Hello Again.

There's been much time that has passed since I was last here. During that time I have cycled through so many versions of me. I have learned a lot about myself that has evolved my entire view of what it means to live. So much so, that all semblances of me visible to the public eye do not reflect who I am right now. I want to move forward with true honesty in what I believe, and I want all my actions to reflect my heart. As such, I have made decisions about what I wish to proceed allowing in my life. And all my decisions have been thoroughly considered before taking action. I will only engage in what brings me joy. For this purpose, these decisions will be in effect immediately:

1) All currently existing comic projects and stories are cancelled.

Thank you all sincerely for your support and enjoyment. I have loved each and every project I have worked on. But I now realize these are not my stories to tell. I am giving it all up to start completely new. The next work I create will be wholly and completely myself.

I will leave the comics uploaded online to be enjoyed, but I will be deleting the incomplete Lovesick Strays chapter 3 pages so as to leave 2 complete chapters.


2) My secondary account  ylang-ylang-tang is now deleted.

I want to thank my secondary account for providing the space I needed to have fun during a tumultuous time and being able to address my wounded sexuality with playfulness.


3) I am ending all sonas.

It is with great love and joy that I release all of my sonas. To Noodles, Ami and Iam, Yun, Jun, and Alychrim, thank you for everything, and for being the mediums in which to learn more about and express myself. I am able to move forward now in just being me, and no longer need a character to play as me. All my sonas will always have a special place in my heart.






I will continue to remain inactive online for some time still, but I will be gradually reorganizing and cleaning up my online spaces for when I am ready to return. I do not know yet how I'll wish to proceed with this account when I return, but I'll leave that decision to be made when that time comes. Until then, thank you all who have watched and supported me, and please take care of yourselves ~<3

Welp hello thar! Turns out I accidentally went up and died on here for a while haha. I have a good reason for that. And uh... that is I started roleplaying with a friend and that took up my entire life loool So I'm gradually going to get myself back on track as I'm going back to work soon... Not sure about comic project plans yet but will update on here when I do. BUT! I do have a ton of art on back load thanks to this and excited to share these rping adventures. Unfortunately most of that will be going up on my secondary account which I guess is now going to be a NSFW/RP account now hahaha oh well. Once again I am writing this with an ice pack to my back but i have updates!

Firstly, I know i was kinda just casually talking abt what was going on but I wanna thank those who responded with concern and support and the uh... much appreciated nudge to go get my issue checked out. Hahaha

Admittingly I did wait much longer than I should to go to a doc cuuzzz Covid19 anxieties (and it just never seemed serious enough???)! But yeah after realizing it's almost a month already and my home efforts ain't stopping it so i think that's enough reason to go.

So yeah long story short to no one's surprise I did pull a muscle. Which sucks cuz that actually takes a long time to heal. Good news is seems like I was on the right track already with some of the stuff I was doing like wih the stretching and icing. And I was given a regiment to start on with a scheduled heat/ice routine as well as some steroids and pain killers to help relax it. Also went out to get some more lidocaine patches and a support to correct my posture so I think I am prepared and good to go baby! We gonna heal this bitch! ahahaha

So with that being my new priority Yeeeah Imma have to rly limit computer time. I am not gonna say I'm going on an art hiatus cuz i damn well just KNOW the moment i say that I'll probably be like "oh well imma just go do this art now cuz i feel like it" i think after how many years living wih myself I'm finally wising up to my own bullshit haha So really... it's gonna be a whatever i feel like happening as it always is xD But who knows maybe we'll see the return of more traditional art media cuz it's a lot less stress on me.

Ah.. I am bored and writing this from my bed with an ice pack to my back shoulder that has been ongoing strainpain?? for like 3 weeks now. Because of that I haven't been able to draw much, or have to take it A LOT slower. Been trying to take care of it thru stretching and exercise, massaging and medicated patches an all. But it is persistent and maybe gettig worse as im not even drawing but somehow the way I'm sittig in front of my computer constantly aggravates it.

It's not terrible or unmanageable. Doing what I can at home but uh... hm contemplating the idea of seeing a chiropractor.

In light of all the con cancellations, I decided to bring the con to you! Or at least my "online booth" so to speak. So in place of Zenkaikon this weekend, I will be hosting Jude-Con (eeey that's my name in case you were wondering xD since I didn't write my username in the promotional banner haha)! A one-day commission streaming event!

Commissions will be digital character bust sketches (colored or b/w depending on reference). To participate in the event, I will put a google form you will need to submit as well as payment to my paypal

The form will go live on Friday Mar 20th at 1pm. For 24hrs before the event, you can preorder a commission at a $10 rate. After 1pm on Saturday during the event, the commission price will be $15. Please keep this in mind as I will be checking time stamps, and if you submit the wrong payment amount, I will refund your payment and ask that you submit the form again. (so you'll miss your place in the commission order that I receive them in.)

I'll draw fanart or OCs, human/anthropormorphic/animal. Sorry, no Mecha/Robots and no NSFW. Pls give image references only as I will not have time to read written descriptions.

