Posted 17 years agoYou know it has to be done, especially by me; a review of Beverly Hills Chihuahua by an chihuahua fan, owner and fur. I'll try not to post any spoilers although its not hard to guess what happens in the movie since it is by Disney. So lets start off with the actors which I don't have much to say since I don't follow actors and celebrities and can care two shits less about what they do with their lives as long as they're not hurting other living things and can do their acting parts well. I like the acting and the voices for the dogs are great and humorous for stereotypical Mexican accents go. I was also surprise that George Lopez sounded good in this movie; I'm not a big fan of George Lopez's sitcom though his comedy is funny but he sounds pretty good as a chihuahua. It also might have helped that his character, Papi, didn't really have that much of a big role; he was more of a love struck dog looking trying to find his lost love that happen to be tagging along with the people looking for the main character, Chloe.
This leads to what the story is about: rich, spoiled chihuahua, from Beverly Hills, gets lost in Mexico due to the negligence of her dog-sitter while her master is way on a business trip. She finds help from a German shepherd, El Delgado, who tries to help her find her way while being chased by a dog fighting ring leader and his mean pinscher(? I'm not as much of an expert in naming dog breeds as I should be) who want to hold Chloe for ransom. Papi is just Chloe's master's landscaper's dog who is in love with Chloe. The movie has a lot of laughs, some adventure, a little character development and of course, love. As for as depths of the movie, not so much seeing as its a family movie by Disney though it has plenty of Mexican stereotyping with a happy ending for everyone.
The major selling point of this movie is dogs, lots and lots of dogs, especially lots of chihuahuas. So much cuteness! I also like the portrayal of chihuahuas as the big hearted and spirited little dogs they truly are. I give this movie a 4 out of 5 chihuahua paws. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves dogs (chihuahuas especially, that should go without saying), doesn't mind typical Disney movies, has family and kids what want to see it and isn't ashamed to want to go watch it.

Furry; a chihuahua
3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?
What should I make for breakfast?
4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?
A silver shirt with grey pants.
5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?
He'd notice how cute his eyes and the white spot on his head look.
6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?
He'll eat pertty much anything in front of him.
7. How is your character similar to you?
Pertty much is me.
8. How is he/she different?
Thiner, shorter, can use a giant spatula, cooks more.
9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
Yep; though a bit deeper to go with his looks.
10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?
I'd check myself out then try to find and isolate the factors leading up to my change so I can market it to the world.
11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?
Not that I know of.
12. What advantages does your character have over you?
He can cook better and he's a bit more intuitive.
13. What disadvantages?
He likes to eat too much and lacks some self-control.
14. Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?
Yeah, just one but that's for me to know.

Nope.
16. Do you have any plans for your character or are you working on something big relating to him/her?
I want to learn to draw him.

Nothing that isn't a sterotype of a chihuahua.

Be more intuitive.

Not anyone based on real-life, not yet anyways.
