Some great divine power has been bestowed on Red as has brought back my recently departed table! Blessed be the Duck tape of wonders.

This is for the death of my tablet. More specifically the death of my mates old tablet that she passed down to me. It was very well loved when I received it and I am not sure about the condition it arrived in when Red got it originally.
A slim and aqua clear shell with a metal backing, so I can see the sensor board and the problem, the cable has come unplugged and I do not have the screwdrivers needed (extra tiny) to take the cover off.

So I guess it is not really dead but more in a coma state, either way it is not functioning as it should, or at all. However I do still have my trusty trackball with catch spots in the ball and loose well.

We managed to sort out our room, rearranged my work/computer station. I am set up and trying to learn my new programs, but the kicker is this. We have a single phone jack in this room and as we all know two things can not occupy the same space at the same time, and this applies to the internet as well.
So for the time being Red and I will be trading off with the access. I understand that I have a problem with the net, it is a distraction, however in the past months the net has also become a source of inspiration for me in the form of an internet radio station. Music seems to help me work, not necessarily focus just productivity.

As I was going to say, I have gotten my new rig and I am very much in love. The power to handle every thing that I want to do with the tools to do it That feeling alone, knowing that you have the ability to bring the things in your head out. The "-ish" being that of all these programs that I now have access to are currently beyond my comprehension. This is currently being addressed.

Further more, I have tested the new blender software and found that it is not to my personal abilities and have returned to Blender 2.49 . at least here I know it is a stable version and will not break. That does effectively remove one new program from the list of one that I need to learn.

I am currently planing on attempting to remain simi-productive in Blender and dividing my time among the new programs. Hopefully this will lead to a diverse learning curve, minimum amount of burn out, and greater creativity. At least that is the intended course of action, we will have to see if it works out that way.

I spent a few days away from my computer, intentionally. I spent the time going through several different considerations, calculations, modifications, and revisions of my G.D.D. that happens to all be written down in various notebooks as well as floating through my head constantly.

What brought on this extended absence? I calculated size of space, and that size is "Ouch." Yes that is actually what is written in my G.D.D. . Once the size of space was calculated there was the consideration of how much space there is, after all there is relativity to consider. If a single Galaxy is the size of a marble, then a Solar Gas Giant would be the size of a grain of sand and a Earth would be a spec of dust floating through the cosmic rays of light pouring through the binds of a child's room.

What else have I been up to? I started playing Phantasy Star Universe on X-Box Live. It is a rather interesting game, if you have not played it before the demo (on the 360) is a free download with some of the content removed from the full version like the off line story mode. It is also the first cross platform M.M.O.G. release and based out of China. If you are playing or decide to play let me know and we can met up some where.

T.L.D.R.; I am back

Basically pushing out the last journal as the artist has sold out the last spot in the project.

In other news, Some things are up and others are down. But over all everything is about the best they can be for the moment. Bills rush in and Capital is lolly-gagging to catch up.

The majority of my day consists of modeling in Blender 2.49b, some times up to three projects in a single day. Rarely, I work on a single project for an entire day and pick it back up the next day. I have found that I get a bit burned out doing that, and lose creativity the longer I push myself that way.
Small "simple" objects take me only about an hour to work up and texture, when I can get the UV maps to work correctly.
At some point during all of this I manage to cook and serve dinner, and there are of course smoke and coffee breaks that consist of either getting coffee or rolling a cigarette.

All of my air brush equipment has been gathered, cleaned, organized, and put away to wait the fated day I get a compressor and can start painting again.

TLDR: Nothing new to report.

Most every one of you know that I am not prone to this sort of action, but this time is a bit different. She saw a bad situation and found a good constructive way around it. That sort of courage and initiative should be rewarded.

I have done many things in my life, a very wide variety experiences. Recently , on other sites, there has been some disbelief of my activities in the past. Pertaining mostly to my 13 years as a Fire Manipulation Artist, to clear this matter up I have done some digging and and found the very few pictures that have survived the multiple groups that I was a member of and my intent is to post them here. Please keep in mind that I have retired from public performance and with limited exceptions no longer "light up."
With that said, there are Three major points that I would like to bring up.

