It's been a while since I did anything like that. The past couple of years I've been at RMFC and that's it. Sooooo yesterday one of our new service dog clients was going to be attending the Pearl St Mall meetup with her dog, and during the first month of placement we typically go with the clients on big outings to help out and make sure things go smoothly. So yeah, I did a meetup yesterday for work lol It was pretty fun. I really love the client and her family, they're so sweet. It was nice seeing some familiar faces there, too. I think I'd like to get back into attending some things now and then.

What a great con! I had so much fun this time, and it was definitely over way too fast. I got to see a lot of my friends, made a few new ones, suited with Sphinx in our DHC fox suits (his first time wearing his at a con!) and made $5000 for Freedom Service Dogs! Thank you soooo much to everyone that pitched in by donating money, auction items and pimping out the collection cans. It means a lot! I had a great time with the three panels I was involved with this year. Friday 3 of my coworkers joined me with dogs and we did our panel about Freedom & walked the dealer's den. They all had a great time, it was a great experience for the dogs and two of the coworkers purchased items in the dealer's den. PupE & Kiasha helped with my panel as well. Kiasha is actually a coworker, too, but will be leaving us soon unfortunately. Saturday was the So You Think You Can Dog panel that I did with Idess. We did it last year and had so much fun that we decided to bring it back. Idess made totally awesome stickers for prizes this time. Next year's theme is Game Shows so I'm fairly certain we'll be doing it again! Sunday I hosted Dogs & Donuts. Sphinx bought over 3 dozen donuts for the panel, and they were gone immediately so yeah, good turnout! If we do that one again we'll be buying lots more donuts. I can't wait for next year, and seriously one of my coworkers is now looking into getting a fursuit. Thanks everyone who attended for a fun, memorable time!

I'm going to be in Connecticut for a week! Anyone know of anything awesome to see or eat while I'm there? Mostly going to be in the Waterbury area.

So I'll be in Wisconsin for about a week, staying in Wausau, Tomah and Madison. Anyone know of anything I should check out while I'm there? Interested in touristy things, cool places to stay, nature stuff, meets, etc. Also hoping to find some fireflies so if anyone knows where to spot them, please let me know!

So looks like I will be doing a lot of work during RMFC, since I will be there representing my work as this years charity! It's a great cause...we rescue shelter dogs and train them to assist people with disabilities. I highly recommend that if you are going there this year you put something in the charity art show or stop by our booth or demo to say hi and see what we're about! This will be my coworkers' first experience with furries, too, so I want to show them a good time at the con and make them feel welcome =) Sphinx & I might be doing a plush for the charity auction as well!

Had a great time at the con this year, although next year I hope to do 16th Street Mall as that was the one thing missing. I'm missing everyone already! I think we may try and see about fitting FC in afterall ;)

We bought a 2002 Land Rover Discovery 2 from Sphinx's uncle this week. We took it out offroading today and had a blast! We also found a good spot to do some target shooting, which I hadn't done in a while. The dogs went with us and had fun on the mountain (left them in the car though while we went off to target shoot...don't want to hurt their sensitive dog ears!) and somehow they managed to fall asleep while we were coming back down off the mountain.

We also went to the junkyard earlier today to get some stuff for the Lincoln so it will be easier to sell, and we bought another welding helmet, so we'll probably be doing some welding tomorrow.

It's been a nice break from work, which has been stressful this month.

Friday was my birthday. Sphinx got me lots of frames so we can hang up a bunch of our art. We went out to dinner at BeauJo's with some of my coworker friends and had a good time.

This week I've been working on placement for one if my service dogs, meaning she moved into her client's home and I've been going up there to work with them in the home and practicing outings with them in public. It's been good. Thursday for lunch we went to a little brewery restaurant and had beers together. My job is awesome =D

Rainfurrest was this past weekend and it was soooooo good. Definitely one of the cons I'll never miss. I already miss all the great people I was fortunate enough to hang out with while there, and I hope to see a lot of you at FC!

Sphinx proposed to me last night...we are officially engaged! =D
