Moving Accounts! + End of December Updates!
Posted 13 years agoSo, I've finally decided to make my transition to my new account,
Snowsabre. I've had it sitting around for a while now, procrastinating on when I should make the switch. Well, with FC coming up, and my new business cards coming soon, I decided now would probably be the best time to make the move.
See you guys at my new account!

Also, got some sketches for FC pre-orders ready for scanning. I'm currently up in the mountains right now with the boyfriend and his family in their lovely little cabin, so I don't have a way to put anything online, save for digital art.
Conbadge Pre-orders are still open, by the way! $5 down via paypal reserves your slot, and you'll be able to pick up your badge and pay the remaining amount at con!

December Updates + FC Pre-orders
Posted 13 years agoHiya guys, I'm still alive. Nearly done with this year's fall semester at college (only one and a half more weeks), and then I'll be turned loose for the December-January art grind in prep for FC. Going to get some slick new business cards printed from uvcards.com, so they'll look pretty sterling. Also going to prolly get some stickers printed from stickermule.com; the biggest deterrent so far is actually coming up with some designs that look pretty, haha. I've also been thinking about T-shirts, but I feel I'm getting a little over ambitious. I've already gotten a dozen and a half sketches that I need to ink, colour, upload, and then turn into prints. *SPOILER ALERT*: I've also been working on an entire bookmark line of all of the chromatic and metallic dragons from D&D. I plan on having the whole lot to sell at FC, quite possibly originals in the art show as well, so any d&d buffs may want to stop by my table ;p
Also, nearly complete with Fenris's bodysuit. All I have to do is hand stitch the red flecking into the black fur and combine the front and back halves; it should definitely be done by FC. And, for any of you super experienced suit creators out there, I have a simple question--what's the best way to prop or stand a duct tape dummy upright? I've seen people use home made pvc stands and whatnot, and some people even suspend them from ceilings or doorways (which is a bit creepy), but I'm a bit at a loss here (and short on time and money at the moment). All answers are appreciated!
Lastly, it's that time of year again! Pre-order badges for FC are opening once more. Since I can only do so many badges at-con (even then, I usually have to take home over half of the orders to finish at home!) and within the span of three days, so why not skip the convention badge queue entirely and pre-order yours? Not to mention, pre-ordered badges are slightly cheaper than at convention orders! I pretty much have unlimited slots, so any order for any badge size will be accepted. Examples can be found in my gallery, and if you'd like to place an order, drop me a note or shoot an e-mail to snowysabrecat@g-mail.com.
Be seeing you guys in January soon.

Recovering
Posted 13 years agoBeen sick with tonsillitis. Last couple of weeks have been so miserable--like, feeling my tonsils are about to rip themselves out of my throat and play jump-rope with my esophagus. But, I'm getting better. I've got a chance of missing Thanksgiving with the lion and his family if I don't recover fully within the next two days, though. Ugh. It's all I can do to talk, let alone cough the phlegm out of my throat :|
Anyways, not sure if I told you guys, but a while ago I got my confirmation for FC's Furry Market Place. I'll be there outside of the dealer's den for my third year in a row! I'll probably completely revamp my big rack o' badges (And, sadly, may even retire it for a swag new wire display), getting some new merch/prints, and I've got some surprises planned (like, good ones, too).
I'll be opening for FC pre-order badges within the next month, as soon as I can get some new, shiny examples scanned and posted.
By the way, a question! Does anyone know of a reliable (and reasonably priced) website where I can get some pro business cards printed? I think it's time to step it up a notch for the adverts, and I'm sick of punching over 500 perforated DIY business cards every January, hah.