...And it is almost over. Another year has about gone by and I have officially added another number that hangs over my head.
32 now and nothing changed from yesterday, I do not know anything new that I would not have taught myself anyway.

Today's events where much like any other day, with a role reversal.  thejackaolf cooked dinner tonight and made a brownie-cake for me. All of it was so very good, and I over ate to the point of nearly being sick.

It is rather amusing, last year I did what I have always done. Get up and just keep going, I literally forgot that it was my "death-day." This year, for some reason I actually counted down the days, and almost every one forgot about it. That is perfectly fine with me, again it's just another day. This is really how I feel about most every holiday. "Just another day," I never did understand the reason to get all worked up over a particular day of the year.

How, How are idiots able to breed at this rate? Much less hold positions of Power? " I didn't inhale!" Yea I dug that one up or should we go with the inability to spell, Potatoes for example. I will not go into the inabilities to read a simple world map and know where exactly you live.

Current events are off limits to me because I will just keep going and going and going and going, and I am not a bunny at all...

Bottom line Stupid people are the reason I have gone from Vagabond to hermit. Stupid people scare me, and from what I can tell they are breeding... Hide, Hide now or they will drain what little intelligence you have left after generalized TV and Radio programming. Lets just skip over the other forms of mass media like billboards, because yes while driving at 65-75 MPH I want to see a half naked male/female in 25'x75' dimensions... No how could that cause problems?

Basically I have been in a bit of a creationist block for the past couple of weeks. I think it was the self induced addition of yet another project to work on, and yet again I don't have a preferred program to work in. MS word of all things, really. Any time I sit down and try to work on something my mind goes blank and I wind up staring at the screen for hours, I get some things done just not much at any given point. Today's world is literally fell flat during the first render and that was that. Three models where touched on today and made very small progress. C++ reviewed, but nothing new or exciting.

Due to scheduling issues this year, I was not able to catch a large portion of the tournament, however you know that I would not miss the Finals.
Again this year Pandemic Legion won the tournament in a flawless victory, this time make very sort work of Hun Reloaded. While it was a fantastic show of dominance, I personally thought that it was rather anti-climatic.

perhaps now that I have gotten the tournament out of my system I be able to focus on some of my projects a bit more. If you are interested in the projects that I am currently working on then I well be returning to my blog more regularly, as well as looking at a revamp of my website.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen events, I was not able to watch or catch up on Sundays matches. As for Saturdays matches, Pandemic Legion made a very decisive execution of their opponents in such a way that seemed to say "remember what we did last year?"
However it was the second match of the morning that grabbed every ones attention; Agony Empire v HYDRA RELOADED. What seemed to be an extremely well played match by H.R. from the first kill at 0:55 seconds in until the last ship of Agony Empire was left running. This is where the match really takes turn for the interesting, Hydra Reloaded offered to forfeit the match by suicide one by one. The purposed exchange was 1 Bil immediately and 2 Bil at the end of the match.
There are a couple of different reasons a team would do this but reasons where never explained by the Hydra team. The offer was accepted by Agony so both teams will be showing up for round two. Agony advances because they got the recorded win even though they don't have any points, and Hydra advances on points alone.
Currently on Saturday's match videos are posted on the AT-8 schedule, and Sunday's matches should be posted soon.

Something like eight months have past and it is again time for the Alliance Tournament over at EvE Online. Even if you don't play Eve the Matches are always fun to listen to, the DJ's are amazing, and in round 3 all the matches are broad cast live on EveTv.
Flashing lights, pretty explosions, and great Dj's that are happy to entertain as much as the ships do.
For some of you that do not know, the eve-radio-network will carry the matches live on a air for the entire tournament. The matches start at 10am here in Texas, so keep it in mind when you start looking for it.

