Changing my Commission prices
General | Posted a year agoLike the title says I'm changing my commission prices. With how everything's happening with the economy and how often I'm in the red, I decide to take a look at my prices and see if I'm charging the correct amount for the time and work I do. After some analysis I realized I have been severely undercharging most of the commissions I have been taking as of the past year. The sad part is I had an idea that that was the case some time back, but since it was hard time all around, I chose to keep my prices the same. However I can no longer afford to maintain these prices and I am moving to a different type of pricing system.
Moving forward all commission prices are going to be project based rather then baseline prices across the board.
There will be one exception to this but I'll talk more about that when that comes up. Also I am removing sketches as an option from my commissions, for now, they were there as a cheaper commission option but rarely asked for.

What happened these last few weeks
General | Posted 2 years agoHello everyone, how is your week going so far?
I wanted to give everyone a bit of a heads up with what happen with my posting for the last few weeks.
A lot of shit happened to hit me hard a bit before thanksgiving and it just spiraled out of control. It all started with my home’s tub breaking, the drain pipe detach from the tub to a point of being unfixable and the faucet was leaking a lot of water. We knew it had to be fixed immediately because it could end up being a hazard. While we worked with my husband's family for help on this problem, I got a call from one of my high school friend that another of my high school friends didn’t have much time left and that I should go see her... I visited and stayed with her a few hours as we talked and reminisced. I promised her to visited her the next day since my husband and I had to go and do a few things before the night was over. and as the next day started I got a call from her mother that she had passed that morning. This broke our hearts very much as we cared for her dearly. I was thankful for my sister cheering me up on thanksgiving and for the rest of my family and friends that cheered us up while we were down. the next week the contractor who was hired to fix and remodel of tub to a shower came and it seemed like things were going to pick up from there. We were going to be away from the house for a few days as they fixed it but nothing that would impede my work too much hehe.. and then the contractor found black mold eating away at most of our restroom floor and it was really bad since our home is old, and what should of been a week of work turn into 2 weeks away from home. (As I write this they are still not done, but we are able to be home since the toilet is functional) Also while we were away from home, I got a cold and couldn’t do much until I recovered. I have been trying to recover myself emotionally as these weeks have past, I'm feeling a lot better after going to my friend’s funeral service and seeing and chatting with old friends about good times and what we have been up to. I also have to thank a very generous friend who helped me get a computer for Christmas as my laptop was slowly reaching its end. I’m still not at a 100% yet, but I’m doing well enough to start posting again! and now that I have a computer that can actually handle more than 2 programs at a time lol, I want to try and do things like streaming and editing my CSP recordings and making better speedpaints videos! But for now I going to to focus on catching up on my work and postings.

General | Posted 2 years agoAs I mentioned in my previous journal I’m using Subscribestar and Kofi. My plans are for Subscribestar to contain both SFW and NSFW and for Kofi to be SFW only. Like this I hope to put out things that people would like to see, while still working on my own projects.
Some of the things I want to offer are:
Higher Res Files than what is being posted publicly.
Early Access to finished pieces and art projects.
WIPS: So you cans see what stage of the process the art is in. So you can see how much the art evolves over time
Speed Paints: Which will let you see a time lapse of my process.*
General Thought and Design Process: So I can explain what lead my creative decisions while I do things
Art Advice and Tips: This kind of goes in hand with the general thoughts and design process but I can also share some things that I picked up along the way to this stage of my art career and I hope that it can help others as well.
Learn With Me Sessions Live Stream: I, like many, am always learning to get better at art, and I feel like it might help to learn together rather than separately.*
To give back to those who are supporting my art I want to do Fan Art Suggestion and Polls, as well as Art Raffles.
*At the moment speedpaints are raw clip studio paint records, that I can not edit due to my laptop dying, unfortunately I can’t live stream either. Once I can I will update this.
For those who can’t do the monthly subscription or don’t like those sites, I want to make the monthly contents into purchasable packs. Though since they will be a one time purchase their prices will reflect the amount of content within them.
If these sites do well I eventually want to do art raffles outside of the crowdfunding pages, lower/ offer discounts on commissions, and break into other support tiers like sticker clubs or monthly goody boxes.
If you have any thoughts, ideas or whatever, let me know! I want to hear feedback.

