TheJackaolf My Pet Project...
General | Posted 16 years agoAs most of you know, I have been working on Designing and Developing my own "AAA MMORPG." I am still working on my G.D.D. and am looking desperately for some form of website hosting with built in security functions so that I can publish my conceptual notes, G.D.D., and start putting together a small team of people that understand that this is a pet project and not a paid position. At least not yet, The desired plane is that the team that joins me in this early stage of development will become the core development team with full conceptual lead authority over their selected areas. This would include the selection of any new team members, maintaining team schedules, evaluating individual team member progress and assessing the teams ability to maintain the desired schedule.
As previously stated this is a pet project and not a project out of a major gaming studio. With that being said there is a particular amount of confidentiality required to participate with the design teams. This does of course include a agreement of Nondisclosure and a COPPA agreement for any one (located in America and under the age of 15) who would like to submit anything to be considered by any development team. Of course non of this can be duplicated or listed on any resume or future job application until the company as a whole has become a solidified and registered entity, until that time all work will be placed on a confidential security level and may or may not be released at the time of the companies registration and publication.
The reason for the posting here is that Furies will have a integral part in not only the playability of the game but also the Development of the game. That is to say that there is a active representation of the fan-dome worked into the game as a separate and self sustaining race.
Once the G.D.D. is completed and compiled, it will be re-posted along with this journal and a listing of all open team posistions.

Happy Thanks Giving
General | Posted 16 years agoEven if you don't celebrate the day you should take a small amount of time to sit around a a very full table and share the reasons that you have been thankful this year.
Personally I am very thankful for my mate
TheJackaolf she has helped me in so many ways. keeping me focused on my dream, keeping me from drinking my self to death, encouraging me to find my self as an artist and Furry, and many others.
I am also thankful to all my dear friends, some on here and some not. But to all of you, Thank you for being a part of my life. You have made the last year of hardships worth it.
I love you all, especially you

TheJackaolfThe death of a forum...
General | Posted 16 years agoIt is sad watching a forum die, it is even worse when you show up and the site is already past the point of death thralls.
I recently found a site dedicated to Furry Gamers by the same title, https://www.furrygamers.com
and I started posting about my pet project and game development. after watching the site for some time and starting my threads. I came to realize that the site was long dead and with out hope for revival. It is a sad day when a PM to the admins does not get a reply after a week of waiting.
While I can not see the reason for the death of that particular site and have not idea where the Admins went I feel some what betrayed. After all the side is presented well enough and seems to have a decent flow to it with dedicated topics for particular games and news about games. Unfortunately the News section is completely empty, with out a single article.
Once again I will morn the time spent watching a dead site and prey that there is some one out there that know what a tragedy it is to see a dedicated site like this fall to the way side with out so much as any one noticing it.

Just an old fashioned rant...
General | Posted 16 years ago... I really am disappointed in the entire fan-dome as a whole. It is not for the more common reason of porn or art theft or any thing like that. Rather it upsetting that I can not find any extreme hard core gamers in the fan-dome. Most every one know that I am trying to Dev. my own MMO where Furies will be a playable race among others. I have posted on the forums here at FA, and FurryGamers.com.
I received some good information on the Forums here and Nothing on the Forums at Furry Gamers. Honestly there seem to be more mundanes out there gaming than any one else. I could care less about the drama, I have my own headaches and don't care to add to them with someone Else's perceived problems.
Okay granted that I do not read every forum post on any of the sites that I watch, 10+ sites. Nor do I read every Journal that is streamed to me here. I do scan over the titles and read the ones that catch my eye.
All the forum posts and one of my Journals have been directly related to research for the aspect of the Furies in my game. This only works if I get honest answers, input,
What is the point of driving my self mad with any where from six to ten hours a day of grinding design work, mechanic application, art designs, economic design, cultural layout, etc.
Is there some unwritten rule that a Furry can not take a step out side of the the box and show the world that we are capable of extraordinary things? I don't think so. Take a look at the amazing Artists on this site, how about 2grypon? Why is it that Writing is considered art, Drawing, sketching, 3d modeling, all of this are "art." What about the Programmers? Are they any less of an artist because they write the physics engine that makes something like a feather float while a game character plummets to their death, or injury... What about the Content Developers? are they less of an artist than any one else because they don't have anything to show other than 'Quests' and rewards, all their work is done with words and story line...
Honestly Why are Game designers and Developers ignored? When was the last time that you looked through the credits of you favorite game? If the game becomes a huge success then Every knows who Published the game, but they still do not know the original Designers and developers, no one really cares enough to take the time to learn their favorite world builders and economists,
Try. I want you to try just for an hour to think of every little detail that goes into a standard console game or arcade game. Try keeping some Tylenol close by. More nights have been lost to my mind working over time while I am sleeping and while I am awake I work my self into at least one migraine a day.
There is a common thought about the Gaming Industry... "If you want to work in the Industry then you must be mad, or at least a bit off your rocker. and Most people would say that I have taken then lvl of insanity a bit far.
I know that there are games out there with similarities with what I am making, there are also games out there that will have some of the same mechanics as my own, but the Game in it's own right will be wholly unique because of one simple fact. It has been my own alternate universe since I was in elementary school. When I needed to get away or simply got bored I would run away to a new world and make new friends in my own mind. I am not working for any major name studio, I don't even have all the hard ware I need to publish a working demo or prototype. I have only gotten a couple of close friends that have willingly offered to help me with this near all consuming pet project. They each have their own projects that they are working on and can not dedicate themselves to it like I can, but none the less they have at least given me more assistance than the fan-dome.
There seem to be a large number of furies that scream about not being treated fairly and the one time, that I know of, that some one tries to make a difference in a major way all I get is a hand full of honest responses and a equal amount of people that just want to make snide responses and replies that offer no incite as to what they would want.
I am just simply done, honestly if this is the kind of response I can expect from the Fan-dome then the Fan-dome can take what they are given and I will leave the external development to the ones who really care about what they read and respectfully provide input that not only aids in the creation process but also challenges the preconceived notions that No one Cares.
If you honestly think that no one cares, then I have some rather shocking news for your... You are RIGHT!!!! the only way to get some one to give a smoke is to prove that you are worth the time to care about!
Go ahead and prove me wrong, that is if you decide that this is worth your time, then you time might be worth mine!

...Is there anyone out there...Gaming?
General | Posted 16 years agoI am curious and really want to know how many hardcore Furry Gamers are out there. I am not talking about just games that have furies in them, I want to know how many of you spend hours playing your favorite games. On Consoles, PC's, MMO's, any thing.
How competitive are you? Do you go out and hunt newbs, search every corner of a console game, find every item there is to find?
What games do you play and do you make it know that you are furry if there are other players?
How many of you are waiting for "that one" game that literally screams "Furies are welcome here?"

AT7 Finals
General | Posted 16 years agoPandemic Legion wins in a Epic battle against Circle-Of-Two.
Once again PL is the champion of the Alliance Tournament, and I am sure they will be difficult to beat in the nest tournament.
One new team emerged from this weekend worth remembering, Beyond Virginity, coming from seemingly nowhere and find the end of their run one step away from possibly challenging Pandemic Legion.
Unfortunately I have not found a link for the final battle, however you can see any match of the first four days of battles at
http://complete.gamingradio.net/eve.....io?player=true
look for then under the videos tab.

AT7 Round 2 update

Goonswarm ranked 2nd and Pandemic Legion ranked 25th.
Unfortunately In Tea We Trust lost in round 2 and is ranked 50th.