We had a slight rain storm a couple of days ago and the phone line runs on the out side of the house. For some reason during and a bit after a storm I have some problems with connectivity on this computer. It also rained again this evening, albeit briefly it did rain. Knowing the history of the symptoms of my computer problems led to a rather simple and obvious over sight. The tail of the phone line has a broken jack plug, the clip is missing. I know this but forgot about it and went on my way, and as it always happens to be it was the last thing I checked. Yea, I deprived my self of internet for 2 days with out intention.
This unfortunate timing of events would have aided in my productivity level had a particular friend not required my help in packing for a move. While that is not what occupied my time, the Games lent to me by the same friend during the same event did occupy my time. Also, I didn't have my music, I find it very difficult to work on things with out my music. As you can tell I plugged the phone line back in and I am back again, with music and productive drive, sort of.

In other news, as I was not on-line at the time to post it. One week from this past Saturday, will be round 1 of Alliance Tournament 8. Saturday June 5th.
Looking back on AT7 we see that P.L. took home the title. And looking at the Schedule, they are set up against Dead Terrorist on day 1 3 matches after the break. Now I have heard from one of the players that if PL can't 'pull it together" then they wont make it this year.
If you followed my Journals on AT7 you know that one of my picks was "In Tea We Trust," however they have passed on the tournament this year, perhaps we will see them again at AT9. This does mean that I need at least one more to keep track of. There are currently two teams of interest, Pendemic Legion and Goon Swarm, I would like one more to keep an eye on.

Alright, so I have showed you a still image of fire using a particle system with out nodes. I thought that while I was up all night anyway I would give an actual animation a go. I decided on a fluid system this time as I have already done fire and know that Nodes will make Blender crash on my computer. This was going to be as basic as it gets, a nice sized domain with a icosphere set to 4, then I added an obstacle in the form of a cone. Like I said very basic, I didn't do anything more to the "Water" than give it a blue color and the cone was red.
So I baked it, cool that went well. I even rendered a still a single frame, then I rendered the animation. ALL NIGHT!!! No really, I started rendering the animation around 10pm and it finished around 7am. I let the animation run for a few cycles so that my father-in-law could see why I had my computer and my wife's computer running all night. Jokingly I told him that I was never going to do it again, meaning the animation but I digress.
So here is where it became a night of Fail, I min. the animation and go to Blender and open the previously rendered single frame. When I clicked the 'X' to close the still render it stayed up... then (not responding) shows up next to the window title. Oh yea, I thought okay just maybe it is the only the single frame render that I lost... nope when I flip back over to the main Blender window there is the addition to the window Title, (not responding). I could not even save the bleeding animation, then they both collapsed supposedly from my attempt to only close the rendered image. What is worse than this? The animation was still running fine in the background, Task manager had no problems with it and I even managed to bring it up and watch it for a couple of more cycles.
"...that's it, right click and save it that way. That should do it." It did not work obviously, I right clicked and then it hit the animation too, (not responding).

"But wait; There's more!"
Yea, so My wife wakes up and I tell her about every thing and decided to take a break a calm down before I write the blog telling every one about my fail. That is when it steeped one up on me and declared it's self as an Epic Fail. I attempted to sign into the site to write it all out, what did I find instead of my site? "The address is attempting to redirect in a way that could never be completed." ??? Seriously, alright so I will go to the host main page... same thing.
By this point I am certain that if the neighbors didn't think I was a sailor they do now. I attempted four different routs to get to either the main host page, or my site's directory and none of them worked. A little more than 48hrs. with out sleep so I crash out for 3, when I got up the site was back all shiny and new looking. They apparently decided update their site on my worst night to date.
So while I didn't loss anything, and my site is obviously still running, it is not quite as bad as I thought but still an Epic Fail.

Yea, sorry about the lack of a gallery update this morning. I worked really hard all night to give you one, but the god of blender said "NO!" I will try to have a couple more done soon, but no there will not be any animations. Not until something changes and either my system can handle it or a new system is designed to handle it. One day I will give you both Fire and Water animations but no time soon.

Or at least set up, and as this is my personal site it will be containing some things that are not going to be put up here and visa versa.

No, they are serious about this. every single one of the 3D model marketplaces that I have come across, save one, has some backhanded way of saying that the custom creator just is not good enough.
No really, go check them out and spend hours reading through all the EULA's and talking to all the CS staff that will talk to you and find out for your self.
Renderosity -- no pay out until you have sould more than $35 and to top it off you can not have more than three items in the marketplace until your "gross sales" reaches $300.

