding it.
"Do you RP?" I do, but not on here.
"Do you have *insert chat client/social media*?" Yes, but I don't share that stuff.
"Do you want to RP?" I don't know. Part of me wants to, but part of me also feels a bit odd about it. FA isn't my typical spot for meeting folk, and note based RP isn't my forte either. But given the above, that'd be my only option.
However, I do know I have interest in at least acting some of this stuff out, as well as giving people who comment something fun they might enjoy... so I'm making a middle ground option.
If you make a comment asking/suggesting something regarding one of the characters in a post I make, I'll likely either answer ICly or OOCly intermittently. Buuuut, if you specifically start your comment with [For *insert character*] (as an example, [For Hepatica], in brackets as you see here) then I will answer you ICly and maybe even throw in a little bit of RP stuff to suit the comment! Your comment may be IC or OOC this way, and they will still be answered ICly if asked with the provided format. Asterisk posts work too if that's easier for you, I'll likely respond to those ICly going forward.
I won't do a full scene this way, and my posts will stay light in size as to not flood the comments with text (And I ask you keep the comments reasonable in size and frequency for the same reason) but I feel this might be a nice way to meet in the middle with folk here while I continue to get comfortable and get used to things.
If you have any questions, feel free to post on this journal or note me! (Though I won't do IC posts in this journal, those will be reserved for comments in my uploads)

Update! (And possible commissions?)
Posted 3 years agoFirst of all, thanks again to everyone and your support~ I started this whole thing since I wanted to make my own living vehicle and get the associated art along with it, but due to not having a job, I couldn't afford to commission any. It's not often I create the solution to the problem of demand myself, but, it turned out great and it's been fun doing more than my initial idea I set out to create!
Some extra good news is that I finally have a job IRL, and can start making some much needed income. It will have a slight impact on my drawings here, and my output may slow down to 1-2 pieces a week or so, depending on the mood. However, I have some more vehicles that I plan to add to my list, on top of a few extra ideas I'm thinking of putting together as well (Like experimenting with shading and extra detail).
One thing I wanted to know from those of you who view my art... what sort of stuff would you like to see from me? Feel free to comment your ideas! Also, I wanted to put the nugget out there and see if there would be any interest in me doing commissions. As I cannot freehand still, it'd be my usual way of digitizing a real world picture. But if you have a car you like (or even own!) that you'd like to give the Celestial A.I. treatment, let me know you're interested in the comments! If the interest is there, I might open that up.
Thanks again for enjoying my work so far, and I look forward to making more~

What I'm doing next
Posted 3 years agoHey all! After taking a bit of time to relax after cranking out submissions, I'm gonna start gearing up for more ideas and characters outside of my main girl, Hepatica. I won't spoil all of the surprises of exactly who or what they'll be, but, I hope you all are looking forward to seeing more~
As a little hint for what model is gonna be next... I wonder who can guess what car it's gonna be based on this image? Look forward to seeing them next week!

Posted 3 years agoThanks everyone for all the comments and support for me starting out~ I've got one more special thing with Hepatica on the horizon for tomorrow, and then I'll start working on some new characters. Feel free to let me know what sort of stuff you want to see and I can potentially put it on the pipeline as well! Once I practice some more, I'll hopefully be able to make more unique art pieces down the line. Questions are also always open on my uploads and notes~
Thanks again! Looking forward to making some more stuff!
