So, I've found my Surface 3 to be super useful for inking with Photoshop. I'm going through last year's sketches and cleaning them up that way, basically using layers to trace the image in black. And I can just photograph them right on the tablet to do so! I take the same approach to inking in PS as I do with ballpoint pen, working shading and texture in as I go, that 'sketchy' linework style. Might do some coloring of em too, we'll see.

So, dinosaurs. I'm drawing them nonstop.

I have a playful Velociraptor mongoliensis character named Ellie and a Styracosaurus named Stella. They're best buddies and Stella sometimes lets Ellie ride on her back. And Stella has a roly-poly-soft-and-busty anthro form. Yum. :3 Still working on color schemes for them, we'll see. Scribble scribble.

Anyway, thought I'd take a few suggestions for dinosaur headshots. What species shall I draw next? :D

I'm feeling good about the new year. Last year got pretty depressing. Bleh. Moving on.

Got that Surface 3and it's amazing! Great battery life on this baby, lasts me most of the day. Drawing is so nice on it. For some reason they make you buy the pen separate, but I feel like it's a necessity with this. The touch sensitivity works wonderfully. And of course it runs Photoshop like a breeze. The program does sometimes have to take a minute to catch up to me if I draw too fast so it's taking a little getting used to, just have to slow down a bit... but then again don't we all?

I am resolving to start checking FA every day. Every day! No more slacking and excuses. EVERY DAY! And I'm ready to do sketch commissions again. Note meh for em :3 $10 per character as usual, and doing em all on my shiny new tablet. ;3 I can do different colored backgrounds and linework that way, that's been fun. Got a few examples to post, probably tomorrow. Time for sleepies nao. G'night!

So, I was gone awhile again... but I'm back now. Got some good news too, I'll be getting a shiny new tablet PC soon. I'm going with the MS Surface 3, since it looks like it has everything I'll need and won't be too expensive(comparatively). I figured it was about time, since my laptop is getting old(it still runs Win XP) and I'm on the go a lot lately so I can't always draw at the computer. And as a result, I will soon be doing much more digital work, including sketch commissions which will go digital as soon as that gets here! Should be a week or so. Then I'll get some work done!

Hrng, so excited! Never played with one of these things before, but the prospect of drawing RIGHT ON THE SCREEN is very relevant to my interests. I have a graphics tablet that plugs into the PC, and while that's been very useful up until now, it's time for something new and fun.

I had to make a new one, because my old account had the name "Squeaky Chewtoy" on it, and they don't consider that a "real name" even though everybody knows me as such. :/ So, they wanted me to send them a scan of my driver's liscence to "prove" my "real name," and I am NOT giving those people that kind of info on me! They're known for selling peoples' info to other companies, so they will not get trusted info like my ID. I thought about leaving facebook altogether, but I have family on there, and I need to keep in touch with em. I like talking to my sister and niece and folks on there. So, new account, "real" name even though I hate it, and there ya have it.

TEN YEARS I've been on that site. Since it was only available to college students, way back when it first started. An now I'm starting anew on there. Sigh.

So, I'm actually going to be at AC as Dr. Ellie Sattler when I'm not in suit this Saturday. XD Thinking of registering under that name in fact. Dun worry, I'll have some other badges and my tail so you'll know I'm really a green kitty. :3 Ellie was basically my favorite character from JP1. Her and of course Lex, saving the day with vegetarian computer smarts. XD So yeah, I won't be cutting or dying my hair or anything, and I'm still a bit too pudgy to really play her right, but I'll be wearin' her clothes. Hope I get savaged by some dinosaurs while I'm down there. ;) But please don't ask me paleobotony questions, as I actually don't know a whole lot about that. XD

I'll be down at Anthrocon for Saturday only this weekend! I'm bringing a friend or two who've never been to a fur con before. So that'll be exciting for them, and I get to introduce them to some fun people! :D Can't wait to see the remodeled con center yo! We're also hitting up the Monroeville mall on the way down, because it's where they filmed Dawn of the Dead, and my bro Elex has always wanted to go there, so we're taking him. :3 Also, I hear their food court's pretty good, so that'll be lunch.

So, who else will I see there? So excited! Haven't been down to P-burgh in 3 years or so! I really hope to get checked in on time for the fursuit parade. :o

So, I went and saw Jurassic World. I have to say, it's my favorite since the first one! I don't want to spoil anything but... there are some very nostalgic things in there and it made me both satisfied and wanting more. So I've been mad into JP/JW. I've loved the first one since I was 9, yo. Gonna watch Lost World again soon too. Oh man. Dinosaurs. :D

What I'd like to see in the sequel(s):
-Ellie Sattler: Dinosaur Vet. I like to hope that she went back to community college after her encounter with the Triceratops in the first movie, studied in veterinary sciences, and now works for InGen's parks, healing sick dinosaurs.
-The Search for Blue. I feel like her story needs to continue. Her and Owen have a bond and I really want to see them reunited. They did it with Spock and he was DEAD. XD
-Patrick Stewart as some InGen/Biosyn executive.

Also, yesterday I got news that my friend Elex's mom passed away the night before. :( She was such a sweet woman and will be greatly missed. Along with other stresses in my life, it's making things difficult for me. So, sorry for being slow with commissions again... got a little time this weekend to knock some of that out, so that'll be good. Perhaps it'll even relax me. We shall see.

