Reducing my FA presence from now on; here's where to find me
Posted 10 years agoHey there, folks! Confession time: I don't think FA is a very good website. In fact, just about the only thing it has going for it is the amount of people that visit it! The most recent debacle isn't a big deal for me, but it IS the latest in a long list of ways the site's been mismanaged. Since I prefer not to let bad websites benefit from my work, I figure now's as good a time as any to dramatically reduce my FA presence (as in, the amount of pieces I upload in the future) so I can focus my efforts elsewhere.
Weasyl - Sketchblog - Patreon - SFW Finished-Art-Only Tumblr
The Weasyl account houses all finished pieces, worksafe and otherwise; the sketchblog and Patreon will get ALL my art. In fact, I recommend those options over anything else, since I don't like generating Weasyl notifications with just sketches! And if I release anything big (like the comics I have planned), I'll be sure to announce it here so y'all will be kept in the loop.
I also have non-creativity-focused accounts: a Twitter and SFW/NSFW tumblrs.
If you prefer not to follow me anywhere else, I completely understand; this is a move I'm taking entirely on principle. Thanks for watching me so far, and I hope to see you on the other side! <3

I've been relatively dormant art-wise because...
Posted 10 years ago...Earlier this month, I encountered a medical bureaucracy issue that temporarily prevented me from getting my hormones. The issue has since been resolved, but it put me in a depression that I've been busy trying to pull myself out of.
This is why my Patreon doesn't use the standard monthly interface, by the way! I do only charge once per month, but only on months when I've put out a decent amount of content (~10 pieces or so, depending on whether the pieces are more complex than usual or not). I've chosen not to charge my patrons once already, and I plan to do it again this month as well!
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be back up to speed soon enough. Thanks, as always, for following! <3

ASDR is COMIN' UP
Posted 11 years agoStarting today, now that FA's got its mess together!
I initially said I would color it before posting it publicly, but I ended up deciding against that because I have a mess of other comics I want to get to making instead -- so the versions going up will be the same ones in Xfrmations Unlimited #7 (barring a deleted scene and a couple of minor redraws). Future print comics will be done by coloring them first and downsampling them to greyscale for print, avoiding this issue altogether.
Hope you enjoy the comic; there's more fun things coming up soon! <3

New Comic Coming Soon
Posted 11 years agoJust FYI, art might be a little dry in the forthcoming weeks because I'll be working on my next comic! It's 12 pages and has been completely thumbnailed; since the print publication I've received approval from is in black-and-white, I'll be focusing on penciling, inking, and shading this comic before I put it in color.
Finished-for-print pages will appear on my Patreon page for anyone who pledges $1 or more per month. Once the comic is finished and I receive final approval from the publisher, each page will be colored and posted publicly, for free, as fast as I can crank 'em out. Between now and then, I'll put a few work-in-progress inks up in Scraps just so y'all can be apprised of my progress.
Thanks, as always, for your support! <3

Something Is Brewing
Posted 11 years agoWhat happened to the dailies?! The stream's run completely dry! They're --
-- oh wait --
-- I just checked upriver, and the flow has been diverted! I'm going to have to dig a channel to reroute them! It'll take a few days, but it should work...
...huh! I just noticed something. The flow is looking pretty rich, now that I can see it up close... but it also looks a little weird...
(stay tuned! :D )

"'Daily'??? But you missed a--"
Posted 11 years ago--I know, I know; there's no submission for 4/22. It's because I was doing the pencils for Maritza, Unshaken, but I'd neglected to sign and upload them for some reason!
In the future when I have pencils for a later piece and they look like they won't be ABSOLUTELY polluting the front page, I'll throw 'em in the gallery for the time being -- and if I choose to ink/color them, I'll put the sketch into Scraps once the final version uploads (or Friends Only on Weasyl). My intent through Daily submissions is to quicken up my techniques and workflow through practice, so I'm almost completely certain this won't happen more than once per picture. (Almost!)
I think that's it, for now! Thank you all for believing in me. :)
