The holidays can be tough for everyone, but are immeasurably difficult for those who have lost the support of their families and friends due to who they are and who they love. That's why we're hosting an auction and donating 75% off the proceeds to the Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization (BRAVO for short)!
BRAVO is an organization that one of our members not only interned at, but later became a board member of. They're a non-profit orginzation based out of Columbus, Ohio that provides community resources and programs for LGBTQ survivors of hate violence, discrimination, sexual assault, stalking, and domestic violence. A number of their services include:
-support groups
-education and community outreach
-self defense programs
-violence documentation for hate crimes, domestic violence, stalking, etc.
-LGBTQ safety regarding housing, work, or school
-survivor advocacy in hospitals and courtooms

Posted 8 years agoWe have several new designs as well as some old ones we're bringing back with a sale! 10% off of these new pre-designed fullsuit commission slots, 15% off of old ones from midnight 11/26/2017 to midnight 11/27/2017 PST. After Cyber Monday they'll be back down to 5% and 10% off respectively, so this is your only chance for the discount! We will base when we receive emails around PST.
First come first served, no holds. This mean the person who pays the downpayment first[ seals the slot.These prices are fixed and this is not an auction. By purchasing one of these, you're getting a commission slot for a fullsuit made by us and will be put at the end of our current queue. "Lace" the bat is the only partial available and the other designs cannot be made into partials. We will not sell the designs themselves, you must get the fullsuit. Our earliest slot available is January 2019, so after the downpayment there is a long time to pay it off! We will do payment plans, not including the downpayment.

We will only be open for adoptable fursuit slots , meaning we have six designs available that people can choose from and have made into a suit. No pieces have been pre-made ; only the design is pre-existing and all pieces will be made to the buyer's specifications to fit them.
We are not taking 100% custom commission slots (where you come to us with your own design) for the Cyber Monday sale and do not yet know the next time we'll be open for them.
That isn't to say we won't be open for them ever again! The reason for this is because we are currently trying to shorten our queue, but would really like the opportunity to make these designs into suits! We will open again for custom commissions in the future, and we are always open for quotes on customs.

Cyber Monday Suit Slot Flash Sale!
Posted 8 years agoWe’ve decided we’re going to open for 6 potential fursuit slots as a Cyber Monday sale. New and old designs of characters that you can buy and get made into a fursuit! They are 10% off commission price for new designs and 15% off for previously seen designs. After CM they will go down to 5% and 10% off respectively. If you want the big discount, check them out on the 27th!
All designs, info, and prices are available on our Patreon at just the $1 tier, and are available to be claimed RIGHT NOW at $30+! These will be live for the public Sunday at midnight PST and will end Monday at midnight. We will base when we receive emails around PST, and require a 30% downpayment within 24hrs of receiving your email about a design.
We don’t know when we will be open again for custom designs, but anticipate being closed for them for quite some time. If you’re interested in our work we recommend checking out the sale!

Anthro Northwest Attendance!

Thomasin (Goat Fullsuit) Future Auction details!
Posted 8 years agoHey, folks! Due to the wonderfully overwhelming reception to Thomasin, we're going to be listing a few details of her future auction. People have been very interested and we've gotten several comments, messages, and emails about it, so this should cover all the information needed.
-She will be gently used since she will be used for a photoshoots and worn to a few conventions, but she will be washed and thoroughly checked for any necessary touch ups or repairs. We're going to make her as close to new as possible for the potential buyer!
-Her auction will start February 1st and run over TFF weekend. (That's February 8-11, 2018!)
-The starting price will be $2500. That's cheaper than our base price for suits, which is $2600, and as a commission Thomasin would be worth $3100! We're letting you know this far in advance since people expressed interest in saving up!
-There will be a buy out price for Patreon subscribers. Our $30+ Patrons get early access to all of our auctions and commission slots, so if you just want to grab her be sure to check that out! We will not make this buyout price public knowledge before the auction goes live - you have to be a Patreon subscriber to get the information early.
-We will not be accepting payment plans on this auction. We’re letting everyone have lots of warning so they have a chance to save up, and the full amount will be due within two weeks of the auction ending with 30% being due within 24 hours.
-Payment will be taken through Square. You do not need a Square account to pay, just a working debit/credit card.
-MEASUREMENTS: She is built off of a dummy that's 5'6", 140lbs, on a slim build (exact measurements are 39-33-39). Her head is built off a heavily modified DVC base and the measurements are 23" for facial circumference and 22" around the temples. Feet are 9 1/2 US Women's shoe size. We would not suggest anyone any taller than 5'6" or shorter than 5'2". At 5'0" the suit would be a little bit baggy. Due to the complexity of the suit we will not make any alterations.
-If she is not sold, she will NOT be relisted. She will be kept by us as a CFStudios suit! This will be your only opportunity to buy her.
Thank you for being so interested in her! She was a joy to make and we’re so happy people seem to like the suit as much as we do, and we hope whatever future home she ends up in will treat her well.

-MEASUREMENTS: She is built off of a dummy that's 5'6", 140lbs, on a slim build (exact measurements are 39-33-39). Her head is built off a heavily modified DVC base and the measurements are 23" for facial circumference and 22" around the temples. Feet are 9 1/2 US Women's shoe size. We would not suggest anyone any taller than 5'6" or shorter than 5'2". At 5'0" the suit would be a little bit baggy. Due to the complexity of the suit we will not make any alterations.
-If she is not sold, she will NOT be relisted. She will be kept by us as a CFStudios suit! This will be your only opportunity to buy her.

