Badge Commissions!
Posted 17 years agoHey all! I just wanted to let you know that I am willing to do a few more badge commissions, if anybody is interested?
A badge commission includes: A hand drawn badge, inked and coloured of your character, with your name on the badge, the badge itself will be professionally laminated, and will come with a black lanyard for you to wear it around your neck.
Please refer here to an example of a badge I have done (It was my first one ever): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1385692/
If you are interested, please let me know through a comment or a note and we will work out the details from there.
I am going through a rough time, financially and emotionally right now, and I find working on drawings helps me to make my way through it. I thought opening my convention badge commissions would be a good way to do this.
I would be pleased to work with you.

Dreams of the Recluse
Posted 17 years agoSometimes I wonder if the events of day to day life are all that there are. There are times that I wake from my sleep in the early morning hours, and I wonder if the lucid fantasies that have passed before my mind's eye don't hold a reality of their own.
It comes to a point where being identified as Indigo would be such a relief. To know that other children suffer this same plague as I have, and their feelings of destination are not just the final flight of whimsy, amongst a dying world.
This is not my story to tell.
In fact, I'll wake alone, and pretend that I am finally home.
A lonely, shivering victim in the early morning hours, my dreams fade away, and I am once again made to face the day. I want to scream and cry. I want to pretend that these memories of monotony are not my own. I want to pretend that I will wake up from this, and that there will be heroes. And villains. And creatures that exist within this world of illusion that far surpass what I could dream up on my own.
How did I end up here to begin with? I don't know. Why do I start what I can't finish? Please don't barrage me with the questions to all of those ugly answers.
Well, maybe I don't want to finish anything, anymore.
Oh Christ, I'm not that desperate.
Oh, no. Oh, God...
I am.

Horror Movie Rant
Posted 17 years agoDear Hollywood and Other Movie Districts,
We get it. 13 year olds think that little girls with long black hair are creepy. But guess what? For the adult audience who might actually care about the content of their movies, they are not.
Bringers of death and curses or not, they aren't creepy, so STOP USING THEM. They are lame.
I'm looking at you too, Japan, for your over use of this now common cliche. STOP IT. I can't even keep them straight anymore, they're all the same. boring, lame, and least of all, scary.
No love,
Chernobyl.
P.S.: This blog was brought to you by Throbbing Gristle's song, "We Hate You, Little Girls". Fitting, isn't it?

Over My Head
Posted 17 years agoSo, basically, I feel like a real mess right now.
Emo rant. Uh oh.
In that movie that I watched, Someone Behind You, a certain tagline stood out. "Someone is always bound to be hurt." That's how I feel right now. About everything. To put it easily, I don't feel good enough. At all.
Sometimes I feel as if I'm in a relationship that's doomed due to circumstances beyond our control. Which hurts so much, since I really do love Cody. I wish I could have a guarantee on us. He really does mean the world to me, and he's my best friend.
What terrifies me even more is that people whom I love in one way or another...they're all going away. I used to have a group of good ol' raindogs, but we're lucky if we talk anymore. I miss them. A lot. And you know what's the worst? Knowing that although I appreciated and loved each and every person I was close to, I also know that I took it all for granted.
I was thinking about a friend from highschool today. Although I was older than he by a year, he had a lot more maturity, it seemed. I was a huge supporter of his, and just wanted to see him succeed. Through out the university year we would text once in a while, but I texted him maybe a week or so ago, to no reply.
I don't know if he remembered me or not. Or if the text went through. Or if he even wanted to respond, anymore. It's so strange to follow in the light that tags on somebody's heels for so long, and all of a sudden, you realize you've hit a brick wall.
I'm wondering if I should try to text him again?
In other news, I had a discussion with a friend. It was a rather interesting discussion, but I feel that they might have come out of it a little hurt.
Why can't it ever be easy?
Oh, I also have what seems to be a mosquito bite on my scalp. Lovely.
So, if anybody actually read to the end of my emo rant, I would appreciate it if you could offer some advice. I know I've been incredibly vague, but yeah. Should I text the friend from highschool again?

