@ Anthrocon! Any Furs Looking for Custom Badges?
Posted 6 years agoPresently I am at Anthrocon. Are any furs looking for custom badge drawings? I am available this weekend and need some quick con cash. Specializing in WaM art haha.
I am @ MFF2018 Say HI.
Posted 7 years agoOkay this posting is very late. My FA page has been neglected but I'm remedying that.
Just putting it out there that I am at MFF. If you want to say hi or whatever, look me up. I'm not too difficult to find. You can usually find me in the Hyatt lobby area wandering around or charging my phone, or possibly wandering around the convention center.
I'm probably fairly easy to spot in a crowd. Okay well maybe not if you've only seen me with pie facials; definitely my best look haha. So this is a rare chance to see what Chantilly Cat really looks like when I'm not hiding under all those wonderfully yummy cream pies!
I wear a grey ballcap, and atm the MFF fox shirt. (Speaking of which, am I the only one who has noticed that the fox face has sort of "messy" look? :D) Although I might possibly be wearing a green Pizza Parma shirt. Also wearing Bronycon and MFF lanyards.
I'm sort of quiet and shy at first around new people but actually I'm really chatty, depending on the subject.
Don't be afraid to say your hi's with some pies; you're always welcome to... or just simply hi. Haha
My new catch phrase... "Nothing else says hi with such grace and glee, like a big cream pie in the face, or three!"

Feeling like a Fursuit
Posted 11 years agoSurgery went well. Stitched up and bandaged. Feeling like a freshly stitched fursuit. Hahaha
I've been taking it easy for a couple nights. Back to work for me; no heavy lifting for a while though.
Thank you to all of you who wished me well and prayed for me. It was greatly appreciated.

Going Under the Knife
Posted 11 years agoMonday morning I will be going in for surgery. Recently it was verified that I have melanoma that needs to be removed as soon as possible. I'll be leaving the hospital a few ounces lighter. Hahaha
Furpocalypse 2014
Posted 11 years agoFurpocalypse is almost here. I'm trying to get myself psyched for the loooong drive ahead. FurFright a fave con of mine is no more. But now the Furpocalypse is almost upon us.
Robin Williams is in Heaven
Posted 11 years ago Driving home yesterday afternoon i heard on the radio news that a celebrity had passed away. When the announcer said the name Robin Williams my heart sank. When the word suicide was said, my heart hurt. I almost had to pull off the road for a brief moment. For the rest of the drive I was teary eyed. What a sad, lonely way to go.
Yes it was no secret that he had private troubles that dogged him. Still this was a talent needlessly lost. I hope anyone who ever reads this and has the same struggles as Robin did, asks for help. Your real friends will understand and help you as best they can. Sometimes the world can be a burdensome weight that you think you can't bear anymore. That's when you need a friend or two to help you with those pains. There is no need to resort to the path that Robin took. You may think so at the moment, but there really isn't. There are people who will help you. You just have to be brave enough to ask.
Back in the day I watched him on Mork & Mindy, and then later in numerous movies, The World According to Garp, Good Morning Vietnam, The Fisher King, Mrs Doubtfire, One Hour Photo, etc. His range of acting was impressive.
Even with all his movies my mind went back to watching Mork as a kid. I haven't thought about that show in ages. The memories of laughing at his goofball antics came flooding back and I couldn't help but laugh. OmG, the giant egg! If you watched Mork & Mindy back then you'll always remember the giant egg.
Robin Williams gave us all a lot of laughter of the years.
Sadly a little piece of my childhood went with him. But I'm sure he went to the good place.
Heaven has a new angel, and he's a comedian.

AC 2014 Room Search - Who else is going?
Posted 11 years agoAtm, i'm in the last minute search for a room. Sadly my usual room share isn't happening at all this year. So this year will be a slightly new experience with diffurent furs. I think i have it narrowed down and will confirm the share shortly.
Who else is going to AC this year?

National Pie Day!!!
Posted 11 years agoHappy "National Pie Day" everyone!!! That's pie as in pastry, not the mathematical pie. This should be a a spring or summer holiday and not be a winter holiday if you ask me. But then again i think pies are best worn and not eaten. I don't get as fat that way. Heeheehee
Merry Christmas

Gilbert Gottfried at MFF
Posted 12 years agoWell he's sort of at MFF, performing a few blocks away at Zanie's this weekend. Any furs at MFF planning on seeing Gilbert Gottfried?
Update: i have a VIP seat for the show! i'll probably have uncontrollable giggles aftwerwards.
Second update: The show was totally worth the ticket price. All the comedians were very good. Gilbert Gottfried was hilarious! Definitely not for the faint of heart, but definitely funny.
For those of you not in the know. he was the voice of Iago in Disney's Aladdin.

