Wow, swimming with this homemade monofin is FANTASTIC! I really do feel like a mermaid with it on, and I can go much faster than without! I don't think I'll ever go swimming without it again, because omg. <3 Now to get spandex for the rest of my mertail! :D

I've been contemplating mermaids for the past several weeks. I haven't been this into them since I was 5. o.o So I've been researching making my own mertail, and finding plenty of resources on the subject! I just need to get my paws on a monofin to build it over. I'm going with spandex since it's the easiest method and will look good for shark skin. One day I'd like a fancy silicone one like from Merbella or FlipTails. They make some beautiful ones. :)

I'm so excited! I can't wait to get this project started, and terrorize the college pool. :D

Hope everyone's enjoying spring. I know I got some good weather today. :D

Finally found some inspiration in an old cemetery. I'm back to sketching, it will be part of my daily life once more! It's slipped away from me before, but I think I have a firm hold on it now. It's like something re-awakened... and I want to draw again. That's the best I can explain it. :B Anyway, I want to try taking some sketch commissions perhaps? Maybe my old $5 Sketches deal I pull out at times like this? :3

So, I have been sucked into the world of Star Trek Online. I don't know if anyone knows this, but before I was a furry, I was a TREKKIE! XD I went to a single Star Trek convention, way back when, with my parents, at age 12. And now I've been watching old episodes of TOS and TNG, and then I went and found out there's an MMO for it. I'm very pleased, character customization is fantastic, space ship battles are a little tricky at first but I'm getting the hang of them, and Leonard Nimoy is back as the voice of Spock who narrates the intro and congratulates you every time you earn a rank. :D Unfortunately I could not start off as a cat-person, but I made my character look as feline as possible till I can unlock Caitians. :3

So right now I am a very happy little nerd. :D

My cat Sissy passed away last night. :( She had a stroke, we took her to the vet's, and... she didn't get better. It helps to think she's not in pain anymore, and with my Dad(her favorite person in the world) and her friend Kaley in heaven. I think her little heart broke when Dad passed, the poor dear. I still have her sister, Spunky. She's in my lap helping me heal my little heart.

So we've lost half our household in the past year. Kaley, Dad, and Sissy are all gone, and now it's just me, Mom, and Spunky around the house. It is strange and quiet and lonely now, and a terrible start to this year. :(

1 shot of Hypnotiq + 1 shot of Monster Energy = a distastefully green-grey-colored -BUT DELICIOUS!- drink which I call a Squeaky Chewtoy. :D Seems oddly appropriate, I am green and sometimes considered distasteful. X3 But I WORK IT!

 endoftheworldparty rocked my socks. :3 There is something to be said for being there for the very FIRST Frozen Oasis convention! Not everything worked quite right or on time, but it all worked out quite awesomely in the end. :) It's a much different atmosphere from AC. Rochester natives aren't quite sure what to do with furries yet I guess. But the hotel staff was awesome, so there's that! And being a small con, it wasn't as congested with EVERYFUR EVER, which is also nice! :3

There was also a Turkish cultural fair going on that weekend... and let me tell you, those Turkish kids LOVED the fursuiters. :) But white kids were scared of us... go figure. I think I completely terrified a couple of white kids, and had to stop and think what a giant green kitty with big teeth, holding a sign with "The end is NOW" all misspelled, would look like to a 6-year-old.... I also had a Turkish man in the elevator ask me if I was real.... next time I'm claiming hallucination status.

Speaking of fursuits, I spilled booze all over Chewtoy my first night there and smelled great for the rest of the con. XD Thankfully the alcohol dissipated overnight... so I just smelled fruity and not so boozy. Also I forgot to pack Vicious' feetpaws, so if you saw a werewolf in boots, that was me. :B

Next year I think I want to run some sort of fursuit workshop, help people make tails and stuff, with like a $10 materials fee or something. Also I think I will have a dealer's table, because this con is much less hectic than AC and I think I could definitely sit in one spot for a while here. :3

So yeah, great con! Met lots of awesome furs, got to see Soron and Scitters again, and I will definitely be there next year for Furry CONspiracy! :) In fact, this will be my yearly "go-to" con, rather than AC. It's closer and I spent way less than I'd budgeted for! Time to buy a new camera. :D

 endoftheworldparty Who is going? Who still needs room space? My other 2 roomies fell through so I need 2 more. D:  darkcoyote and I are staying Thursday night through Saturday night, and checking out sunday morning. It's about $370 total, and I will divide up the cost depending on how many we get. There are 2 queen beds(Dark and I will take one), their basic room option. All I ask is clean up after yourself, don't break or steal my stuff, and don't wake sleeping furs at unreasonable hours. :D

I haven't forgotten about those free digital icons from a while back! Got 2 left to do, and I finally think I'm in a better mental state where I can actually DRAW and not hate everything I make. The past few months have been... terrible. But I think I'm ready to work on arts again. :3 Gonna try and work on those tonight.

I also have a jam session planned with my good friend Elex for today. He plays the bass, I play the djembe and do digital mixing. Really want a midi keyboard one of these days, hrmmm. Maybe I'll post a rough cut of whatever we come up with, if indeed we get that far. XD

But yeah, been getting the creative juice back in more than one way. I think things are back on the ups. :3

I am still not up for doing much art, but I want to let you all know I'm still alive. Still suffering from depression and anxiety more than ever, but at least I'm feeling social enough to post again. :)

My father passed away early this morning. I don't know how long it'll be before I can work on art again. I'm just too depressed to do much of anything right now...

So, I want to crack out the tablet and start taking small digital commissions. Well, since I haven't done them in a while and need some updated examples, I'm going to offer up 3 digital portrait/icon commissions free of charge! First 3 commenters to send me a reference pic get one each. GO! :3

I just ordered a new scanner from Newegg! It should be here in about a week. I will be open for sketch commissions and so forth when it arrives. :) But feel free to drop me a note now if interested. :)

Maybe I'll open another orgy commission when that comes in, too! Those are always fun! I just need a theme, any ideas?
