Alright, so I just wanted to get rid of that old, manic-depressive-looking journal from before with something cheerier. :3 It seems that I get way more... uncheery... on this site, as apposed to DA and other places. Huh. But! I am unsinkable! HA!

So, yes. Anyhooo, I'll be posting my sketchy comic here (I figure I did it to DA, so I might as well subject FA to its unfinishedness.) Lots of it is very old; I haven't had a lot of time to work on it. Regardless, I do hope someone out there enjoys Shards. The rest will be digital!

You know the type. Awful, aren't they? Totally miserable. The premise of today's "one of those days" is pets.

My dog, Cleo, had an appointment with the vet this morning, as did my fiendish feline Sally. Turns out, Cleo has cancer, maybe has about 6 months left with us. Meanwhile, senile old Sally has been urinating on everything valued at over $100. So my family kicked her outdoors and intends to put her to sleep the moment I move out. In a month, that is.

So, I returned from the vet mulling over that bad news only to hear my younger brother screeching from upstairs. Of course, I go dashing up to see what the matter is. Now, my brother's rat Delilah has had an abdominal tumor for the past few months. I look into her cage to discover a pool of blood all over the upper level. And the albino rodent is simply rolling in it. It seems her tumor ruptured. There was no way she was going to survive, so my father had me hold her while he gave her a fatal injection. Which was rather unnerving. But nothing could beat watching my little bro cradling her and singing "Hey There Delilah" as she faded away. That pretty much sucked eggs.

So now I'm staring at the rabbit hutch, wondering when he'll kick the bucket. It seems to be the going thing.

What a day this has turned out to be.

I like animals. I like people. I don't want animals to be mistreated. I don't want people to be mistreated. I eat animals on a regular basis. People were made to be omnivorous. I'm not going to stop eating meat. I will investigate where my meat comes from and I will not support providers that are cruel to animals before their death. Sure, killing animals probably counts as being cruel. But there are more humane ways to do so than others.

I can understand where PETA is coming from. However, they have become something utterly unappealing, unaccepting, and offensive. Search PETA in Google Images and almost every single picture is pornographic. They are degrading women and condemning anyone who opposes it. I'm sickened. My opinion shouldn't start a war. I just felt like fuming.

Heh, so I'm always claiming that I'll get moving with that Shards webcomic of mine. But it's so time-consuming and I have so little time to consume! Which may or may not be a complete lie. Dishonesty aside, I won't be keeping a regular schedule with it. Also, I'm still quite incompetent with taking my penciled layouts and putting them into GIMP in a way that doesn't ruin my intentions. So, most likely I'll be posting character-sheet requests. featuring a single image of your character and their name. Not that exciting. It was what I was doing before.

On top of that, I'll be posting pictures of my game, which is really a play of Oda-sensei's (don't remember his full/real name right this instant, but the clever author of One Piece) little creation. I've built on the dice-rolling battle game idea and created my own version based off characters I've invented over the years. I made most of them a few years ago for the entertainment of my little brother and cousin on a long car trip. It went over so well they asked for it again on this year's vacation.

Please watch this! Please! I beg of you! I worked so hard on this! It isn't flash, so I can't post it here. So I plead for you to look at it on Youtube. My creations are finally starting to come to life! And with the whole summer ahead of me, I can get somewhere with the comic at long last.