TurboSquid -- Oh yea, you only get 15% of the sales. unless you work only for them and sell x amount. Yea ok so they take the top 30% and give that to the IRS so you don't have to, Oh wait no they file it under YOUR T.I.N. or I.T.I.N. if you don't live in the U.S., and yea you can forget about any Tax treaties that your country has with the U.S. because they will still make you get an I.T.I.N.

Flatpyramid & Wasabi -- are more than willing to buy each of your models, textures, etc. for a $ to be determined upon inspection of the item. If accepted they will pay you ONCE! and then sell the same damn model for years to come. I will ignore their discount CD bundles for now.

^Lets be fair and admit that each one of the a for mentioned sites will increase your commission % or just pay out right if you sign up for an 'affiliate' program. basically you put a link on your site to their site and it tracks each sale made that originated from your link.

... Now for the Save one.
Falling Pixel 3D -- first off wow, a named site that is spelled correctly. Second alright they are currently working on a 58% commission rate. that is 58% of the sales of your products go to you not them. Granted they work Exclusively in Euros but they also support paypal who automatically converts currencies for you.
Down side time, they will only pay you when you want to be payed if you have more than 5 euros in your account with them. And you have to wait for 72 hours before your funds hit Paypal from their bank account.
alright so not such a bad down side but still I had to Grr at them for something.

What a way to spend a day where I could have been actually working on something. If some one has a public marketplace that will not hold me to idiotic rules and regulations and give me my fair share, then that would be great. until then I might be virtually moving to Wales and London.

Well Mum's computer finally gave up the ghost and became a proper boat anchor. So being the good little scaver. that I am, I took the HD out and put it in here. Now after yet another format and re-install of every thing I am back up on my fingers.
I have gone from 9gig to 40gig *cheers*
This means that I am not a strapped for space even though I have tried to once again re-format my memory stick, didn't work. I still have a bit of room to play with and can make a few extra little things and actually keep them.
And if that was not good enough, my loving mates new tablet came in this week and she is back to doing streaming sessions. She is a great artist and you should keep and eye out for one of doodling sessions.  TheJackaolf
She did pass on her old tablet to me, I might not do the same type of art that she does, but it has helped a great deal when working with Terragen.

Honestly I have no idea what happened this morning, I got up and played for about 30-45 min. of Neo Steam then got on my own computer. That is when every thing seemed to go wrong, simple web pages like yahoo mail would freeze up and take forever to go away. Then I tried to bring up Blender and it seemed to work fine until... I added a texture... then crash like a laser guided 747. It managed to take out my USB flash drive that held all my art that is posted here, my 3D models, Textures, peripheral programs like Terragen.
All of it is gone, so now it is back to the drawing board. This time I promise that I will not keep all my 3D workings to myself even if they are rather rudimentary in my opinion.
After spending the majority of the day fighting with re-formatting the hard drive, again, and hunting down all the software that I needed and drivers for this that and the other I am happy to report that I am no longer M.I.A. (missing internet action).
So yes I am back and starting tomorrow I will be back to work in Blender, yet again. This time I promise to show y'all some of my works.

So yes Spring is here and I decided to keep a family tradition alive. "Chase out the cold!" Most every knows about spring cleaning and how it is "healthy," but there are other reasons too, like finding all the little winter demons that like to hide in the dark and unused corners of your house. That is why you should not only Clean your house every winter but it is not a bad idea rearrange the rooms of your house that you use most often.
We changed our room around and I have redesigned my desk, as much as can be done.
In retrospect I should have taken photos of the two places before and after. Of course this did not take a week to do, I also tried my hand at making a set of dentures for Mum, and found a new addiction that will take all my time if I am not watched closely. Allow me to Introduce you to Neo Steam, to be honest there is nothing really spectacular about it. I just have a saver weakness for MMO's.
Now that all of that is done, and if I can keep off Reds computer then I might just be able to get some real work done. ;p
Seriously though, I should have a good amount of thime to work ... starting tomarrow...
