Took a long break from all social medias, even FA. Now I'm back with more digital artworks and pictures from the meets and cons.
Keep you updated through here as this will be my main base of operations.
I'm gonna start fresh and move forward. I'm still gonna keep my older posts, just updates here and there.

I'm back, from a long break. So I got some updates:
I'm working on doing more drawings, this time fully digital, unlike my other drawings did years ago.
I gotten much better over time, I can't wait to upload some of those new artworks here soon.
I still have my original fursonas, Both Flint and Zoey, along with some newer characters, I will show them in a new drawing soon.

As for fursuiting, funny story about that, My fursuit hasn't been worn in a while, and kinda needs some repairs to the fursuit head, other than that, the suit still fits.
I'm looking forward to attending more cons once again.

Other than that, I'm glad to be back.

Joey here, so far I got some updates to share.
First off, I'm a bit on the heavy side and need to lose weight right away,
My goal is to be at least 220 pounds by the year 2020.
My diet would be loosely based of the "World famous" Keto diet, mostly fish and protein.

Second, I wanna jump-start on making some more artworks, this time, by using a new drawing tablet that I gotten a month ago, hopefully to start drawing again. The art style I was thinking of trying was, "digital painting."


Third, I wish to fix some of my fursuit's feet paws and fursuit head, mostly some wear and tear.

Forth, I'm planning to fursuit a lot more, and keep photography to a minimum , I'll post a few pictures when I have a chance, but don't expect many per furry event.

Hey there, Joey here. I wanted to give an update of my busy weekend in Irvine.
First off, it was pretty cool to attend a first year con, also take place near the original Califur location from years ago.
I decided to stay for the weekend to see how it was like, along with my bro.
Not gonna lie, but I think this one was far better than califur by far.
Only thing that I didn't like was me not taking enough pictures from the event. I was busy part taking the activities.
I attended some panels, played in the game room, joined the fursuit parade, and mostly relaxed as this was also my vacation from day to day life.
I've also noticed that my fursuit needs a bit of a make over, mostly the fursuit head, luckily I learned a few tips and tricks at one of the panels, many interesting tips.
I like the idea of a small con, just like this one.
It was fun.
Things that I would do better for next year:
Not get stressed out over nonsense, and lose a bit of weight.
Hope to go next year in 2020.

Hello all, it's been a year since my update, here's a rundown of how my summer went.

Anime expo 2018 was pretty much fun. I hosted a furmeet that year just like last year. Too bad it was pretty hot that weekend, So much so that I couldn't sit down of the benches.
Other than that it was fun.

I've also went to a new anime con, Animaga, which is at the fairplex in Pomona, also fun, played many gaming consoles that I've haven't played yet. I cosplayed as Meow from Space Dandy, I would cosplay twice at both cons.

I also went to the sunset beach bonfire furmeet this year, It was also fun. Just a bit sunburn on my knees, gotten there pretty early, which i've never done before. I've posted most of the photos that I've taken today, hopefully that's enough for now, I'll post more pics from other meetups later on, maybe after the summer.

I'm in route of building a new fursuit of Flint. I had the idea some point during 2017 as I found my Flint 2.0 head is getting a bit too old. I wanted to make a newer suit with better features. I kinda of want to see forward rather than side to side. A better use of fur, a much lighter head, and addition of the "follow me" eyes would be a nice refresher to the fursuit.
I got to work 2 weeks ago, I used foam this time instead of paper meche, I made the progress much more efficient, I made the basic shape of the head in the first night. I had a mishap during fur shopping in Los Angeles, I shattered my phone screen on the floor, near City Fabrics.
I had to rush back to backup my things and buy another phone, cutting the trip short.
At least I found the same fur as before and gotten what I needed.
I used leftover fur from my old fur collection and began to work on the fur. As of right now, I made the basic arrangements of eyes and fur, but it would have to hold for the weekend as I will be going to Anime Expo. I wanted to originally debut Flint 3.0, but I guess that would have to wait till the Ontario furs camping trip instead. I think spending more time with the project is better than rushing it.
It's turning out a bit the same to my old suit, that's not what I had in mind, I wanted something a bit different, but I guess it could be a simple fix.