MFF '13

Almost a Ghost on Halloween
Posted 12 years agoI was almost a ghost on Halloween night.
It seems I found a major cause of my inexplicable illness and fatigue that has slowly become worse for more than the past year and spiking in the colder months; slow carbon monoxide poisoning.
Turns out CO from the wood stove was increasingly leaking into the house, most likely over the past couple of years.
Halloween evening I realized things were getting extremely bad and within an hour or two I was rapidly drained of energy with extremely shallow breathing. I knew something was seriously wrong. Before i was about to "nod" off I forced myself to open a window for some fresh cold damp air. The leak was quickly located.
Yep carbon monoxide was leaking into the house, making it difficult to get any oxygen.
Talk about a close call.
And it turns out that it may have been a good thing i didn't go to FF this year. Had i been gone, my dad may have started up the stove that was producing the CO and not noticed it.

Missing FF, and MFF Coming Soon
Posted 12 years agoSince i skipped FF this year, i'm feeling more than a bit down this weekend. Other than the trip there and back (yikes, driving in Hurricane Sandy), FF is a wonderful, much needed break from stresses.
So somehow i'll have to have twice as much fun at MFF this year to make up for missing FF.
Any suggestions?

Life and Distractions
Posted 12 years agoThings have been rather stressful lately. There's been a lot of "real life" happening and that's left me little time for furry sites. Hopefully i'll be posting some more things soon. And hello to the furs who have recently "watched" my page. :D

Hoof Beat 2 - Auctioning a MLP comic book on FurBuy
Posted 12 years agoI am presently auctioning off a copy of the MLP fanbook Hoof Beat #2 on Furbuy.
http://www.furbuy.com/auctions/1041799.html
My car engine just died on me and i must sell some things for quick money towards another car. So please spread the word to anyone who may be interested in bidding on a Hoof Beat comic book. These are very rare since there were only 200 copies printed with no plans for any reprints in the future, and i haven't seen any turn up for sale in a few months. Thank you for any help in spreading the word. :D

Happy Birthday to Me!
Posted 13 years ago Well today is my birthday and i'm spending it at MFF. For the most part i've been taking it free form; just wandering about taking photos of fursuits. This evening i've been taking photos of fursuiters posing with my Travelocity Roaming Gnome. As i get the chance, i'll be sure to post some of them here.
If you see a guy wearing a Smurf ball cap with neon "slime" green goggles and a "slime" green belt with a Ghostbusters logo buckle. That would be me. I might just ask you to pose for a pic with the roaming gnome. :D

MFF Is Almost Here
Posted 13 years agoLater on tonight i will be heading to MFF. i'll get there bright and early and probably hang out in the lobby taking photos, drawing, and chatting with whomever. MFF is my birthday present to myself. This year my birthday falls on Saturday so i hope i can find a party and some fun. :D
FurFright X
Posted 13 years ago Thankfully i am back safe and sound from FurFright 10. The hurricane made for dangerous driving conditions. Hopefully every furry made it home safely.
i saw the aftermaths of five wrecks in the storm on the way back, including a just extinguished smoldering car, and a roll over that looked fatal. If someone walked away from that one, it was a miracle. i ought to know, i've been in a hard roll myself and walked away stunned but alive.
FurFright was worth the trip and fun as it always is.
This year i participated in the Fursuit Games, thanks to friendly prodding by Bleis. Glad he talked me into it too, we won second place, and it was fun!
i brought my usual trash bags full with donations of plushies and things for the War Dogs charity. And i made a quick ink sketch for the charity art book. Several furs complimented it and i'm always reluctant to accept kudos. But then suddenly Belic practically explodes with "Dude that's awesome!" :D Belic being Belic, his enthusiasm absolutely destroyed my self-criticism. XD So ok Belic, it was awesome. :D
Finally i bought a souvenir shirt. The first time i could afford it in three years. Sadly they ran out of convention DVDs way too early. So i didn't get a copy of this year's documentary myself, and i'm in it.. well sort of. Heehee Imagine my shock when i see "someone" wearing a Smurf hat on the big screen in the documentary at opening ceremonies. 0.0 Myself and Bleis were probably the only ones laughing at that moment. To those who were there and didn't understand the laughter, well i'm not telling what the story behind the photo was. mwahahaha XP
Without any hints i was "surpiesed" by Bleis. 0.0 Maybe i'll be brave and post a pic or two of that. heehee
i participated in the first parade, sadly missed the second one. Went to some panels. Hung out with Bleis, Paws, and Wallaby. Hung out a bit with Waggable a bit too. Had a blast at Bleis' pizza party playing Cards Against Humanity with Hivuel, and everyone else. And the furs who could have same to the party and didn't make it missed out on a GREAT time and lots of pizza. Furs left this one with their sides aching from hours of laughter.
i'm sure i'm forgetting something, but there's so much to recount. This sums it all up pretty well. Well worth two days worth of driving including one in hurricane force rain and wind, not to mention the cost of gas. Yikes. But it's all good. Furfright is FUN!
