Hey all! This is your advance warning that I'll be making some changes to my commission prices / types soon. I'm still working out where exactly I want to go with my guidelines, but one thing is for sure: The "sketch" commissions will be getting a lot..Sketchier. Right now the examples- And finished pieces- Are looking more like lined pieces than true sketches, so that needs to change. The color may also be going away. If you want to take advantage of the "sketch" commissions as they're being offered now, place an order soon- All orders placed after the updated price sheet goes up will follow the new guidelines!

Furthermore, I've given a few price quotes that haven't led to full orders yet- If I have given you a quote based on my current prices, and you would like to order your piece for that price, please get in touch with me in the next few days. If I don't hear from you before my new prices go into effect, the old quote will expire and your piece will be subject to my new rates.

In the interest of that and of celebrating Halloween, I want to do something a little different- Right now I'm thinking some kind of adopt raffle/contest. I've always thought "egg adopts" were cool, ever since my baby days on Wajas, so I'll probably post a couple of "eggs" in the next few days. Right now I'm looking at doing one basic raffle, comment to enter, and maybe another egg for somethin spookier. So an entry would constitute a link to a "creepypasta" or other TEXT-ONLY spooky material and at the end of the contest the design would go to whoever sent in the best piece. *u* So keep an eye out for that, and if you want to send in a spooky piece for the contest, maybe start pickin somethin out.

I've never been super into DeviantArt because it seems like it's really hard to get exposure, but I'm giving it a try, so I would appreciate any support you want to give! <3

When I get home this evening I'm going to throw up some info n examples for a sort of 'event' I want to do this weekend that basically amounts to taking some cheap commissions and finishing them as fast as I possibly can over the next two days. :o Right now the plan is $15 thighs-up lined flatcolors and $23 thighs-up cel shaded image. Anthro, humanoid, or feral- but I'll knock $1 off the flatcolors and $2 off the cel shaded pieces for humanoid characters because that's kind of what I'm in the mood for lately. And! if you refer someone and they give me your username before your pieces are done I'll knock two dollars off both your pieces so you could potentially get a $12 drawing and that's cool.

Again, I'm putting the official notice(s) up later, but I thought I'd let my FA babies know first because you guys are great and if you want to claim a piece in the comments of this journal I'll bump you to the top of the queue when I get goin.

I've been working on a portrait all day but I really dont want to upload the umpteen millionth portrait in a row to my tumblr without somethin to break em up so comment with a reference of a humanoid or feral character and we'll see what happens (no anthro this time!)

I'd be looking for some drawings of my badger Hale, Parfait the wolf (featured in my icon right now!), or some human(oid) characters probably. Would anyone be up for it? I might be kind of picky because I can get particular about styles and s u c h ...

*n* I'm having an issue with resizing my images to upload. Every time I shrink something down, it gets a little bit..Grainy, I guess? It's not super apparent, but it's obvious when you compare the shrunken image to the clear fullsized one, and it's drivin me nuts. It seems like the more I shrink, the worse it gets. I've been using Photoshop because the resizing tools are better than the ones in Manga Studio, but, with this happening, maybe they're not..?

I'd appreciate any help I can get!

Have you ever realized that you're watching two artists who do almost identical work? @_@ I actually went back to the submissions page because I thought, 'wow, I thought X did their feet differently on these pieces..' and, lo and behold, it was a different artist selling almost exactly the same type of piece, style and all! Just..not quite as good. Similar enough, tho, in EVERYTHING that I assumed it to be from their set of stuff until I noticed the feet didn't look as nice. I think artist Y might be ripping artist X off.. They even have X's stuff in their favorites. @_@; I don't want to say anything because there may be stuff goin on I'm not privy to, and I don't wanna deal with it because it's not my issue orz;. But it's really apparent and really frustrating!

Congratulations to  lindseysnowsprinkles, and the lucky referrer,  solara-jada! Two double wins in a row! Part of me says, 'what are the chances'- But another part saw :iconsolara-jada's: name in there enough time to suspect they might be a winner. ;D

I saw that solara-jada was here on a referral, too, but the bonus win does not and will not "stack"- IE, there can only ever be one bonus winner! I thought about specifying in the rules, but I didn't think it was likely to happen. It seems it can, and has! However, allowing 'stacked' bonus wins could very easily launch me into a chain of pieces way too long for me to handle, so I'm sure you understand. ;D
