Thank you so much for everyone who bought a slot! Buuuut I still only managed to barely squeeze enough money together with the help of my sister to pay for first, last and movers.
We have enough groceries for now, but we might have to go to the foodbank at the end of the month because there's n o t h i n g left for us to get money, and already in debt for a few friends who graciously lent me money. So, I still encourage you to help me out so I can work for that money instead of just mooching off of other people who might need it more! I've been talking to you guys who have wonderful ideas for these watercolor commissions and I'm super excited to get started on them!!! Like for real I want to take my own time on all of them so far they're really great!!
I definitely think it might be best to come around to each commission and touch it up in rounds and show updates for everyone. Thats because watercolor takes several layers of drying and I might as well be working on all of them at once, it would also be a cool way to keep everyone posted on progress so they aren't waiting in silence for me to get to thier "slot". Pencilcrayon commissions would be much faster as it takes less "rounds" to get them done.

Okay so my dumb ass wanted to do things so proper that I wasn't going to ask for the money until I was ready to start working on it and was so busy arranging things that uhhh....

Okay it's for realsies, I finally took my son and I left. I'm currently in a temporary home, where I only have 1 room, and I have 6 weeks to come up with first and last before I'm homeless with a baby. This room just has a dresser, table, bed, couch and a TV. I'm not even allowed a kettle or toaster in my room and I have to wear a mask whenever I leave, even just to go to the washroom.
When I had this baby I had planned to never open commissions again because I was going to be a full time housewife and stay at home mom... funny how that dream went up in flames eh? 😘
I used to have a commission turnaround of like 5-6 days, but the sheer quantity of money I need to get so fast, and the very very little time I have on the daily to work (usually like 3h a day max), ontop of the fact of how inconvenient it is to try to both; be around my baby but ALSO keep all this art away from a 1 year old.... yea these are going to maybe take a year to get to.



Aaaaanyway, I've worked out what I'm going to do!

There will be a queue and then slots.

Whoever just asks for a commission will get a spot at the bottom of the queue, then they wait their turn until i come to them for details about the commission and payment. *You will have 24 hours to respond. Either to bail, pay for the commission, or go back to the bottom of the queue, after 24 hours I will go down the queue list*. Once they pay, they will get *at least* a sketch within week for the ONE AND ONLY CHANCE TO ASK FOR EDITS (this is traditional art in ink and watercolor paint so I can't exactly edit it later, only digitally, but if I try to edit it after it's done it will LOOK edited).
Ideally, I'm going to do the sketch, wait for review/approval, and then ink them in batches. But hopefully the batches won't be very large, i don't like having a long to do list, let alone a lot of unfinished art waiting for grubby fingers to sneakily smear spaghetti all over them while I literally turn around for 5 secconds.
Then once I have the time and space, I'll watercolor them, then I'll go over the details and shading with pencil crayon. Once done, they will be shipped in waterproof packaging, free of charge to anywhere in North America.

The paintings will be done on 13"x18" 60lb cardstock (about the size of an open binder, or slightly bigger than 2 standard peices of paper).

My son was born 1month premature last week and I'm having a hard time coping with the fact i had to leave the hospital without him, and i can't go back into the maternity ward to see him due to covid19 quarantine procedures to keep the new mothers in the ward and premature babies in the nursery safe.

I know I said I'd close them at the start of April, but I'm having a hard time keeping up right now and want to get everything I owe finished within the next few weeks.
Once I catch up, I might do a few same-day sketches if I have time.

Personal explanation;
I'm almost 9 months pregnant now, and feeling like the baby can come any day soon. I'm having trouble even sitting comfortably in any position let alone for long enough to be able to work on drawing and I'm also sleeping a lot.
Once the baby does come though, I'll be pretty much have no time to work on art for at least a few months, (if I come back at all). Anything not finished by then will be refunded.

