One Last Slot! (Edit: Closed)
Posted a week agoI will be closing my commissions on Thursday or when my final slot is filled– whichever happens first. Note me on here, or contact me elsewhere, to claim the slot if you're interested. My current batch of commissions will be finished by the end of November, and I will open for another batch in December. Thank you to my commissioners!
I am open for both SFW and NSFW commissions, and draw characters of a wide variety of species and body types.
Here is my TOS for more info.

Out of curiosity
Posted 2 weeks agoI have a handful of other historical settings I'd like to delve into. Any of them sound particularly interesting to y'all? Of these, I've only really researched one, so creating furry characters would also be a fun exercise in learning about a time and place in history.

Drawtober Success!
Posted 2 weeks agoThis month I set out to upload something every day, and happily, I succeeded! The daily pace helped me realize a lot about my work.
Things I’m happy about:
- I’m fine releasing imperfect work. I’m more interested in getting my ideas on paper than trying to have them be perfect. I want to continuously improve, of course, but I’m fine with honing my skills at a more leisurely pace.
- I stuck to it every day! Consistency is not my strongest virtue, so I’m proud I did the whole thing.
- I’m grateful for the comments I’ve received through the month, both compliments to feedback. It’s been a rough year for me, so it’s a bright spot in my day.
Things I want to change/improve on:
- I didn’t draw much kinky stuff this month! Truthfully, it’s because I get nervous posting even slightly potentially controversial material– but it’s a fear I need to get over.
- Sometimes, my pieces were a little awkward. I.e. the characters’ posing, expressions, and dialogue don’t seem in sync, or the composition as a whole doesn’t make complete sense. That’ll just require a little more care on my end.
Looking ahead: just like my last big journal, I’m again open to suggestions on which of my characters, or what sorts of themes/kinks, to draw. Since we’re coming up on No Nut November, I’m especially interested in chastity/orgasm denial stuff.
I have commissions to tackle in November, so I probably won’t upload every day like I did this month. But there should be some good stuff coming soon!
Thanks for reading!

Closing Up Patreon
Posted a month agoNow that I'm working again, I've decided to close down my Patreon. A big thank you to my Patrons for their support and feedback!
This does not affect my commissions, or my posting on here or on Bluesky.

October Announcements
Posted a month ago- First, a huge thank you to my commissioners and Patrons. Your support helped me tremendously over a financially rough few months.
- Open Comms: My commissions remain open– I currently have one I'm about to start, but can take one or two more in my queue for the time being.
- Upcoming Art: Now that I have a job again, I'll have to see how it'll affect my posting schedule, but I'm still attempting to post something every day in October, for... Kinktober? OCtober? Drawtober? Not sure. I might lean more in the kink direction in the coming weeks.
- Also: If there's a character or characters of mine you like, drop me a comment. I've just been following my own whims lately, but I'll take comments into consideration when deciding who to draw this month.
- Also: I have vague plans of starting a bigger narrative project soon. Not sure what else to say beyond that– don't want to jinx it.

Where to find me
Posted 2 months agoHoping that tomorrow's site maintenance goes smoothly– I've only been on FA for a little over a year, but I've seen it improve drastically within that window. However, in the case that it lasts longer than expected, you can also find my art on:
BLUESKY
PATREON (with Discord access, and a bunch of extra illustrations I haven't posted yet!)

200 Watchers! Woah!
Posted 2 months agoJust realized I crossed this point recently. I don't want to celebrate the number directly, as much as use it a jumping-off point for voicing my appreciation for the feedback I've gotten on my art, as well as the bonds with other artists I've been forming. I still have plenty to learn when it comes to technical skill and confidence as an artist, but I'm happy with how far I've come and have y'all to thank for it. Looking forward to what the future brings!
Want More?
Posted 3 months agoI have a Patreon page and a Discord community for Patrons! For as little as $2/month:
- You'll see new SFW and NSFW work from me, multiple times a week, before it gets posted publicly (plus a growing collection of exclusive sketches and illustrations)
- You get opportunities for character art and sketch requests, including a monthly character drawing raffle
- You'll have access to my Discord community, where I also post my work early, chat with patrons, and accept suggestions on what to draw (I only have three patrons right now, so you'll have an outsized influence!)
- You get discounts of up to 20% on commissions!
I'm grateful to my patrons for their support. I'm currently job searching with no other income outside of art, and Patreon helps me tremendously. Hope to see you there, and please pardon the advertisement!

