Back in the 2007 game rush there were alot of games that stood out from the crowd and Assassins creed was one of them and it was so successful it recently got a sequal, so lets take a step back in time where it al began.

The story has you play as Altier an assassin who lost his place as best assassin of his creed because of killing an innocent civilian so he has to get his position back by killing people who have done bad in the world and the game is set in the middle east during the 3rd crusade and you'll come across many different faiths and religions of people such as Christians, Jews and Muslims which were the main religions during this time.

The game is one of the best looking games of 2007 but dont be fooled by the looks because there are problems such as AI, during combat they are slow and there next moves is obvious and during non-combat they are just as dumb because if you kill a guard in front of another guard and go into a praying motion they dont even know it was you who did it, though thumbs up to the game because the voice acting is strong and believable and theres no hammy acting to be found here.

Overall the game gets a thumbs up you should play this before Assassins creed 2.

Before the whole debate over Rock band and Guitar hero there was a game by Korami called Guitarfreaks only found in japan minus a few stateside bowling alleys using a 3 buttoned guitar, harmonix took the formular to America and Europe and made it a huge success, its a little ironic that the company that started the whole thing is now playing catch up with the competion.

The game features 42 songs with a majority of the songs already featured in other games and there are only a handfull of exclusives and only 2 of the songs are master recordings the rest are covered by one band apparantly due to budget constraints, the cover songs guitars and drums sound up to date with the original songs but the laughibly bad vocals just ruins all 40 of them.

The game has a drum kit featured but there is no guitar with the game so you'll have to provide your own sad bit of irony if you've got one laying around from Guitar hero and no Rock band controllers work with the game and Steve Perry's do not apply because there is no singing to be done in the game and theres only 2 players max if you've been to enough partys with Rock band you'll know this game will keep any of your casual friends from caring.

Music games dont have to be the best looking around but this game just lacks class the backround are bland to the bone, the playable avatars are a flavourless bunch and the laughable pixelated crowd makes the game one of the ugliest games of 2009.

stick to Guitar hero and Rock band this game is'nt worth your time or money.

Counter-strike was origanally released as a mod for the ledgendary game Half-life but it was so sucessful it went on to retail and became one of the the most played games on the PC but does it live up to its legendary status today.

The game consists of you playing as either two teams, terrorists and counter-terrorists in either of two game modes, one has you set or defuse a bomb and the other has you saving or defending hostages, you can win the round by killing all players on the other team but you get more money for doing the set objective the game is fun either way.

You can earn in-game money by killing enemy players or completing objectives you can use money to buy weapons, ammo, armour etc. some weapons take getting used to but it feels good when you master them, the game features almost no lag and except for that one screaming nine year old the game community is actually really friendly and welcoming in the right server.

overall the game is fun and accessable and youll see ten minutes turn into two hours really easily.

Gears of war was released back in late 2006 and was known for its graphics for the time and the chainsaw lancer assult rifle but is it proof better graphics dont make a better game or is it really a great game.

The story has you playing as Marcus Phinex a soldier who ended up in jail for treason in the pengilem war but due to a race called The Locust invading from underground the C.O.G army are getting desperite so they send a soldier named Dominic Santiago to bust Marcus out of jail. The story spreads across 6 very long chapters and will take roughly 8 to 10 hours to complete depending on difficulty and youll meet lots of different personalitys along the way as well as some epic memorable scenes.

The first thing you will notice about the game are the graphics and physics that won the game countless awards, the voice acting is top notch, the graphics border almost reallife looking but the game is almost nothing but grey but it adds to feeling of how serious war is and the online multiplayer is'nt that bad and it kept number one spot on xbox lives most played list for nearly a year and theres still a huge ammount of players still playing even though Gears of war 2 is now availible proof the game adds class with age because there no framerate drops ormajor bugs to be listed.

overall the game is still worth the time and money with age and youll end up playing for hours at a time.
