Posted 12 years agoSorry about the art delay, I have a lot going on in my personal life right now. I've been working both night and day shifts at my job as they promoted me. this is good because I reeallly need the money to move in a few months and also for my wedding and other things planned this year. I've been dealing with a lot of other issues as well so unfortunately art is not a huge priority right now. I am still working on the pieces I owe and hopefully within the next couple weeks I'll have everything finished and will be able to open another YCH auction and possibly some other commissions.
Also, cons this year will be very minimal. I'll be attending Elliot's spring gathering, MFF, and hopefully EF (if everything goes right).

Posted 12 years agoHello all, I'm pretty sick and having trouble staying at work for an entire shift so I've been being sent home early. this gives me more time to relax and draw! I'm working on a few things at the moment but I was wanting to do another YCH auction soon. I was so surprised and happy with the result of this last one so this time I wanted to ask my watchers what you'd like to see!

restoring my faith
Posted 12 years agoA year ago I was having a terrible day at work, guests were bad and mean and weren't tipping well and I was alone and couldn't do my side work or take a break to even eat a snack. I was falling apart and wanted to cry. The restaurant was a mess. At that moment a Welsh priest and wife came to have lunch. They were so sweet and loving and caring and showed the uttermost patience and understanding. We got to talking and talked for quite some time about all sorts of things. He eventually got up, hugged me, kissed me on the cheek and told me how they will always come to America because the people here are so loving and unified and beautiful. I teared up and eventually we parted ways. That day he single handedly restored my faith in humanity and taught me that there will always be good people amoungst all the bad. Today that same man walked into my restaurant and we immediately smiled and remembered each other. I ran over and we spoke for quite some time. I told him I was getting married and he was so happy he hugged me tight and continued to tell me how beautiful I was. We exchanged emails and took a few photos to stay in touch. As he parted he put something in my hand, told me it was his first wedding gift to me and to not say a word. He left promising to return in a year. After he left I opened my hand to find $60. I almost cried but kept it together and I've been smiling ever since. I figured I'd share this because remember no matter how hard your day is there are always people who care about you and can make you smile, even if they're a quirky, charming priest in a restaurant that lives half way across the world.

The new year
Posted 12 years agoSo I have a lot of plans for 2013, hopefully I'll be able to go through with a lot of them! 2012 was for the most part very shitty, went though a lot of rough times and learned a lot about myself in the process. I've changed but it's not for the worse, I'm becoming more of a woman. I had a blast last night bringing in the new year by getting completely wasted with friends at a party. I always love being surrounded by people I care about, that's all I want in life really, that and to spend my life educating people about and protecting marine life.

Mff 2012 and engagement
Posted 13 years agoSo Mff did it again, what a truly amazing con! I had so much fun and loved seeing all of my dear Friends. I am so happy to call MFF my home con and I will always continue to go back! I got to spend a lot of time with some very special people, suited in my brand new Fursuit that everyone told me they loved, had an amazing art show that I sold everything but 2 pieces (highest piece went for $80), danced and partied my ass off, and something even more amazing happened Saturday night...
My loving
took me, Lucky, Kanu, and Chorca to downtown Chicago, my home town, so I could show them some of my favorite places and sites. And then there, under the Chicago cloud gate (the bean) he got down on one knee and proposed to me. It was the most amazing and heart felt thing I've ever experienced in my life and Im so extremely happy to be his fiance. My friends were there to witness this most amazing event and were able to capture pictues as well! I cannot think of a more romantic way he could have done it! It was so perfect and I cried like a baby lol. It was so great to rush back to the hotel and have some drinks to celebrate! Especially surrounded by my friends! Thanks again to everyone who came up to say congrats and give us a hug, and to those of you who got us a drink as well!
This does mean that I will be cancelling a few of my planned trips next year including FWA and my trip to Washington. But I couldnt be happier!! My next con will most likely be eurofurence followed by MFF!
I'm so excited and eager to see what this coming year brings and cannot wait to start this new chapter in my life. :)!

Posted 13 years agoJust letting everyone know I'm still alive!! Life has been insane lately! I got sick and then I got hives and I've been working a lot and got back from vacation recently and am starting school soon and life is just crashing down on me! I am still working on everyone's art! I'm working on everyone's images at the same time so it's fair to everyone! After I finish what I owe I will be starting on my pieces for the MFF art show. Also I recently got a new tablet so after art show pieces and what I owe I will be working on primarily digital art for a little. I'm pretty burned out on traditional art I wont lie, plus I want to continue to brush up my digital skills!

Home from the west coast! Photos inside!
Posted 13 years agoA few days ago I got back from my trip out to the west coast! I stayed in Phoenix with and we had such a blast! We also went to California (LA and San Diego area), and also the grand canyon! This was probably the best vacation I've ever had and I miss them so much! :( I am determined to move out west some day, it's all so perfect for me <3.

Posted 13 years agoSadly I will not be attending AC this year :(. I'm super bummed as its a con that I hate to miss but it just wasn't worth the money this year since so many of my friends aren't going. I also have a big trip planned next month, I'll be going to Arizona and California and I'm so excited! My next con will be MFF! I hope to see everyone there! :D