Tell Me How to Breathe and I Will Make It So...
Posted 17 years agoDue to the stupid FA outtage, I couldn't get about to sending the one commission I've done as soon as I'd have liked (couldn't see my PMs to get the addy) and sort out details. With an upcoming job as well, I am SO stressed.
So stressed infact, that I want to revert to spiking my hair to stab random people in this small town, in their eyes.
Random Hick Boy: *approaches from behind* "Hey, hottie. Wanna see my tractor?"
Me: "GTFO!"
Random Hick Boy: "You know what they say about saving a horse."
Me: "I said GTFO." *leans back and stabs random hick boy in the eye with the sheer amount of spikes*
Speaking of hair, I'm revamping Chernobyl's feral appearance. New piercings, moar makeup and MOAR HAIRZ. So, to anybody who wants to tackle fan art (which I would love you for, btw), may God have mercy on your souls. And hands.
I'm working on a conbadge for myself at the very moment, to de-stress, since I loved how the one I just did on commission turned out.
Also, my memories of Disney need to GTFO, because everytime I draw Chernobyl lately, she looks like she waltzed out of Fox and the Hound. Currently trying to do her mess of hair, she looks like a fox who stole Simba's mane.
CRY MOAR EMO-ARTIST.
.....Sephiroth's theme needs to stop playing so loudly on my iPod and thus stop making my ears bleed epically.
Unless you've no heart, you'd love my life. It's a tornado, a hurricane.
Yes, we are terrible for each other, and yes, we are a disaster, but tell me that your heart doesn't race for a hurricane, or for a burning building.
I'd rather die terrified than to live forever. After all, mistakes aren't always regrets.

Darkness On The Edge of Town
Posted 17 years agoI'm really starting to wonder why I can't have normal dreams, like most people. Mind you, I'd never change it, but I digress. So, of course, I had a long nap this afternoon ( a good four hours, really ), and had another very strange and detailed dream.
The dream started off that I was dreaming that I was asleep and dreaming. If that makes any sense, whatsoever. It was all dark around me, and very foggy. I was watching my dream self sleep, and an angelic looking man was standing next to my bed. He leaned down by my ear, moving some hair out of my face and whispered "I'll come to you, when it's all over."
From that point onward, the dream was seen through my eyes as if I were experiencing it and not just watching it like a movie. I found myself waking up in bed, in a beautiful house. It wasn't a HUGE house, but it was very nice. Apparently, I was married to a man and we lived in that house, in a small village.
The man I was married to was tall, with a very thin build, like a runner's body although it appeared he was very strong as well. He looked a lot like the angelic man from when I had been asleep, with pale, white skin and delicate facial features and dark, stormy eyes. He had long hair, pulled back into a loose braid, with strands of hair falling over his face as he sat at the table, writing. In the early morning light, his hair was an indeterminate colour other than it was light in colour.
He looked up, with a smile and commented how I was up early. I told him how I felt like I needed to be up, like something was going to happen. He agreed, turning to stare out the window and told me how the darkness at the edge of town was growing. The darkness was a great wooded area to the north of our town, where it seemed something dwelled and anybody who went there became infected with a great evil, of anger and hatred. It usually fed on them until they either died of sickness or committed suicide, and so nobody ever ventured there.
It seems that a small child had wandered into the darkness the night before, and although "innocent" souls usually couldn't be harmed, somebody would have to venture into that area to find the lost child. I got a bad feeling, but he got to his feet and told me he had to run some errands. I tried to object, fearing he was going to go try to find the child, but he kissed my forehead and said he would be back soon.
I felt paralyzed as he went outside and I heard his motorcycle pull away. He hadn't put away his writing, so I decided to read it, curious as to what he had been writing. The paper read;
"Kassaundra, I'll come to you when it's all over. I will come back, I promise. - Six" (Apparently, my mind doesn't make up names very well...)
I knew right then that I needed to stop him, and rushed out to my motorcycle, following the back alleyways to the North end of town. The whole time, I feared I was too late to stop him, which was confirmed as I got to the wooden stairs that lead to the plateau. His motorbike sat by the foot of the stairs and there was no sign of him anywhere.
People were beginning to gather when a small child emerged from the forest and ran to his mother's arms. Another form slowly made his way out, and I ran to him.
"Six!" I cried out. Six's hair had fallen out of the loose braid, and now cascaded down over his back and shouders. He seemed badly injured and something was different about his eyes. Evil was rising in him, I could tell. He collapsed into my arms, exhausted. "You came back." I said softly.
"I promised."
He reached to a pouch he had on his hip, which held a long dagger and handed it to me, knowing that I knew he was infected with the darkness and I'd have to end his life, so he wouldn't suffer with it and go insane.
"Please..."
They sky had turned a dark grey as I ended Six's life, and as he died in my arms, it began to rain a warm rain all around us.
That was pretty much the extent of the dream. I woke up just after that, and that was all.