Chilemeister no more
Posted 3 months agoWhat's in a name? Well, not much in "Chilemeister", a moniker I've never liked. Its pronunciation and meaning are unclear. It is also the name of a hot sauce brand, and it autocorrects to "Chillmeister" (a clothing brand) when you search it on Google. It was intended as a placeholder, and should've been changed long ago. But better now than never!
I'm changing my online name to "Scribefang". This name sounds distinctly furry, and fits better with my output. I will be renaming my Bluesky and changing my FurAffinity display name shortly (praying name changes will be implemented one day!). I will be rebranding my Patreon as well. I also tire of splitting my work into "SFW" and "NSFW" boxes, and from here on out, I'll post the bulk of my work as Scribefang.
Apologies for any confusion, and pardon my dust!

Anthrocon '25!
Posted 4 months agoAn opportunity arose this summer for me to visit Anthrocon with some friends. I'm a Texas native– while I've been to a few cons in the state, this was my first time visiting one out-of-state, and certainly my first time visiting one at such a scale. I also went with friends, and it was great fun discussing our favorite art or eating together.
I'm always fascinated by places: what borders they're enclosed within, how many people call them home, and how they move and function on a day-to-day basis. So naturally, the city of Pittsburgh itself would be a big part of my trip. Indeed, one of the highlights was an early Saturday morning walk I took, crossing a bridge over the Monogahela river and seeing a big train pass under the bridge. The old architecture and the scenery of Pittsburgh were lovely. The summer heat was a bit of a shame, but coming from Texas, it was nothing I wasn't used to.
The convention itself was great. It was efficiently run, with registration a breeze. The vending area was immense, and it was great to see both artists whose work I recognized, as well as new people I knew I had to follow. The con space is immense, with plenty of space to walk around or relax.
I often feel out of place at conventions. I prefer to dress as plainly as possible– both at work or at a furry convention. And my interests are very squarely in making and enjoying furry art– illustration, writing, visual art, you name it– rather than more social practices like fursuiting, dancing, or playing games. Cons are understandably oriented towards the latter, but there's a good program of events at Anthrocon for whatever side of the fandom engages you. Increasingly, I feel as if my niche in the fandom is as an artist and a writer, so in hindsight I should have leaned more into that angle in deciding how to spend my time.
In interacting with artists– whether vending in the gargantuan dealer's den, or chatting at the tables in the sketchbook swap room– I learned a lot about how they operate in real life. While right now I'm just a drop in the ocean of the furry art world, and I'm sure it'll take time and patience to become more visible regardless, I ought to make more connections with other artists, and come to my next big con prepared.
Outside of the con proper, I also visited the Room Party art exhibition at Bunker Projects, though I missed the associated panel given at Anthrocon. I liked the pieces on display, as well as most of the zines. I wish I had heard more from the artists themselves so I could grapple with the exhibition in more detail. The exhibition as a whole was great, and I'm curious to see where future attempts at marrying furry and fine art go.
I'm glad I was able to make this trip happen, and thankful to my friends for helping facilitate it. I feel I've seen most of what Texas cons have to offer, and it's my hope to leave Texas for good next summer, so Anthrocon is a great model of the kind of con I'd like to participate in in the future.

Anthrocon + other June Announcements
Posted 5 months ago- My commissions are open! I can currently take one or two more. (I don't plan to close them– just want to keep a manageable queue.)
- Excited to say I'll be at Anthrocon this year! I'll mostly be there on Saturday and Sunday. It'll be my first con outside of Texas, and certainly the biggest yet I've been to. Looking forward to see the artists there!
- I will be participating in the art trading game ArtFight again this year. My focus will be on drawing for friends/mutuals, and reciprocating for people who draw for me. Let me know if you're on the site and I'll drop you a follow. Here is my profile.
- I encourage people who like my work to join my Patreon! The community is centered on the Patron Discord, where I post plenty of goodies, including my NSFW work. Since it's a small community at the moment, any one member can have a say in the direction of my work, and see it early, all for as little as $2/month. Any support is appreciated, and pardon the advertising.