So yesterady, I've received news that the con I was supposed to attend next week got cancelled due to public safety concerns over COVID-19. While this is unsurprising with a whole slew of events getting cancelled left and right, this is still a pretty big financial blow for me as I was depending on this convention for a buffer to help make up for last month and support for rent and bills without draining my savings. I'm now gonna turn my efforts from con work to commissions, so if anyone has been interested in commissioning me, this would be a most helpful time for me to do so.

Kinda casually tossing around the idea of trying my hand at adoptables again? (I did it exactly 1 time a long while ago ahahaha)

Mostly for fun, with every time I see a cool animal I'm like "How can I translate this beautiful creature into an anthropormorphic design???" Might be a fun thing to doodle on the side during dry seasons, as well as a way to kinda ease myself into drawing a bit more often again (still kinda working through the Long Creative Hibernation. It's lightening up now but still don't feel ready to dive right back into projects, and keeping drawing to a limited easy pacing). And hey can't deny I need to make up for a lot of last month's costs and have a bit of catch-up to do. If this is another viable option that people might be interested in, win-win all around right? haha

My questions for y'all:
-Would you be interested at all if I made adoptables?
-Do you have a preference for individual single characters? Or a selection from different variations of a single base?
-Do you prefer something with a surprise element like egg adoptables?
And any other opinions or observations you might have.

I can't really say what exactly would be my go-to adoptable style yet, I can say I specialize more in humanoid/anthropormorphic designs and I mostly like scaley/reptilian/aquatic creatures so that's most likely what I would focus on (cuz it makes me happy lol). Greetings to those following and reading this! I'd just like to take a moment to be candid about where I am at right now and what is going on. There's been some things I've been dealing with in my personal life that have taken a side-effect toll on my creative art sector. And it has been going on for a while already with my lack of motivation to touch any of my current comic projects or drawing much in general, but I was trying to see if I can wait it out. However it hasn't abated yet and I think it's time I made it official to take a hiatus from my comic projects, and patreon as well, while I take the time to properly address and focus on my own mental health and well being without the stress of having to keep on top of work progress or not putting out enough work.

Good news being that since these particular issues aren't directly related to the art, I'm confident about being able to return once things start lightening up. And rest assured I am getting help so I'm doing alright.

I will try to finish at least another one or two pages for Lovesick Strays. But after that I will have to put it on hold (again. Oh man this poor LS chapter has been coming across so many road blocks :'> ) I will also be temporarily closing my patreon before the end of the month so that no one will get charged when the next month rolls around. Unfortunately at this time I can't say for how long yet this will last (because you can't really put a schedule to these things), but I want to thank everyone for their patience and support. I really appreciate it. Thank you for believing in me and my work.

Hey y'all! Just uploaded a triple page update. Thanks for waiting so patiently as I chug along ahaha

I admit the progress thru this chapter is gonna be a bit of an uphill struggle as it seems I'm kinda going thru a burnout period after a 3 month marathon working on my other comic (and I even thought I could do both projects at once HAHAHA WOW)

So I will be continuing to take it slow so as to not aggravate further burnout. But I hope y'all hang in there with me and look forward to new pages :3

With starting streaming commissions, figured I should put the rules down. Not sure where else to put it, so putting all the Commission Terms and Conditions here for ppl's reference and so I can link to this later.

STREAMING / DIGITAL COMMISSIONS ON PICARTO – TERMS AND CONDITIONS


Rules:
-Come join, have a fun chat, No Hate Speech. Any bigotry, sexist, homo/trans/queerphobic, racist etc talk will not be tolerated.
-Please no link dropping or self-promos.
-Commissions must be ordered before streaming. (If there are no commissions lined up, I may accept commissions during streaming.)
-Commissions must be paid in full before any work will be started. Additional fees accrued must be paid upon completion before the final file is delivered.
-Full refunds are only given if commissioner no longer wants to commission BEFORE any work has been started. Any work done may be subjected to partial to no refund depending on the work done and will be charged the commission rate of however much of the work was completed.
-Commissioners may request up to 2 major changes that still reflect the original idea while the work is in progress. Additional changes requested will be charged an extra fee depending on complexity. I will try work with the commissioner to schedule streaming of their commission with a time they are available. If commissioner isn't available to view while streaming, they will still be given a chance for viewing the sketch phase of the work for any changes before the work is brought to ink/finish.

Rights:
-Commission price includes a high resolution file of the artwork that may be used or edited for personal enjoyment only. Artwork may not be sold for profit, or reposted without credit.
-All rights to the art remain with the artist unless transferred with expressed written permission, and may be used for advertisement purposes or reproduced for sale. All character rights remain with their respective owners.

Finally getting some downtime to update about what's going on.

I recently moved and have been taking care of setting things up, getting thwarted by unexpected flea infestation, dealing with infestation, gettin new job, and setting up anything else to start a new life on my own. Not everything is set up how I'd like it yet but i'm going to start work again soon on my comic projects (whether EoA, LS or both) as well as working on some new illustration content for my comics and upcoming cons.

Speaking of which, I have updated the cons that I'm officially approved for so far. Have a look on my main page for that.

Also, more good news: I plan to start streaming commissions soon on Picarto! Don't know when I'll officially start as I'm still trying to get a hang of my schedules, but I plan to host an open streaming for anybody to come join in and watch, and then if people like what they see I'll open up commission slots for the next session.