I'm getting ready for AX, I might make a few tune ups to Flint 2.0, such as hot glue fixes and smaller updates on the eyes and nose.

6 years later: Being a furry. Written on march 8th


On May 19th, 2011. I was hanging out with my brother's group og friends. We were walking down the street to a friends house. It wasnt too far, just 2 miles from the mall.

As i sat in the living room, I had this great story idea, based off a currant fandom that i recently discovered.

After that, i wanted to be part of it. So this is where my story begins.

I was an author before I joined the fandom. Just a few months ago, I writen 2 stories about 2 anthro cheetahs that needed to be saved in the relem of the story. Later to turn into my fursona characters.
Zoey used to be named, Pink. While Flint stayed as Flint, named after the flintstone that he wears around his neck.

I began to make drawings based on moments that happens in these stories.

They are crude by todays standards
But improves seems to show off better details. These are from my unreleased story, Newfangled! Which is basically an orgin story for my chracters. After numerous rewrites, I put it away and make room for other stories.

(AX 2011)

My first convention ever, the annual Anime expo in Los angeles in July. This year was the 20th anversivy in which hatsume miku was the guest of honor.
I didnt make a fursuit quite yet, but the idea of building one looms in the back of my mine.
Ive never seen a convention like it before,at the time it was a huge event that spans 4 days.
While in the main halls, i encountered my very first fursuiter.

I was very excited to see an example of the furry fandom in real life.
He was very tall, with neon colors and only wished that i could greet him in person.


(2011 October)

I was a bit nervous when i told my parents to help me out on building a fursuit of my own, since i lacked the skills to do such a task. They were a bit confused at first, but agreed to help me out. It was a time of halloween, so it was about the right time.
After like 2 weeks of grabbing pieces of foam, cutting up terry cloths from the bathrooms, and picking up every bit of trash off the floor, I came up with this.

Such a nightmare indusing cheetah head that was done completely wrong. But since i had no idea what im doing at the time, it's considered, "Passable."

I thought about going to AX for 2012 and wanted to get my fursuit looking great till then. I was much more resourceful this time and found things around the house to fit the bill with:
Lego pieces for the claws
Bath towels for the yellow fur
Cardboard paper machie head
Plastic sheets for the eyes
And the list goes on.

A was really big with Furaffinity at the time, i watched many furs in the socal area, favorite every cheetah artwork that seemed cute.
I was also really huge with retro gaming as well.

Success!
My patance and craftsmens skills payed off. Flint 1.5, (which I like to call the project) was done on the cheap, cheap. I think i only used about 45 dollars worth of materials.
Just in time for AM2 (Right before AX)
Of course, it wasn't that fun of an experience the first time as my sight was at it's worst.
I debut Flint 1.5 at Anaheim's AM2 event, my 2nd ever convention.

My fursuit expeerience was unlike anything ive done before. I felt a bit confused of direction, it was hot in there, and had no performance skills. But despite all that, it was a fun time.
I couldnt wait to try it again during AX.

My very first furmeet during AX, I've seen many new faces there.

If only I spoke to more people that time. This was the moment that i felt that I was part of a fandom, a movement of sorts. A fandom of cartoonists, Costume makers, Photoraphers, and Fans.

I practically started over with the fandom. I made newer friends in the socal area, it was sad to see that many people that i was following on social media back then moved on. They were the same age as me, but did very different things now.
I thought my old looking fursuit needed a reboot, why not?
I had money saved up after all that time.
I also had a drivers licence, which allows me to travel around socal to meetups and friends.

So i gotten to work on getting back into the fandom once more.

I did start rebuilding Flint, added new fur. Rebuilt the suit, and made a partial suit. Flint 2.0 was finished around April.

I visited my first meetup in over 4 years. This was over at the bowling alley. Where i met many social furries. Once again, I seen new faces, felt good to be back in the group.



(Today)
(Spring 2017)

As of right now, Im into the idea of going to furry conventions instead of anime cons, i prefer social gathering rather than overfilled concourse hall any day.

As of right now i have 2 fursonas:
Flint and Zoey.
They are both cheetahs, that are very different from each other.

I wonder what the fandom will be like in the next 3 years, into the 2020's. It would be different, but better.

I was a different person back in 2011, and here are some rules that I lived by.