Hey guys, I LIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!
Posted 13 years agoAnd boy, has it been a while!
SO, to make things clear about my sudden absence! Come the end of January/beginning of February, my internet crapped out on me, which was really frustrating. Four months without internet killed me, haha. Luckily, I was able to mail out all of my FC take home commissions (I knew it was a GREAT idea to put the address/contact info on those commission sheets at FC, haha). Although last week I got a returned badge that apparently got lost in the mail (jj_el_zorro, I'll be noting you in a moment!) for four months. gg, U.S.Postal Service. This isn't the first time you've given me the run around :S
Anyhoo, I have NEWS! And IMPORTANT STUFF! Hahaha.
Just as soon as I come back to the internet, I have to leave again. From <b>June 19th to July 15th</b> I'll be vacationing in England and France! I won't have many opportunities to use the internet while i'm abroad, if any at all, but i'll try to update my Tumblr when I can!
As far as art goes, I haven't really done much. School this semester killed my inspiration, but thankfully it's summer, and that means I can go art crazy (and finally try my hand at acrylic painting again!). Over the past few months I've done a couple (naughty) sketches when not slamming my head into a desk because of school, so i'll try and upload those soon, but other than that, I haven't really gotten anything done :X
I'll definitely be bringing along my art supplies to England with me--my copic markers sure will come in handy on the 10 hour plane ride there and back :p
Lastly, it's come to my attention that i've gotten some stolen artwork (which has thankfully been removed), so be prepared for a big, ugly watermark on my stuff soon. Ahh well. Just my luck--no internet for four months and as soon as I come back it turns out someones nicked my art, arghhh.
So guys, with all that said--what's up?
(god FA has changed a lot i almost couldn't find my inbox, haha)

FC Pre-order badges...
Posted 15 years agoSo Like i said a while back, I sent in my application for the furry market place and am pretty sure I'm going to get a spot. (This is going to be my 5th year attending FC, and my 2nd year as a dealer)
At conventions, my spots are limited as to how much i can draw, , and I can only do so much over the span of the convention weekend. I'm estimating I can only do between 30 and 40 badges at con, so why not pre-order a badge to be picked up at my table in the marketplace?
-$10 dollars down (paid through paypal) for my mini badges with the remaining $5 paid upon pickup at con. EXAMPLE
-$20 dollars down for my standard sized "regular" (non die-cut) badges, with the remaining $5 paid upon pickup. (no example yet)
-$25 dollars down for my standard sized "Die-cut" badges, with the remaining $5 paid upon pickup. EXAMPLE
-$35 dollars down for my die-cut "waist up" sized badges, you know the deal with the remaining $5 by now. EXAMPLE
**Also, please note that lamination and a badge clips for badges at con will be an extra $2.00, since the lamination and clip fee are normally included in the shipping price. Since I won't be shipping these (Obviously), the $2.00 fee for lamination and clips will be added per request (I'm not going to /force/ anyone to buy a clip/lamination combo.)**
Sooo,
if you're going to FC and interested in getting badge pre-order, feel free to note here.

Commission TOS
Posted 15 years agoCommission Terms of Service
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMISSIONING
-I retain the right to refuse any commission If I don't feel comfortable with it.
-Commissions turnaround dates are fairly quick, so please do not message/note me every hour.
-Please have reference art when commissioning full body sketches or detailed works. It helps me so much more, and allows for more accuracy on my part. IF reference art is NOT available (i.e. you're commissioning me for your first ref sheet, badge, etc.) Please be as ACCURATE and DETAILED with your description as possible.
-The commissioner -always- pays shipping. If you do not wish to have your traditional art shipped to you, then please specify so. Also, please do not try to convince me to pay shipping for you; i will refuse and point you here.
-For all artwork, I will e-mail one progress sketch of the pencil linework prior to inking (unless it's a simple sketch). This is when you should specify any changes that need to be made with the artwork. I will allow ONE free re-drawing for badges, and TWO free re-drawings for full colour commissions/full body lineart. Afterwards, if further changes must be made, each additional or excessive re-draw will cost roughly %30 of the total price, i.e. a second complete redraw for a $15 badge will cost $5.00, and and a third re-draw for a full body, full coloured, $40 traditional commission will cost $14.00. Optionally, a full refund will be given if the commissioner does not wish to have their art finished.
-I will draw adult material, but only to a certain extent. I will -not- draw anything illegal, which includes cub/babyfur, rape, or anything involving drugs or illegal substances.
-I will not draw scat, watersports, vore, animal dicks/feral porn, excessively obese furs, or any copyrighted cartoon characters (This includes Sonic, Krystal/Starfox, Toothless, etc.)
-If you do not have existing art for me to reference when drawing, please fill out this form.
Thanks in advance, and happy commissioning.