Posted 8 years agoWe really appreciate everyone's patience and kindness in boosting - what we know can become repetitive - our commission opening posts. Unfortunately, we have had several people apply for a slot and then back out or simply not respond. Due to this we have been unable to fill our final slots, and will be open for commissions indefinitely until we can fill them.
Please only apply for a slot if you’re serious about commissioning us.
We wanted to clarify a few things and make some requests before we get any more applicants. Please keep in mind that we are a business; this isn’t what we do for fun, it’s what we do for a living. If you just want a quote or are curious about costume aspects, etc you aren’t doing any harm, but we ask you not to apply for a slot if you don’t actually want one or aren’t prepared for one.
The number of people who have applied for slots, were selected for commissions, and then dropped out or just didn’t respond is high enough that we’re considering barring people from future commissions for doing this. This has never happened to us before this commission opening, so while we aren’t sure where this misunderstanding came from, we need it to stop. We are not hobbyists, we are full-time costume artists. These commissions are how we eat and pay rent, so when someone commits to a slot and then disappears, it can seriously set us back and shows that the person is unreliable enough that they would not be a good client.
On that note, please make sure you read all of the text on our forms. We have a lot of resources available on our website that people seem to not be using - there’s a quote form if you only want to know how much a project will cost without committing to it, a general price guide to see where our prices start, and a FAQ page, on top of our publicly available queue and TOS. We’ve had a lot of people use the wrong form or submit a form that was obviously skimmed. If we can’t trust you to read a simple form, we can’t trust you to read a contract or be a responsible client.
Finally, if something comes up, just tell us. We’re actually very understanding and are willing to make exceptions if you keep up good communication. When someone goes silent on us it implies they’re hiding or avoiding and carries an air of not being trustworthy.
We love our job and have adored almost every single one of the custom-order clients we’ve ever gotten. We just need this new batch to meet us halfway and take responsibility for their commitments so we can continue to move forward as a business.

This is a pretty long post, but it contains some important information about our upcoming commission opening, how we will be handling slots, and how we will be handling slots in the future. If you are interested in getting a slot or just curious, we ask that you please read the following information carefully!
First and foremost, we are going to be opening early! We had some customers drop slots, and to make up for the loss of revenue we will be opening a bit sooner than expected. As we’ve been in the business longer, we’ve noticed that, the longer people’s wait times in the queue are, the less likely they are to be able to pay when their payment is due. We always thought longer wait times would allow people to save, but it seems like people have a harder time saving the longer they have to wait!
Because of this, we want to change the way we take commissions. We hope to open for fewer slots at a time, probably three to five, and open four times a year. That way we will not only have shorter queue times, but it will help our work remain consistent from the time something is commissioned to the time it’s made – artists are constantly improving! It will also ensure that those who approach us for commissions are able to afford them, and won’t be financially stretched when their payments are due.
Unfortunately we won’t be able to enact these short wait times for this commission opening – our earliest available completion slots are starting next summer! But this is something we want to implement in the future. For now, we will stick to taking a small number of slots per opening until we can whittle away at our (currently) long queue and reach an equilibrium with the shorter wait times we want.
So, how this affects you for this opening: we will be taking five large project slots between now and October 6th. Plushies, bandannas, single item orders (paws, tails, etc) and other small accessories do not count as large orders and will remain open indefinitely.
• Slots will be accepted in brackets. The first bracket is for Patrons only, and accepts applications from September 13th – 19th with applicants being contacted with their slot status on the 20th. If any slots remain after the Patreon bracket, the second bracket (open to the public) will run from September 21st-28th with the contact day on the 29th. If any slots still remain, the third and final bracket will run from September 30th-October 6th with the contact day on the 7th. If slots still remain after all three brackets have run, our slots will remain open indefinitely until all five are filled.
• Patreon subscribers get first dibs! If you are subscribed to our Patreon at the $30+ level you get early access to our commission application form. Patrons are pretty much first come first served, unlike our other applicants who will be chosen based on our interest level.
• Our general / public applicants (non-Patrons) will be chosen based on our personal interest in the project, the commissioner’s reputation (if any,) response times, and payment availability.
• You will have until your bracket’s contact day to make your downpayment. If your slot is chosen, we will contact you on your bracket’s contact day to inform you of the selection. In order to claim your slot, you must make your 30% downpayment within 24 hours of being notified or your slot will be forfeit. Please be ready to make at least your downpayment if you contact us about a commission!
• You will be contacted during your bracket’s contact day whether you got a slot or not, to help assure you that we saw your submission and it didn’t get lost or eaten. That being said, if it’s the day after your bracket’s contact day and you still haven’t heard back regarding the application you submitted, please feel free to reach out to us!

Ideally we’d like to stick with the “fewer slots, shorter turnaround” model (once we get there, of course) but are hoping we will be able to give people more of an opportunity to pay in the future. We just need money coming in to make up for the lost revenue, so this time the payment windows will be a little stricter.

Ending Streams
Posted 8 years agoWe're sorry to announce we're going to be ceasing our streams. Unfortunately they've become a bit of a hindrance to our work flow and we don't feel they're mutually beneficial. We aren't making an effort to be entertaining or giving tutorials, we're just two people at work. Imagine if you were at your job going about your day, trying to get things done, but all of these people were watching and waiting for you to entertain them! Not only is it a bit nervewracking, to say the least, it can't be that interesting for the audience.
We gave it a good shot these past few months, but feel it's not the best fit for CFStudios. There will be streams every Wednesday from 12:00 - 4:00 PT for the remainder of this month, but after that there will not be any more regularly scheduled streams.
Every once in a while we may have a spontaneous stream if we have an announcement, something interesting to show, or we just feel like it. We understand there may not be a good turnout for these since they're going to be rare and irregular, but we do like interacting with all of you and deeply apologize to our regulars that we've grown to enjoy talking to.
