I have to admit there have been a lot of hurdles lately, and now after being with IP for over 6 years, We go though another shift. I do hope you all get to enjoy Lichfang's style, I ask that you keep an open mind, and know that Cats n Cameras is it's own project, Please respect the artist, and everyone involved with CnC. I know it's going to be hard on me mentally, and it'll take quite a bit to get Lichfang and I on a more synced thought process, but he's a professional trained storyboard artist, so I have no doubt that'll happen sooner than later. I look forward to bringing a few long absent female characters back for this chapter, as well as move the Jim and Fred storyline along.. I know Jim is light on back story that's been published, so I'm gonna type this up, post it here, and a few other places if I can eventually, but here is why he can't just "bounce back" from what Fred did.. Jim didn't grow up with a dad none, so Fred was the only positive male influence in his life, the few boyfriends his mother had were never really accepting of HIM except as a boundary or nuisance to their relationship. So, he gravitated towards Fred at an early age. So yeah, the Mister Rogers stuff may have been a bit trying at times, but it was something that helped him cope, and it was never done maliciously. Fred's seen a bit of what Jim did to get where he is, but as a doctor, it's not like he had a lot of time to dedicate to someone elses kid.. He tried mind you , but there's a limit.. So when someone who is the one strong point in your life says... "I have no confidence in you and what you're trying to do, and I think what you're saying is nonsense." it hurts... and it hurts a LOT.. It's not an easy thing to "Bounce back" from.. And of course it's going to eat in the back of his mind. I just... you all have to realize time isn't exactly passing by quickly in strip either, in Jim's eyes this has all happened inside of a week... I'm sorry I can't convey this better, but we're limited in what I can do on a weekly strip.

Every so often I’ll poke through my watchers list. Somewhat surprised and all the ! Suspended folks. Like jeeze what did you do? But it’s seeing ∞ that always hurts the most. The people who aren’t there anymore. I know a few as I go though the list that should have one but don’t , I wouldn’t even know how to go about fixing that. I miss you all, even if we never conversed. Those of you around to read this, Know that I appreciate you all, I’m grateful for you enjoying what I get to make with the artists I work with. It wouldn’t be nearly as fun with out you all. I’ve got some good friends on the ∞ list. People I grew up with , people who supported the comic. People whose characters live on in cnc for as long as I can keep it going ( miss you duneari Crypt is forever safe ) and a few others. I know our time in the world is short. Thank you for letting me a part of yours.

You know, I always thought it was fun, and somewhat enjoyable to put my friends characters in my strip, (with their permission of course) . But as I sit here writing content for the comic, I realize, I matter significantly less than any of them , regardless of how long I've been at this, or tried to work with the community, be part of it, do anything.. I feel like I'm just forcing the issue. Sorry for disappointing you all. I'll try my best not to do so any more.

Sorta clearing the last journal, All pre-orders have been shipped for the pins, most have already been delivered a few international hold outs.. And for some reason Canada?? Like... I mean they made it to ENGLAND faster than Canada :P Anywho, we also released a few sticker packs. As of today we also released a new one as well with Jim, Lana, Jessi, and Bella. Managed to keep sticker shipping low, they also don't add anything to pin orders. We're moving right along in this chapter it's been fun. I know a LOT of you have been waiting for the Svetlana/Jim Portfolio, but before now it would have had to have been pretty forced in the storyline to make it work. By the end of this chapter it will be set up, and Iron Potato has been hard at work drawing it up for you all! We're also considering doing an Enamel Pin to celebrate it's launch as well :P (I mean the anniversary one went well, so I'm not nearly as worried about doing more.) We're getting prepped for our next convention in March of 2024 which is Texas Furry Fiesta in Dallas so if you're attending there, please do come say "Hi" to me in the Dealers den.. I was debating doing an Enamel Pin Celebrating our 15th Anniversary, Probably Sari, Or Josie... Since they're the two longest running characters in the strip. Also trying to figure out numbers and costs.. How many of you would even be interested in one?

When Cats 'n Cameras started way back in 2008 , even people who were part of TJA at the time didn't think it would last a year. Back then it was started as a way to advertise the hosting/gallery page at TJA. It quickly out grew that. Back when V.Kyrie/K.V1nna started this with me, there wasn't places like Patreon or SubscribeStar to help us along. That stayed true through a long period of time. The comic itself supported by sales of the portfolio's and side arcs making it somewhat difficult to properly compensate the artists of the strip for a while but we managed.