-Never be technical about anything:
This one is easy to follow, Your day shouldn't be ruined because your movie or tv show isn't in HD.

-Better appreciation:
As smartphones gets better and better every year, there's comes a point were it isn't really worth upgrading.
I'm perfectly happy with my HD phone instead of the QHD OLED.

-Making Confident decisions:
Make sure that your decisions doesn't make you wanna regret them later.

-Discovery of new fandoms:
If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't have discovered the furry fandom. It was one thing that lead to another, from finding an NES console, to discovering youtube gamers, to finding out what MLP:FIM was about.

-Live in the now:
Don't wait for price drops on that new game console or wait until new years to start your resolutions, start doing it.

-Be resourceful:
Having very little to work with can make you a bit creative, but if you have all the money in the world, it gets a bit harder and harder to have cool little original ideas.

-Nomadic:
Home isn't where you live, it's a mindset, and people you care about are present.

Since everyone is doing it so near to the end of the year, here's a list of things that I wanna do before 2017 is out.

-lose about 90 pounds

Since I'm very heavy, I must lose about 90 pounds, maybe before summer, not only its stopping me from shopping for clothes, it also stops me from getting a fursuit done the way I want it.
After eating for many months at fast food, It's comes to a stop on Jan 1st.
From that point, I'm heading to the gym more often.

-visit more Furry Conventions

This one is a bit fun for me, I always wanted to visit out of state cons or newer furry cons in general.
I'm hoping that I could go to the nearest ones in the west coast.
There's no way I could go to Further Confusion 2017, but there's other opportunities in the horizon.

-Saving up spending money

So far, I have enough cash to pay for these out of state cons as mentioned above.

- Build a 3rd fursuit of Flint

I want to build another fursuit for Flint, My cheetah fursona.
Since I would lose a ton of weight, I would need to make another full suit.
Since the character is a slender cheetah.

-Get into Fashion designs

I liked the idea of getting into cosplay and costume designs.
I already know how to use a sewing machine, but I would like to get to the advance stuff.

-Return to College

I'm taking classes at college for the first time in 2 years.
due to problems with my personal life.

-Finish rewrites of "Newfangled!" (my own unpublished novel series)

I really wanna finish Newfangled: the Novel that I'm writing at the moment.
I wanna release a readable copy to FA for others to see.
I will finish that sometime in April 2017.

I'm going on another trip to Las Vegas. This time for 5 days. It's the second time this year.
This time, my family and I are going to the grand canyon west. It's our first time going there.
I thought of fursuiting there (even just my partial), but there's simply no space left on board the rental car, maybe I could bring along my cheetah plushies. I'll make a travel VLOG on my YouTube channel definitely.
I'm going to cover many aspects of the trip, I'm going to start doing this every place I go for now on.
Also taking photos too.
I'm also going to stop by to eat at the White Castle in hotel Casino Royale, I usually get the $10 one that contains 10 sliders. We are staying at the circus circus this time. There isn't much of a view facing the east from the hotel room, due to Rivera being gone and all.


Vegas is where my novel takes place (Newfangled), which I'm still currently writing.
I can get a couple of chapters written by the time I finish our vacation.

I'm going to return back to Vegas sometime next year, to attend Elliot's social gathering (not sure if it's even happening) with fursuit and all. It's gonna be great.

I've gotten into the fandom when I was in sophomore year in highschool.
Around the time I used to write stories about anything that I can think of.
One of these stories involve an anthropomorphic cheetah named Flint.
He was an ally to another character in the story.
Later I made a prequel story with a new cheetah character named Pink.
Later she turned into Zoey in my recent story "Newfangled".
After looking for a Nintendo entertainment system from my brother's closet, I collected video games around this time and wanted to search for Toad on Nintendo Wiki. I clicked on the phase, "Anthropomorphic" on Wikipedia. It took me to a new page showing that there's a group called, "the furry fandom". I clicked on that and learned what was a furry is. Made me realize that I probably written a furry story or something like that.
After doing research and made a few videos about the fandom and how it sounds exciting.
For the first time in my life I realize that this is something I really enjoy looking at or doing. I want to write a story that was similar to those furry stories I read up.