So, has anyone seen that movie "Tusk" that came out last year? It involves some really freaky surgical transformation and I know that some of you are into that. ;) I really liked it, it had all I was expecting and a few things I wasn't! Freaky stuff, yo.

So, I'm back at the art thing full blast again, hope this inspiration sticks around for a while. It comes at random times, like 6 AM. :B Seriously though, I need to get back to being serious about my art, I slack a lot and I really need to fix that. Happy Friday the 13th! I am still alive! I've just been super stressed and busy... again... got family drama going on and just... yuck.

Also I probably won't be able to afford to get to any cons this year. :/ Mom and Zakk and I really gotta save money to keep the household afloat. I really wanted to do FurryCon again and possibly AnthroCon, but... I probably won't make it to either. I may stop by one or both for a day or something, we'll see. I don't see being able to swing for a room, so... I hope to stop in for a few hours at least!

On a brighter note, got lots of stuff to post, really hoping to get on that tonight because I keep putting it off and I feel turrible. p.q So after D&D, I'll sit my butt down and do it!

Thought it was high time I checked in here again. Sorry for the hiatus... I've had lots of those this year. p.q Just been busy with other stuff, I will post art again soon. Still got 2 commissions before I take on more, a sketch sequel to an old piece of mine and a pair of feetpaws. I thank you for not yelling at me for taking to long on things, haha. I get them done in the end!

How was everyone's Halloween? I didn't get a huge amount of trick-or-treaters so I have a lot of candy left. But I was able to scare em silly with my Umbalaa mask. :D And then I went to see my medicine lady and we talked about aliens and mutations and all sorts of things over a peace pipe. Good times! :D

Anyway, in the middle of a D&D game right now so I should probably go pay attention, ha. And I'll be working!

Okay, it's been like 3 months. I'm very sorry this one's taking so long. p.q Been having issues, you know how it goes, depression and anxiety really knock the get-up-and-go outta me sometimes. >.< But, I feel like my clouds have lifted. I got it sketched out and I've started on coloring... I'm about halfway done, I would say. :3 I was gonna post the sketch but... then I decided I want to surprise y'all when I'm finished. :3 So yup, been working on that, as well as a few other personal pieces. I'll get those scanned eventually too... but for now, gotta get back to work on what I owe some of ya! <3

I'm already considering the next one... I think I kinda want to make it a "VORE-gy," with a couple characters made macro, chowing down on smaller characters(and maybe a few goats) and maybe also sticking them in other orifices? ;3 Maybe a bit of TF in there too, including the CTF I've been doing lately. We shall see, it'll all be up to you! <3 Might have a few other projects to get to in between here and there so it may be a while, but... get those gears turning!

And by the way, I found an amazingly disturbing artist by the name of  mot! I'm almost through his whole gallery, haha. I love his work, check it out if you're into the truly bizarre. ;3

So my latest commish sent me into full Godzilla fever. XD I'm going to start work soon on a costume of him, but I am not sure what I want to make his skin out of. I was considering fur, as I haven't seen a furred Godzilla yet. Like, shaved down into scale patterns. I think that might be neat. :3 Or some kind of plastic coating, I am not sure. But I do know I'm itching to start it. :D

Anyway, I've been.... having issues in real life. Sorry for the long delay for some of your commissions. I'm back on my feet now and feeling much more inspired. I am still working on things. Got a few sketches to do and some fursuit work to do. I'm doing the work, just taking me a while. But I will get there, I always do. <3 Gonna try and be more on the ball(or knot;) from here on out.

Skipped out on FurryCon a day early. So, I'm home now. It wasn't quite as awesome as End of the World Con, but still pretty nice! I blame the hotel for booking a 1,000 person wedding and cheerleading thing the same weekend, and as a result treating the furs like a leper colony that had to hide behind black fabric barriers. :/ Probably because the guy who looks like Prince doesn't seem to work there anymore. :P But yeah, the Dealer's Dungeon/Oubliette was hidden from view so no one made many sales. Also I got both violently ill and homesick. But, I didn't have a bad time! It was still pretty fun, and I got to hang out with BushyCat! Her table was right next to mine. And well, they keep trying to improve things, and I still want to put my support behind FurryCon! So next year, I think things will be much better. Oh, and I missed the Turkish kids from End of the World, they loved us so much more than the wedding people did. p.q

I will be gone for the weekend, off to Rochester for  furry-con. :) So excited! Anyway, I will not have internets in my hotel room as my laptop is fried, so I'll give an update when I'm back home(after a nap most likely) and post all my photos to my Facebook, as well as a few highlights up here. :3 I will, however, be having.... mmmmm-continental breakfast! Comes with the room, club level, I reserved it early. ;3 And I can't wait to see the Iron Throne that  soron1991 made! Oh man! I've seen progress pics and it looked amazing!

I was planning to do a paper maskmaking panel there but.... I got stage fright. :( And with finishing commissions and fursuit stuff for selling there, I just didn't have time to put a presentation together. So.... if anyone wants to make paper masks with me, stop by my dealer's table or catch me between stuff! I've got construction paper, scissors, and the book I was going to reference. ^^