✏️ ***TRADITIONAL AND DIGITAL ARTWORK TOS/INFO*** 🎨

✅ Digital artwork is done on ibispaintx so I am able to give you a speedpaint of the artwork being made when its done :)
✅ Everything traditional is usually fullbody characters on 8.5x14 paper, inked and colored traditionally. Please let me know before i start sketching if youd like it laminated or shipped. Lamination is only available in 8.5×11 size and my shipping envelopes are 9×12 so i have to trim the paper to fit.
✅Please note that there are pigment limitations on physical media (like pencilcrayons) and scanning changes the colours a little more. Only fully shaded commissions have a "color pallette" example included with the WIP sketch.
✅ Flat rate shipping is available within North America. This includes packaging with cardboard lining with bubble envelope (to prevent folding/damage), postage fees and handling. Also included is a free gift! A signed "Tiger" print to compensate for the cost.
✅Lamination is available in any shipped commission. The "Tiger" print will be laminated to test that the laminator is functioning properly before I laminate the artwork to avoid damage to the origional peice.
✅ You can have any commission as a badge in any size, no extra cost for the name text.
✅ If you want a scan at the sketch or lineart steps, please let me know beforehand, typically any updates are just crappy phone pics because thats the most efficient way to keep my turnarounds quick.
✅Reference sheets can be made (either colored or lineart). Prices are per pose and any details to be negotiated.
✅ You can get your commissioned lineart colored digitally by someone else if you like, or do any edits to your commissions. Just still give me credit and don't resell it in any way
✅ Typically I'm available from 9am until 2pm EST weekdays and generally might not be able to contact outside of these times.

💸 WORKFLOW PROCESS OUTLINE 🎨

1⃣ We work out the details of what you would like drawn. I would need references of your character and/or a detailed description of exactly what you have in mind. We would work out a price based on what you had in mind and any extras like laminating/shipping. I will add your slot to the queue once this is worked out.
2⃣ Once you reach the top of the queue, I will confirm that you're still interested, then I will send you an invoice and also make a rough WIP sketch. You can pay immediately or wait for the WIP sketch.
3⃣ After I receive the *entirety of the payment*. You can request up to 5 big edits of the sketch and I'll try my best to envision your idea. If you request more changes that you did not specify in step 1 or 2, I might request extra payment/you pay for a new sketch, expecially if it involves if you want more than %50 of the artwork completely changed.
4⃣ Once you approve of the sketch to be completed, I will ink and color your artwork, and you can see the phone-pic-progress in the #🔧work-in-progress🎨 channel on my discord. If you want it scanned at any if these steps please let me know ahead of time. *I am likely unable to make further edits at these steps, but if you catch an error before its too late you can bring it to my attention before its done and I might be able to fix it*
5⃣ Once it's done I will give you the scanned&contrast adjusted version and I'll upload it online (let me know if it's a surprise so I'll wait on uploading!). If you paid for lamination/shipping it will be sent out within the week, shipping takes about 2-3 weeks.

Been doing nonstop commissions for about 2 months and I've been feeling a burnout/artblock sneaking up on me and i want to nip it in the bud before it even *thinks* about catching up to me . Also kinda feeling like my general consistency of quality is dipping a little and want to take a break to not feel like an art machine. Been consistently making about 2-5 commissions every week (else than the Christmas break, but that was a pretty hectic week and not much of a laid back break anyway)


When I get back to doing commissions (about the 20th or so) I'll be opening for Valentine's day commissions!
I'm thinking $40usd for 2 characters with a simple/partial background (like a prop or a bed or just some color or something). This can be sfw or nsfw but the general theme should be lovey dovey stuff :)
My current prices are about $45 for 2 characters without a background already so I think it's a pretty decent deal.
What do you guys think? Decent enough prices?

So as of November 12th, its been one whole month of being on FA
Since joining i have made 42 fully coloured illustrations! O:

I had started off with doing requests and after that got a little overwelming i switched it over to a raffle, and since then the commissions have been rolling in like mad!!! Seemed pretty apparent that i had to raise my prices from being just $20 ;)

As for the 17 requests I still owe, plus the raffle prize that will be drawn once they are done, im thinking of using them to mess around a little bit with my style. So far ive been using a strait forward coloring style that is now tested and true, but since the requests aren't paid for, I was considering experimenting with adding more colouring into the lighting and shading, as well as maybe coloring the traditional lines digitally. I could also mess around and practice some perspective and general scenery.

What do you guys think? I would love to offer more variety in my commissions in the future and i don't feel comfortable with experimenting with stuff thats paid for incase it turns out really bad

Ok since I'm trying to build up some examples and a reputation, I'm doing dree art for some publicity. As of making this journal i have 3 favourites and 1 watcher in total.