Around this time, I watched a little movie called "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas"
I really liked it, probably a whole bunch of furries liked it too, which got me inspired to write a few more stories similar to it.

I made another story called Newfangled. It will focus heavily on theses cheetah characters. Later on May 19, of 2011 after hanging out with my brother's friends. I read some really nice furry stories. I then realized that I could be a furry writer. On that day I became a furry. In the later part of the year I wanted to build my own fursuit of Flint. He was to be debuted on June of 2012 at AM2 in Anaheim.

About my fursuit, it was built out of things from around my house, about 50 dollars worth.
I finished it just in time for Halloween of 2011. It looked very scary at first, after many modifications, I made a version 2 of Flint. My first furmeet was in 2012 during anime expo. Later on, I had OCD which threw a wench at my furry goals.
I recovered of course and started going to furmeet again just recently in fact around April of this year.
I also made a second fursuit. Which is better than the first.
Ive seen how the fandom was in the past. Very cute, and very exciting, I wanted to be a part of this fandom, I think ever since I've seen videos about it.

The fandom changed quite a bit over the last 5 years.
when many people had 480p camcorders vs the 4K cameras that they have now.
After my first meetups with the furries, I had a different perspective on the fandom.
It was no longer an internet only thing like I used to think.


At the time of writing this I haven't published any of my stories yet that featured my fursonas.

Joey Flint Presents is a short and sweet YouTube web series that I'm gonna start doing for now on. It's consist of me explaining things that I encountered in my day to day life. I also answer questions and answer them too.
Its kind of a travel blog also, where I hang out with my furry friends and would document the experience in it entirety.
I wanna also come up with a new logo for the webseries, that would one later as I make the Episodes.

Lets start off with the theme.

A Renaissance theme is most likely the coolest thing I've seen a convention do.

On to my con experience. It was pretty amazing I never actually been to these events before I always assume they're just small tiny places where people hang out and such but I realize it's a lot more than that. The new setting for this convention I think it's pretty good it gives us a lot more space to do stuff rather than a small dinky Hotel but since I never been there before this is the first time I experienced a new venue.
I'm no stranger to the Fairplex in Pomona since I've been there for the LA Fair few times.
I debuted my 2nd fursuit here during califur. Had both partial and fullsuit. I personally like the partial one because it gives me more freedom to move around rather than constrained and constricted with the full suit on plus it kind of makes me look kind of fat. And man oh man I got so much attention with it also. I had my picture taken by countless people,hell even OC Weekly showed up. I also happen to take photos at the event as well some of them look pretty darn amazing. Unfortunately I didn't know much about fursuiting étiquettes because it appears that I look like I have a rod stuck in my leg every time I walk somewhere at the convention. But Flint is still learning, after all this is his first event and hopefully I can improve on that. Corvin did a cool panel on Fursuit emote and posing. I did learn quite a bit of that.
I met new faces and some familiar faces.
I met Drago the dragon. He's seems like a cool guy.
I also met some Brandon Holt which he is a wolf. I owed him a furry badge so i handed it to him. He was pleased. He also gotten his very first furry wolf tail. Again, he is cool. I also met some of my acquaintances from earlier meetups, glad they made it too.
I've seen big names there. I was so happy that I got a hug with some of them. They more than made my day. My favorite part was the parade starting point overall. Never seen so many fursuiters in my life. Made my day also

A couple of things that I like to do better for next year:

1. Better management of my time.
This meant that I spent too much time in one place instead of going to another place that mattered.
I would like to have been at that party outside at the Fairplex during the Smash Brothers tournament.

2. Like I said earlier I had no etiquettes when it came to fursuiting. I looked kinda boring at times. I like to change that also.

I need to address that these things didn't hurt the experience but rather something I like to improve upon.

I had the opportunity to stay at the hotel but I felt like getting there by car on a daily basis seems fair since I live about 30 minutes away.

All in all it's an event that I like to go back again and have more fun at.
I like to thank my brother for taking a few pictures while I was in suit.
I hope to visit Califur 17 next year at Pomona.