The Orcas Are Back! +Other News
Posted 6 months agoI'm pretty much done with college! In this coming year, I hope to maintain a steady output while also providing my services to commissioners. Excited to see what the future holds!
First, I'm happy to announce that my webcomic, Heart Across the Gulf, is coming back next week! It will update on Mon/Wed, with Patrons getting pages in advance. If you haven't read it, Heart Across the Gulf is about a forbidden romance in a society of orcas in Canada's Gulf Islands.
Additionally, I plan to open my commissions– SFW and NSFW– by mid-May. Keep an eye out! If you have questions or an idea for a commission, feel free to let me know in advance.
Additionally, while FurAffinity undergoes maintenance, I want to remind people of my other platforms. Hope to get back to posting here soon!
BlueSky: BluAirSky (SFW), Chilemeister (NSFW)
Tumblr: BluAirSky (SFW)
Patreon and Patron Discord: BluAirSky (SFW, with an opt-in NSFW art channel on the Discord)
Discord (business inquiries only): bluairsky

100 Watchers
Posted 7 months agoThanks for your watches and your feedback on my art! Glad to have made it this far.
I'll be busy with graduation and finals through mid-May, and then I begin work. Counterintuitively, I expect work to clear my head and give me more time to draw. I plan to bring back my orca-themed comic Heart Across the Gulf, as well as maintain a steady stream of illustrations and pin-ups. But my priority, depending on demand, will be commissions. My main goals are to offer affordable prices, and discounts for Patrons and returning customers.
Outside of commissions and comics, I've been having a blast with historical settings and characters lately. I plan to explore those sorts of things more in the future. I'm also considering diving into new art forms like visual novels or animatics/limited animation. So much to do, so little time.
If you'll forgive a paragraph of advertising, my Patreon offers a variety of perks from $2/month. There's plenty of early and exclusive work up on there. I do a monthly art raffle for Patrons as well as occasional character FAQs. You'll get discounts (up to 20%) on commissions. (There's also a new channel in the Discord where I post my NSFW artwork early!) I'm prolific and emphasize original work, and right now it's a small community– so you'll have an outsized role in the direction my work takes.

Straightening things out
Posted 9 months agoThe whole time I've been posting art publicly, I've been indecisive about how to treat NSFW. As it stood before this post, I had a mishmash of different accounts, all under different names, with different levels of self-censorship. So I've decided to streamline and clarify everything.
My non-explicit or narrative work (comics, illustrations, worldbuilding, etc.) will be posted under the name BluAirSky.
- FurAffinity
BluAirSky
- BlueSky
- Tumblr
My explicit work will be posted under the name Chilemeister.
- FurAffinity (you are here!)
- BlueSky
The BluAirSky accounts will still contain adult themes and be for audiences 18+. However, nudity, and erotic art will go here. I draw both gay male and straight stuff, and my work here will likely include some BDSM themes. If that's not your scene, I encourage you to follow me on my BluAirSky accounts.
Thanks for reading, and pardon my dust! In the meantime, if you have any characters or concepts of mine you'd like to see more of, I'd love to hear!

Heart Across the Gulf is going on hiatus
Posted 9 months agoI regret coming to this conclusion so gradually– in hindsight, it's been inevitable for a while. But with all of my real-life obligations, I cannot manage a serious narrative with a regular, disciplined upload date. Heart Across the Gulf will return once I have a freer schedule and a clearer head, but no sooner than when my semester ends in May. It's a story that's dear to me, so I don't want to half-ass it.
I'll continue drawing (including HATG characters) in the meantime, and will upload more of my illustrations and doodles. Pardon the string of announcements, and apologies for the abrupt hiatus.

Gameplan shift
Posted 9 months agoThis semester has been brutal, so I'm reducing Heart Across the Gulf to weekly updates on Thursdays. I'll be focusing more on illustrations because they take less energy. Thank y'all for your patience, and I hope to return to a quicker upload schedule once I graduate in May!
Check me out on BlueSky!
Posted a year agoI was never active on Twitter as an artist but I figured now was a good time to get started again on BlueSky. Hope to see y'all there!
