No idea why I'm writing this, nobody ever reads these damn things. BUT, just in case we're living in a parallel universe and someone actually does read this, I'm permanently deleting my dA account. I have no use for it anymore. All the people I joined it for are, as far as I know, no longer there. Plus it's just a safe haven for art thieves. Not only that, but art theft is actively encouraged. They openly support NFTs, which is something I refuse to be a part of. That, and I had no idea before I looked it up. I always knew they didn't give a shit about their own ToS, I just didn't know they actively supported art thieves.

So yeah, I'm permanently deleting my dA account. Just wanted to say something. I don't know who I'm saying it *TO*, but I guess at least now it's out there. I'm back, and have uploaded all the pictures I wanted to into my Naka-Kon folder and moved them from my main gallery to Scraps, as I had apparently forgotten that I could do that in the first place. <.<

I didn't upload all of them because I have a fuck-ton of them, and they're mostly of cosplayers that look cool but I have no idea who the characters are, or they're of different people in the same outfit, so I didn't upload those. Also, I can't really write a description for a photo if I have no freaking clue who the person in it is supposed to be. x3

on Sat, and I had a good time. There were estimated to be between 4000 - 4500 people in attendance, and it was a very moving rally. We were also incredibly peaceful and calm, no asshats showing up to cause trouble or anything. In fact, I saw absolutely no police there at all. There were probably some plain-clothed officers there, but there wasn't exactly a 'Police presence' which I think also helped. I even made the Topeka news, apparently. A friend of mine (she was also there) told me that I was photographed during the march, waving the rainbow flag that my friend brought with us. I was asked about the flag by a few people, and I told them that I was there for my friends who couldn't be.

I'm not in the LGBT community myself, but I was proud to wave that flag. ^^

Things like this just go to show you, that there are more people in our country who believe in love than there are who believe in hate. And that gives me hope for the upcoming four years.

Her boyfriend just proposed! So I'm getting a brother-in-law for Christmas. =3

Yeah. it's my birthday again today, and I'm just three years away from the big 4 0. Man, where does the time go? When I was 20 I could never imagine being 40, and now I'm almost there. Fuck. ....I'm going to go get drunk. :/

SO, to add to my already-existing stress and anxiety problems, Microsoft, like the bastions of humanity that they are, sucked $134 out of my account without my permission. Now, they did send me an email saying they were doing that, but unfortunately I buy stuff from them on occasion as it is, so seeing 'billing@microsoft.com' in my inbox doesn't automatically tell me anything. I just assumed they were telling me about my last Xbox Live purchase for one of my games, so I ignored it. Turns out, unless you explicitly say no, they renew your helpdesk subscription automatically. Want to know the funny thing? When I ordered the year of tech support last year, I told the guy I just wanted a year of it. That's it. Nothing special, nothing too involved, and definitely not a renewing service. Now, most services will cancel themselves automatically if you don't renew them. Hell, my Xbox Live GOLD subscription does that. Tech support? Unless you respond to an email you may or may not see, they renew the subscription automatically.

I didn't even know it happened. I just so happened to be checking my bank account online like I do every day, and wouldn't you know I was in the red by $130. They say they're going to refund the money, and I checked my Microsoft e-mail through Windows and sure enough there's an e-mail stating it was refunded. The only problem is, it can take up to 5 business days to process, which means I'll be out even more than that by the time it's refunded because of overdraft charges. Now I have go down to my bank when they open this morning, and see if I can beg my way out of an overdraft fee, all because of Microsoft. }BE

There may even be the possibility of them coming down here to visit! =3

I didn't do anything this year (or last year either, for that matter), but usually I like to get a free cup of coffee and a free video rental, just for something special to do on my birthday. Thing is, I moved last year, so I'm fairly far away from where the coffee shop and video rental place are. I dunno if there's any place around where I live now that does stuff like that, but maybe I can check at some point.

Got a new RPG game from Steam for about $25, called Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning. I got it on my X-Box 360 for free this month through X-Box Gold, so I tried it out on that first. I liked it well enough to buy it on Steam, and now I'm playing it on my PC. Other than that, nothing new's been going on.

I am Jim Hardiman’s mom, Pauline Hardiman. Some of you may have met me at one of the earlier Confurences in 1995 – 1997. It has now been 9 months since Jim’s death. Before Jim died he had told me about the plans for a Skunkworks Graphic Novel that he was working on with Jason Canty of Angry Viking Press. He asked me to contact Jason after his death and work with him to make this happen. I promised Jim I would do this for him.

My youngest son, Jonathan (Jim’s brother) and I had a face to face meeting

with Jason Canty in November 2014. I have had a difficult time since losing my son but I made him a promise so I will keep that promise. Together with Jonathan, we are working to make “Shunkworks The Graphic Novel” become a reality. I have already scanned and sent over 100 images to Jason.

I am Jim Hardiman’s mom, Pauline Hardiman. Some of you may have met me at one of the earlier Confurences in 1995 – 1997. It has now been 9 months since Jim’s death. I first found this out from my friend Jim Labella after MFM was over, and I was stunned to hear the news. Jim Hardiman was one of the first few artists I've known about since I first got into the fandom in '98. He was an awesome artist and, from what I've heard, an awesome guy as well. The world is dimmed by his absence.

Jason Canty and Jim's mom are going forward with publishing the Skunkworks graphic novel, as that's what Jim wanted. I don't know when it's due out, you'll have to ask Jason Canty about that, but he's said they're moving forward with it.

Hey all.

I've never LiveStreamed before, so I don't know how this'll work out, but I may be streaming the wrap-up of the model I'm working on, just as soon as I get an idea solidified in mah brain meats as to what the model needs to look like. I"m just barely starting out right now, so it'll be a while before I truly get going on it (Right now I just have a ton of misc. parts strewn about the screen, with only about four put together so far. So to spare you the dull, boring, 'put the parts I'm interested in on the grid, then spend an hour trying to figure out what to do with them' phase, I'll go ahead and get the model started first, then maybe stream the rest.