Out of the shell at last. What I mean by this? Well, I'm finally done with me being a social hermit. I'm free to be myself
Back in 2012, I had OCD, which threw a curve ball in my plans I had. For 3 years, I couldn't do much with my furry life due to me worrying about everything. At this point of my life, I had to drop the things that I loved to do, drawing, taking photos, hanging out. I even had to drop out of college because of it.
Fortunately, I am receiving help for this disorder. After about 3 months of taking medication, I feel a lot different that I was before. Hopefully by June, I could shake off this OCD for good, leave it behind.
Right now, I'm mostly feeling creative again, I made another fursuit, based off the first one. I did pay more this time, rather than using terry cloth.

I'm also planning to draw once again, and be a lot more active on this site.
Also planning to visit more cons in the future, also visit more local furries.

I also had my hair shorten back in October 2015, I'm currently leaving it grow until its long again.
I also have a different taste in fashion.
Overall I feel the same way I felt back in July 2012.

been 4 years later, been a furry for a while now. Been a cheetah, later a writer, filmmaker, artist, photographer, now looking forward. Into the future, and hoping for the future to success.

I think the tourists that ventures through low earth orbit will be billionaires, then millionaires, then as soon as the 2050's, for us regular joes and furs, for the price of a new car, the realistic future, no hopes for space travel to come any sooner, plus I really wanna go to space, so badly.

During the prices of a balloon that goes to the edge of space, 75 grand
for the price of flying to space for 6 minutes, 250 grand
prices to the moon orbit 150 million
and to visit mars billions and billions
a similation would still be price, at 2500 dollars
might as well trick them instead, by going to the imax theaters at 12 dollars

I got no doubt that space tourism will be pricey for us, perhaps till then, I would go right away, hopefully before the 2050's

I will start next week, with the first of my fursona adventures, starting with the first panel, later 1 panel per week, and go on until the first chapter is done, then I will make more comics

Flint, Zoey, Joey, characters

I changed the name of this novel/comic to California 1: Venice

Pink might have her name changed to Zoey, and learned to draw curves, and changed the looks of the extra fursona featured in this comic, and wanted to have a chapter based on these fursonas getting interviewed for Flint's story (Within the Novel). Zoey might be a lifeguard or a swimmer, the other guys will have a role in Venice and some are travelers, by the 3rd week, I will have some character rosters.

Like I said, It's based off a few ideas that I had, I even got other people's fursonas playing a role in this story, if people want their fursona in this comic, message me, and I will find a spot in this comic/story

2. CHAPTER
This is where I gain courage.
At the beach

I wore a different shirt, something for today's surfing.
"Let's splash, do do do do do do, let's splash," sung Joey with a radio.
"I can't wait to surf, I want to get the full package, the full blast, the best and more."
Joey smiled, "yes, you got the hang of it, you will be a party animal by today, get your surfboard ready."
I got my swimsuit from a retail shop, cause I haven't planned to swim and I wanted to get my job finished, so I picked something with style, a flower pattern suit.
"Are you ready to swim today, Flint?"
"Yes, I am, got a new swimsuit from that shop, I got this surf board. I better get some sun glasses cause I could need them," I said.
Joey looked puzzled.
"Flint, you seem prepared, nobody likes getting ready, change that."
"I will change that, let's go."

Surfing seems hard at first, but I could learn in a few hours, if Joey can do it, why not me, a normal cheetah.
"You see, you swim into the beach, and wait for the wave, then stand on top and surf," Joey explained. "That's not so hard."
"Think again, Flint, a cheetah will make mistakes and fall, a wet cheetah dies, and never surf," Joey said.
"Bullshit, that doesn't happen," I said.
"Oh it does, you just don't know it yet."
"I think I'll do my best, I never believe in all of that death stuff," I said.
The tides are fine, but the people are using it.
What can we do, I don't know, just make it work.
"Hold on tight this will get rough, here it comes," Joey said.
The largest wave, I tried to set my feet on the board, but I failed, I feel, just like Joey said.

Beginner's luck Joey has, he was surfing with loads of confidant.

"How did I do?" Joey asked.
"I want to be you, please!" I said.
"He he, finally, that's what I want to hear, okay then, try your surf again."


1:26 PM

I ate a burger, Joey got the Californian pizza which was a pizza with ham and pineapple, he loves things that shines and I will to. "You eat that burger, you are nothing more than a nerd" Joey remarked. "Really? Just because I like burgers better?" I asked.
"Yes, burgers are food for the ones with rules, live like me, leave that burger shit be."