Commissions Open
Posted 17 years agoSo, I'm opening up commissions so that I can actually afford the apartment that I'm moving into for school. I'm waiting for word back from a job I had an interview for, so just incase, I really would like to make some extra money.
These are tough times I be living in.
So, here are my proposed prices for one character. This is for a full body picture, one character, no background. HOWEVER, I will be willing to do badges or more than one character. We'll work out prices then, okie dokes?
* Pencils: $5
* Black and White: $10-$15
* Color: $15-$20
And I do paypal. Actually, that's all I do right now. But I'm just getting started out. Please let me know. :)

Project Altered Art/Book - PLEASE READ
Posted 17 years agoHey everybody on my F-List! I'm taking on an artistic challenge this summer, which goes a little something like this:
I'm looking at doing something along the lines of an altered book or collage boards (I would love to do these, to put up in my apartment!) or both to pass my time and reduce stress over the summer, seeing as I have less than adequate time to do so during the school year!
Seeing as I don't buy many magazines, AND I want to make this as much about my friends on and offline as possible, I want to give you all a chance to be a part of this art project.
Basically what I would like is for you to (if you want to, of course) collect things that I could add to my art. A picture of you, a little note saying hi, a doodle, a clipping of something to represent you out of magazines, any cool art work that you can find in magazines, all of that fun stuff.
Once you have those things and want to contribute, please comment on this or send me a note with your e-mail address . I will then e-mail you my mailing address for you to send the clippings, pictures, etc to.
Every person who contributes will most likely get their own page, or if I choose to do decorative boards, will be credited somewhere on it.
Oh, and nice letters are love too, if you'd like to write me one, explaining why you chose said pictures, or just to say hi. I should have enough time to write you all back!

Yesterday's Adventure.
Posted 17 years agoCrispin Glover premiers his film "What Is It" in Hamilton at the Casbah this Sunday. I want to go again, so badly. That clearly shows how amazing the show in Toronto was. Seriously, if anybody can go to it, I urge you to for your own sakes. I also urge you to kidnap me and take me, too. *shifty eyes*
Anyways, onto what went on. Trevor and I got to go around Toronto to the different shops which was hella fun. We ate at this really good asian place. Mmm.
We had quite the adventure dealing with street cars and finally we got to the theatre. We got in no problem, and ended up running into George Stroumboulopoulos. He remembered me basically right away, and I introduced him to Trevor. He was so nice to us and even offered some of his popcorn to us.
We went in and took our seats. About ten minutes later, Crispin made his appearance on stage. He was in a very lovely suit, with long hair and a beard. His slideshow consisted of 8 of his books, all of which I felt were wonderfully surreal and beautiful. His theatrical readings really pull in the audience.
Next was the film, which is as sinister and philosophical as it is beautiful. It's a wonderful experience to see his work. i had to go to the washroom halfway through the movie, so I got up and did so. I was in a rush to come back to my seat, but I did run into Crispin and said hello.
The question and answer period was really awesome and insightful. You could tell that he really has a passion for his work. There were so many interesting points brought up during the discussion. I wanted to ask a question, but didn't get the chance.
The autograph session in the lobby was pretty awesome. We stood in line for about 45 minutes, and I bought all of the three books and I got one for Trevor as well. When we got to speak to Mr. Glover, he was the kindest, softed spoken man I've ever spoken to. I got a picture with him, and upon finding out it was my birthday, he wrote happy birthday on each thing that I got autographed.
I told Crispin that his work and his characters had really gotten me through some rough times, and thanked him for his work. He seemed genuinely concerned about what I had to say and asked what roles and how I felt they had inspired me. I also thanked him for crediting his audience with so much respect, and I said that I felt that we commend movies if they make us laugh or cry, feel one of those emotions; but his work needed to be commended for the whole spectrum emotions that they portray.
Upon rechecking my books and everything, Crispin noticed he had spelled my name with a C instead of a K and looked visibly worried that I'd be offended and apologized. i thought that was so nice of him.
Before we left, I got a hug and he thanked us for coming and wished me a happy birthday.
So, in all, the night was awesome. Crispin Glover is truly a highly intelligent man with a passion for what he does. He is sweet, kind, and a real joy to speak to. I would say that he is all in all a real gentleman.
It seemed that Trevor really enjoyed the show too, and I was so glad that he got to experience it. I'd recommend it to anybody who likes artistic or creative works, independent film and a great deal of free thought and interpretation.
Beautiful work, amazing day.

