Artist Introduction - Feb 2020!

So a year ago I made a little descriptor of myself for folks wanting to get to know me better, a lot has happened in that while, so here is the yearly update on.. well, me!
Whats your name?
So this is a hard press already, everyone, including friends and family know me as Chase, this is also my sona's name. I'm fine with being called it, it doesnt harm me by doing so.. but.
I've been really comfortable with the idea of being called Cheryl. The name has been growing on me the past year, as I've grown the confidence to really come out as myself..
Pronouns?
This has also been refined, I used to be okay with he/him.. well, by "okay" just means that everyone used it for me. In reality.. it made me feel really weird.. I had no idea why! When folks would jokingly call me "girlfriend" or "wife" it felt.. right.
This extended into being "misgendered" when strangers would see the back of my head, and call me "ma'am" or "miss" it gave me this euphoria, and it was heartbreaking every time they "corrected" themselves, I would feel awful.
It took a summer of crying myself to sleep till I sat up, staring at the wall and said.. "I might be a woman."
I'm a Nonbinary Trans-girl, so its She/Her now! They/them is more than fine too!
Hobbies/Interests?
I of course love to draw, write, and create!
So as of current I've taken a break from commissions, I still draw for money, but only really for mutuals. Doing commissions for strangers gives me a lot more stress than it should.. hopefully this will change again! I still love drawing for people.
I've been getting a lot better at wanting to do crafts, and cosplay, though depression and funds keeps thrawting me. I'll get there one of these days!

So the sona that everyone knows me by is
Chase, who is a cockatiel. They are a non-binary bird from Australia, or whatever the anthro world equivalent is.
I've had the sona since I was probably around 14 or 15. Birds have always run in my family.. so I just thought that it would fit me! Originally chase was going to be a Cockatoo, but I deemed the species to be a little too big for me.. so I shrank down to a tiel instead!
When they first started out, I doodled them with grey wings, based of my partner's tiel at the time! Slowly they evolved to be all pastel yellow, and slowly got more and more warm in hue since. Now I regards them at a more sunset orange than transitional yellow.
They used to have a big thought out backstory, something something involving running away from home. I think something about a twin brother? Its whatever. I don't remember most of it anymore. Theyre just.. there.

I created her a year ago now, before Chase, I used to have a canine sona, who I loved dearly.. but in regards to past trauma. I could no longer go by that character. It felt.. not okay. And I've kinda had a disdain for dog characters since.
Her birthday is actually Feb 14th! Both IRL, and in her little lore, crazy coincidence huh?
Cheryl is the sona I feel most myself with, she helps me cope with disphoria.. and is more like me in the appearance since. We both share long hair! She helps me keep the idea that girls can be long, lanky, hairy and still be women!
Heres to another year! I hope when I look back at this, I'll be in an even better situation!! <3