2:19 PM

We went to the store to find some clothes to wear. I got dressed in my shiny gold shirt with no buttons, why? Cause Joey thinks that bottom shirt was for nerds or something, wearing something flattering like a gold t-shirt would help it.
"Where's my Flint?" "I am here, what do you think?"
Joey looked at me, then laughed, "You look really stupid, wear something funny, like...a hula skirt." "Hula skirt, what? For reals? I thought this was good enough" I said.
"Come on, Flint. This is gold, just try it, you will love it."
"Okay, if you want, I'll try."
I had no choice, be a nerd, or be like Joey.

"What do I look?" I asked.
Joey smiled, "Yes! I like this new change, you have penitential of being cool, just go with this change and in a few days, a new Flint."
A grass skirt and flowers could be a key to overcome my shyness and become someone else, a guy.
Joey came out from the dressing room, looking someone else, like himself.
"What are you doing, Joey. You said you will dress like me."
"I am, later, I want to see you in your skirt. You will get all of the eyes on you" Joey said.
We walked out with this new plan by Joey, he ensured me that I can be a different guy with dancing apparel , but I am not going to dance, I am walking down this street. Neon colors t-shirt,s but no hulas in site. Swimsuits, but not a flower necklace, I want out, I can't take this.
“You look more likeable more like a guy I would go with,” Joey said.

"I want out." "Hang on, there. You look battering, just give it some time, you will come to enjoy it."

Joey then reached for a camera.
"Say cheese, I want your good side."
I posed for him, felt like running.
"Over to the left, now the right, a little to the middle, there. That wasn't so hard, you look great."
Joey then gave the thumbs up, meaning he was happy with that shot.
"Can I take this shit off yet?" I asked.
"Are you kidding me? You look nice, 10 more takes, then something else."
Poses that uses my hip and legs, showing off my body, but why? The internet I will find out.
"Whoops, no film in this camera, better try all of this again."
"WHAT?! No! forget this I can not take this anymore, I don't know how you do it, you seem to be better than I am." "That's a self centered you, hang on tight, you'll make it, by the way, hot girls at 2 o' clock."
"WHERE!?" "Got him at his vulnerable side."
After a while of wearing something that shows everything, I took it off.
"That was a fun 3 minutes of your life, how do you feel?" Joey asked.
"I hate it. You have the balls to do anything, I want that, but I can not."
"Let me show you the real me," Joey said.
Soon he wore it, best show, the likings of a girl. He done it.
He knows all of the moves, the bravery, everything.
"There, that's how to have fun," Joey said.
"Yeah, I like to try again, I will not become a stale cheetah."
I had to balls to try this again, with Joey at the hut, I danced a bit. Luckily this time nobody was here, I was alone. "Yes, you are doing it, I am watching your every move, your belly," Joey said as he sipped on a coconut.
“If a coconut can, if I would like to see a more, let the world wide know,” Joey sung.
I got the moves, about noon I gotten people to take pictures and poses.
Venice Beach is reminiscence of people in the 1960’s, the moment of “freedom” was everywhere on the sands. I looked the part, with the make up, the clothes, the interleague behavior with the natives, Joey is the one that understands their kind. Pink seems like Joey’s friends, I was learning from the master himself, learning the act like these people. It’s working , better get my camera ready, because Joey is about to hula.
He’s in the type that masters this sort of dance, it’s in his blood, his heart, his will, and so on, gets me pumped, to see him in some of his moves. “Looking good, there.”
“You think, Flint? I think I am, hehe, you should try this, it’s really fun.”
“Okay, If you want to.”
I did a round of hula with this guy, felt much better off with this way other than being alone out there.

I got 5 novels I'm working on, they are part of one huge story.
Starting with the first novel, Pink (working title)
Starts off with Pink Fitzgerald, going out into the woods and survive, the next story starts off with a human, he turns out to become the mayor of the city, soon he gets involved with saving a race of cheetahs, which Flint is part of.
It's all being worked, soon you'll see more info.

I'm also going to AX 2014, still working on cosplays, Spike the Dragon and Discord.

Beachside story is changed a bit, it's about the Californian Beaches and the great things about the side, There's more to it.