New Characters In The Works
Posted 17 years agoHey all,
I'm on a creative upswing; with a creepy edge to it. That being said, I've been developing ideas for two new characters with more of a creepy edge to them. The best part; I'm doing one of each gender. That means two. Yay.
The female has a name. I'm not giving it away until I unveil her. So, we'll just call her the female for now.
The male on the other hand, I'm going to need some suggestions for names, because I am so stumped.
Both will most likely be canine once again, but that may be subject to change, or they may have other forms.
So, if you have any ideas for a name that would suit a creepy, mysterious male character, do feel free to suggest them, and maybe that'll give me something to work with. =D
Thanks!

Grah
Posted 17 years agoYou know, it takes a lot to get me overly frustrated when it comes to artwork, but this just pissed me off. Majorly.
I love art, I love drawing, and I love my style. If I think a work in progress is turning out well, I will show my Mum and Step Dad, to get their opinion on the progress and ask if there is anything I should change.
I'm thinking of limiting this only to my Mum now.
I was working on an anthro-wolf version of the Thin Man from Charlie's Angels, just to blow off steam from finally being done university for the summer and for my friend Loren. I had to pass it to Phil (Step-Dad) so he could see it, before he passed it on to my Mum. It went a little something like this:
Me: "Uhm, I wanted to show you guys something that I was working on last night. It's by far not even close to being done, but you know..." (At this point, I pased it to Phil)
Phil: "...It's a dog."
Me: "Uhm...yeah. You know that's my style..."
Phil: "It's a dog person. Why do you draw them? You should stop drawing these, and draw actual people. I mean, I GUESS it's good, as far as ... dog-people go."
Fuck. You. Fucking holier than thou, judgemental bastard.

Forging On With Lovely Eye.
Posted 17 years agoDue to anal rententive rules, the "LOVELY EYE" series of motivational posters have been destroyed. Erm. Taken Down.
Because apparently I didn't make the images in the Lovely Eyes, they're being torn down, so this is my proposed plan. I'm going to post them on Photobucket and post them in my journal.
If you make one, please feel free to send me a link to it!

Oh, and FA, this is very hypocritical for a site that was supposedly spawned to give haven to mostly poorly drawn furry porn.
It's funny. People post screenshots from faggy things like SL and WoW. I put way more effort into these...like humourous thought.
Vive la art for art's sake.

Another Strange Dream
Posted 17 years agoThis is a very strange dream that I had last night.
I was married to this very handsome and successful man, and we were trying to find a house to move into. We had two dogs who came with us.
First we went to this old ski-lodge/hotel sort of thing (think The Shining sort of thing) that had been abandoned since the late 70s, early 80s.
Well, it was good as new, with lots of people there, all dressed like they were from the 70s and 80s (Oh the hair!) and there was a dance being held, so the husband and I went to that. We toured the place, after the dance and then left.
Then we went to my Grandma's old house, which was done up again, like it was from the 70s or 80s, and was for sale, so we looked around it, realizing something was rather strange.
Then we went to the house I live in currently and IT was for sale too, but strangely, it was all different.
There was a calendar tacked up that said it was 1973, I looked at it, looked away then glanced back and then the calendar said 1978.
Weird, but continuancy in dreams isn't normal anyways. That being said, it made sense its different than it actually is, because in 1979 this house was hit by a freak tornado.
So, I told my husband that I liked the place, but it didn't seem just right, something felt wrong about it (like it being hit by a tornado in a year?).
We had to be back at the apartment where we lived at soon, because we were expecting guests.
I checked my watch, which had the day/month/year thingy on it, and it said it was 2008.
So, we went to this beach to look at one more house, this HUGE house on beach front property, which we didn't buy either because the possibility of basement flooding from the lake.
The dogs had gotten lost, and we had just gone to search for them, when I woke up.
