Keeping Chimney around
General | Posted 3 months agoI doubt many (if any) of you have noticed, but I retired my old fursona Chimney the lykoi last year. Sleepwalk, my current main sona has been around for almost two years, and they still very much feel like me as a funny animal...but it didn't feel entirely right giving up Chimney after having her for over 10 years. So many people know me as Chimney/Chim, and still call me it, which I don't mind at all! Chimney is the name I've had the longest in my 15+ years in the furry fandom, and I don't wanna give it up entirely. So I brought Chimney back as an "oldie but a goodie" sona/mascot.
I'd like for new people to call me Sleep or Secco, but those who have known me as Chimney can still call me as such! Chimney is still very much me, and I will always be a dumb cat looking thing one way or another!

Starting to enjoy drawing with a mouse!
General | Posted 5 months agoI broke my tablet's connector wire last year and never got around to getting a new one. As a result, I did next to no drawing, because I thought I needed it. But after doing some drawings with a mouse for Art Fight, I realized I draw just as easily with a mouse as I do my tablet! In fact I feel more motivated to draw not just for AF, but in general! It feels like I have a weight off my shoulder...that I can just draw whenever and whatever I want just with a mouse. At this point I may just stay as a mouse artist!

General | Posted 10 months agoSooo this is something I've wanted to do for a while. I've had the Chimney moniker for over 10 years (dang) and I feel I've outgrown it. A lot about me has changed, for better and for worse, and I want to reflect that with an alias change. I'll be retiring my fursona Chimney (and a few others) even though I still love her dearly. In their stead, my "main" fursonas are Vide and Sleepwalk, two characters I resonate with more. The combination of their names is why I changed my username to "Voidwalk", and I feel it reflects me for some personal (and aesthetic lol) reasons. Hopefully FA has a username change feature soon because I really don't feel like moving again-
Will this stick for another 10 years or more? Who knows, but I'm ready to close the Chimney chapter of my life.
(those who knew me as Chimney before this can still call me it, but going forward I'd like to be called Vide or Sleep :'3)

General | Posted 6 years agoHeyo! So I'm trying to save up for a VR headset, so I wanna try to do some commissions! I really enjoy doing ref sheets, so I figured why not?
Refs will be done on a pre drawn base by me, and edited to fit your character. You get:
- A front and back view
- Colour pallet
- 2 outfits
- 2 accessories
- Mouth and eye details
Any extra things cost extra deppending on what it is!
Gonna do these refs for $25! If the character is complex, it may cost more, however.

The FE 2019 experience
General | Posted 6 years agoSo it's been a week since FE, and overall I really enjoyed it!
I of course got a lot of awesome art...and spent WAY too much money. But hey, FE is pretty much the only time of the year I let myself splurge that much. I gave out some bootleg bois (really cheap Pokemon figures) out and they were a huge hit! I loved people's reaction to me offering them, and lots of badly painted Pokemon found a new home! I'm for sure gonna do it again next year!
Didn't get to suit as much as I like, sadly, but I'm hoping I get more opportunities this year!
I didn't really go to many panels (as usual) but the late night drawing panel was a lot of fun! Despite how cramped everyone was, it was really nice to just chill out, do some art trades, and chat. I really hope next year we get a bigger room, because that was probably my favourite part of the con!
I also enjoyed chilling in the hot tub and talking with people. Met a lot of fellow robot/object head lovers, heheh-
My sona, Anemoia, got a lot of compliments which I honestly was not expecting at all. It makes me want to get a suit of her really bad, and hopefully next year I will!
When it comes to negatives, I had a few. For one, I hate how artists at the Dealer's Den were crammed like sardines, and some of my friends vending had really shitty sales. It was really disheartening to see...FE really needs to downsize to a more reasonable number of dealers next year.
I also had an issue with the amount of leather pups I saw. I don't have an issue with them doing their thing...but for the love of cheese and crackers DON'T GO WEARING YOUR FETISH GEAR AROUND CHILDREN! I wish there was a rule or something that puppy play gear is worn after a certain time later in the night. Not when there are 12 year olds. I don't care what you guys do in your rooms as consenting adults, but please don't go wandering around in the general public with your fetish gear. OOF.
I also found the theme really lame? idk, graduation doesn't give a lot of creative ideas other than robes and hats. idk *fart noise*
Overall, I had a really really fun time! I always really enjoy going to FE, it's one of the few times I feel more social, and get to express my furry trash self without being judged. I loved meeting up with old friends, and chatting with new ones. I'm HECKIN PUMPED for next year's theme: Throwback!