Speaking of which, I've worked with so many artists since then. V, Zeroseven, Jim Hardiman, 3T, Chetdog (aka ringtail cafe) , Mackey, TehZee, Shockley, Aunumwolf, MonkeyCheese, and now Iron Potato. We're 580 strips in!! Like.. wow.. 14 years of strips (3 1/2 at prom yeah yeah I know) It's sort of a bit crazy. We have a few side projects holding some forward movement back at the moment, but considering in 580 strips we've moved maybe 10 months in strip time , that'll be changing here in the near future. I know I need to touch on a few characters that have fallen by the wayside, and I will do that here as well. It's hard when some characters have been lost, others stories not always meshing with the current narrative, or just an over all lack of time in a weekly strip.

I can't express enough how none of this would happen with out you! The supporters , readers, and even the critics of the comic who've pushed me to continue and attempt to develop the strip from just another porn comic to something way more than that. I have so many future stories planned, the trick is getting to them , as well as keeping it interesting for all of you. Some of you have been with us from the beginning and wow, I thank you for that, cause there have been some questionable times in the strip/story LOL! But here we are 14 YEARS later. The world is crazy right now, and I don't know what will happen with each coming day, But thanks to you all there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the love, support, and generosity you've all shown me and the people who help bring you the strip each week, we couldn't do it with out you.

Sorta came across this when trying to do something fun for someone I thought I put in as a cameo during the prom chapter, and it turns out they never even GOT the cameo they paid for. If I've done this to you, And your character was left out of what turned into a 3 1/2 year chapter (sorry). Please let me know, as I'd very much like to make it right. Between 4 artists, and the length of time, and honestly my bad management, things slipped between the cracks. Nothing was done on purpose I promise you. So if I've left you or your character out of a cameo you very much paid for, get in contact with me asap!

So after reading a lot of comments about Jim and Fred , I felt I needed to touch on this a bit, as I clearly haven't put enough of it into the story for it to be understood as something that isn't malicious. So to a lot of us growing up in the 80's and 90's Mr. Rogers neighborhood was something we grew up with. Now Fred Rogers the man, was the savior of children's TV back then. He single-handedly saved PBS's funding during a congressional hearing. He would address different children's worries during his show. At one time a girl who was blind wrote him a letter , since Mr. Rogers would feed his fish at the end of every episode, but he never said that he did, she was worried they weren't being fed... For the rest of his shows run, he would always say out loud, that he was feeding his fish so that wouldn't happen again. In the years since his passing not ONE bad thing has ever come to light. I mean his wife's strangest memories was how he would break long uncomfortable silences with a fart.. cause... I mean farts are funny. So, bare in mind that CnC happens in an alternate "furry/human" reality, but in the end it pulls from my life, and my childhood, some part of it more painfully based on real life events then others. So Jim the cheetah would have grown up in a similar time, with a similar man (still human) on TV, and grown to respect him, as so many other children did. So when he calls Dr. Rogers , who is indeed named Fred Rogers , Mr. Rogers, yes it's in jest, but not in disrespect. But it is in relation to his also fond memories of the only close (and not on tv) male role model he ever had in his life. He's not doing it to belittle Fred. He never has... I know I never touched a lot on Jim growing up with Fred, or in general.. Artist changes, script modifications, and lack of time put a damper in a lot of things over the past 12 years.. I just needed to touch on this, sorry for droning on and on. But hopefully if things work out in the story. We'll get to see some of that.. If not, at least now you know.

I've had to look back on some old strips for reference and story continuity ,and looking back at previous strips and the 15-25 comments per strip down to ... 1 or 2 now.. I don't quite know how much more of this I care to do. I'm sorry to have failed most of you in maintaining your interest, or driving you away with a joke or two. I realize not all creators thrive on the responses and thoughts of others, but for me it sure helps. Everyone makes missteps along the way. Apparently I've made too many. I honestly don't know where to proceed from here. I have chapter 12 roughly planned out. It'll touch on 1 main arc and 3 smaller arcs to keep things from stagnating too much. I know ironpotato has done some great work in bringing people back . I know it's a tough time for everyone... I just don't know what else to say anymore.
