Okay the cat's out of the bag...

I forgot to mention that I am using a newly furbished old laptop with a Cintiq-like screen for my most recent artwork. I also got to try out the Krita, which is a free art program, and I really liked it! I still use my old desktop to scan my sketches and Photoshop to fix it though.

Heck, I can take my laptop everywhere now and finish off some artwork while on the road. ^_^

Now, I have to get some things ready for some commissions so look forward to it sometime in the future.

Yep, you heard it right. I'll be hitting the big 4-0 in six days.

First of all, I have to apologize for not uploading any artwork for a while as I have been very busy lately. I was focusing on finishing off my sewing for an upcoming craft show for the holiday season. So don't forget to check out my Scraps gallery for my sketches.

I forgot to mention that the smog finally cleared up last Sunday in my area thanks to the rain and clouds. (Finally some relief!)

I was also handed some special eclipse viewing glasses from my coworker in order to view it on Monday morning. Even though my area is not in the path of totality (it is going to be 90% for my area), it is such a lifetime for me to finally experience it. My manager is nice enough to let the entire staff view it.

So anyone looking forward to the solar eclipse?

Even though I don't have any respiratory issues, it is really hard to avoid the smog in the Pacific Northwest (and I am the type of person who doesn't like to stay inside.) In case you're wondering about it, the smog came from the wildfires of Northern BC. Sadly I have to wait another week before the rains come in to cool things down.

Speaking of, which Pokemon should I pick for Abigail? Not Conkeldurr or any other muscular-looking Pokemon because it's too obvious. I wanted to break the stereotype.

I am unsure if many artists do this, but I can't believe I have extremely old drawings of mine that I have kept in a folder for nearly over 20 years! Those were drawn while I was in high school and I kinda cringed a little bit because of their faces and eyes. Holy cow! I am glad I don't draw like that anymore.

I finally managed to communicate with this person even though this incident happened... 7 years ago?

Both of us managed to talk about what went wrong and as well as expressing how I was feeling after this incident and how it spiraled out of control. So both of us decided to reconcile our differences and heal our friendship. Sadly, this person's friends have been trying to ruin my life and add more fuel to the fire after I explained to them what had happened. It is also noted that there's no control how those people would behave after all this.

For those of you who are following this person and the drama associated with us, both of us would like to ask you to stop. It's time to move on. Thank you.

It's been a while since I made a journal entry, but I would like to ask for some advice.

You see I have this person who had wronged me in the past and it's been years. They have been holding some issues against me and refused to let go of them, causing me problems. There are some some attempts by this person to hoover me back into their life by pretending to be a random stranger but I did not fall for it after checking out who they are.

As much as I would like to make peace with this person, the problem is I don't trust them.

I got the idea to do this entry after a friend of mine finally made peace with someone after a long time. If they can do that, so can I.

So, how would I go about that?

It is quite beautiful and it opens up the old wounds of my time during high school where I too was bullied and had to deal with a lot of victim blaming from my teachers and parents.

I know the news of this game had been around since last Friday, but I would like to hear your opinions on it despite its early showing. What did you think of it so far? Do you think it's a good to have a FF Tactics/Fire Emblem-style game involving Pokemon?

For some time, I always wanted to see a real-time-strategy game involving Pokemon. Although I can't say if it's good or bad, but IMO this game might have some potential.

You guys remembered the earthquake that rattled Washington DC and the whole entire East Coast a few weeks ago? Well, this earthquake just struck the Pacific Northwest today at 12:40 pm PST.

Although the magnitude of that quake isn't that big, but the seismic activity could be felt in Southwest BC and as far south as in Seattle. Although some people did report of feeling the tremors, I didn't feel anything.

The last time I felt an earthquake in Vancouver was back in 2001.

I am really sad when Capcom cancelled Mega Man Legends 3... I can't believe it! Xo(

However, they made it up to us fans by announcing the updated Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 with brand new characters. Although there are four gameplay videos of Strider, Hawkeye, Firebrand, and Ghost Rider, more characters have already been leaked, including Dr. Strange, Vergil, and Phoenix Wright. One character I didn't expect is Rocket Raccoon (old character yes, but I actually never heard of him.) People have been begging for Squirrel Girl for a while, but I am wondering how will Rocket Raccoon turn out.

Good god, now I am wondering how many characters are going to be in this game.

There are tons of great geek-related crafts online, so don't be afraid to check them out. Maybe you could find some tutorials on how to make plushies of your favorite characters. They may have been around for a LONG time, but I thought it's pretty cool, yet hilarious, to make stuff related to your favorite fandom. I can't tell you the number of times, I've seen tons of Star Wars-related crafts and enjoyed them even though I am not a fan of the series.

More stuff about the upcoming crossover and the official character choices are quite interesting. Some are quite obvious (Ryu, Ken, Guile, and Chun-Li from the SF side; Kazuya, Nina, and King from the Tekken side) but Abel, Murduk and Bob are unexpected surprises. I find that Abel fit into the crossover quite well due to his special moves.

Okay, I forgot to mention that I had just finished Pokemon White and is doing some Global Trading. However, I've noticed that Nintendo Wi-Fi had some communication problems with GTS, but when I viewed some uploaded Battle Videos there is no problem at all. I wonder why.

Speaking of GTS, I did some trading over the last few days and I find quite neat that the Unity Tower opens up whenever you did an international trade. My only complaint about GTS is when you searched for a particular Pokemon to trade with, people wanted legendaries in return. (There is no way I am trading my legendary Pokemon.) So, I did what my friends do; deposit a Pokemon I wanted to trade and request.

Sadly though, I've yet to encounter a trainer who uses Vullaby and Mandibuzz in White, so I could request a trade in GTS.

Just got myself a copy of Pokemon White. YAY! Been playing it for 2 and a half hours, but had to take a break right now. Like with the previous games, I've been trying to "catch them all." ^_^

You know, I am thinking of creating my own characters for the  pokecombatacademy ever since I came across some great pics and characters. I already started some concept character sketches, but is working on background stories for each of them. My usual blond Machoke Maya might be joining in.

Some of my character ideas include:

Nerdy Conkeldurr girl who often forgets her physical strength
Ladies' man Swanna boy
Shiftry girl who leads the PCA Drama Club

I tried some private livestreaming with friends and enjoyed it, but the problem I have when announcing it public is the time line. You see, I go by USA and Canada Pacific Standard Time (PST) and I am fully aware of the different time zones. What is the best time (Pacific-wise) to do so? I also preferred to stream on the weekends as well.

As for the artwork I am going to stream, they'll mostly be G-rated. I won't take the risk of streaming porn though and I've been told that WatchTail sorta sucked.

As soon as I decided on a lineart to stream, I'll tell ya ASAP.

I haven't reserved my copy of Pokemon Black and White yet, but is going to.

Now I wonder why Mega Man haven't been officially revealed yet. I mean, we got Zero and Tron Bonne already; shouldn't he (Volnutt or X) be in it?

As for you Mega Man Legends fans, a third one is also in the works and from what I had gathered, it'll be on the Nintendo 3DS. Despite Inafune had left Capcom back in November, the team is still continuing the development.