Update & Burnout
General | Posted 2 years agoI’ve come to a realization that I’ve gained burn out of sorts. I had felt this for quite some time now, thinking I just didn’t enjoy drawing as much as I used to. However recently I founded out the reason for this burn out and I think it is due to me moving away from why I started drawing in the first place. The reason I started doing art was because I wanted to bring the stories and characters I had in my head to life, and for the last 5 years, my focus became trying to make money off of my art, working more on commissions than on my own art. It got so bad to a point for a while I felt that I no longer knew how to draw for myself, which got me depressed. Recently though I rediscovered my love of art once again, and I’m the happiest I’ve ever felt in a while, though this is coming at a cost.
I have been noticing that my brain is pushing me to dislike working on commissions. Which is were burnout lies, since commissions are my primary source of income. So I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place were I want to make a shift in my art direction to one that will let me focus more on my own projects, rather than taking more commissions, but I still need to be able to pay my bills. So I’m going to be opening a Subscribestar, and finally using my Kofi, to help support that goal.
This does not mean I will stop taking commissions, if anything I might have to increase prices on them, since I want to do less but still need to make enough to float. So my plans for my crowdfunding pages is that I want to generate a more passive income with the ideas and projects I want to do, while working on commissions, until that passive income can overtake the commissions as primary. This way I can work on my own projects, while still putting out things that people would like to see, and get a proper gauge of what works and what doesn’t.
Another reason I’m leaning towards these pages is interaction. At the moment FA is my most successful gallery, getting the most views, faves and watches, however even with all that I still left unsure on what my viewers like. Well that’s not completely true, I do know about something that pulls in the larges numbers, but I feel if I go all in on that theme, I’ll grow to dislike it very quickly, so I am avoiding that for now until I find a good way to balance it. I also trying to branch out onto other sites since many are unhappy with FA, so I have made an Itaku, and going to to try and use my Twitter and Instagram a bit more. I might even open up a new Deviantart for further reach. If it comes down to it I think I’ll open up a discord sever, at the moment I just don’t know how I want to set it up yet, so I’ll talk more about that later.
Going back to the crowdfunding pages, my current hopes for them is to use the funds’ that these platforms provide for things that are current issues, like getting a new computer fund as my laptop is barely clinging to life, finally being able to get new glasses since my current ones are just barely being held together, and deal with the latest issue of my wisdom tooth that is causing me pain. Of course I also hope it does well enough that, me and my family are no longer living pay check to pay check, but only time can tell on that. So I looking forward to the future and seeing how it plays out.

Commission Prices and Open Date
General | Posted 3 years agoHello! How is everyone?As I said last time, there have been changes to how commissions will be working as well as changes to the prices.
First!I am no longer accepting PayPal, and will be using Stripe invoices from now on! Now before you freak out! You don't need to create an account to pay, all you have to do is have a bank account, and or card associated with it. Second!I will be limiting how many commissions I take. I will have 5 slots total! 2 will be actively worked on the other 3 will be in waiting to be cycled in as the others get finished. This should help me prevent burning-out on working on commissions and give me some room to work on other projects. Once I finish working on those the commission slots will be reopened. Happy New Year! w/ Updates
General | Posted 3 years agoHello, and Happy belated New Year!
How is everyone? Sorry for being so inactive last year, a lot of things happened that slowed me down. I got sick a lot and my mental health wasn’t the best, the beginning of the year was also pretty rough on the wallet, but I’m feeling much better now and my family and I are stable for the time being.
I plan to do more in this coming year! I have asked my husband to help me keep on track so that I am less inactive. I have lots of plans and ideas that I am excited about, for now I will only share a bit with you as I work things out.
First things first! I plan on reopening my commissions in early February, I will also be adopting a limited waiting list and commission slots for my mental health. For now this is all the information on commissions and will give more updates as February nears.
Secondly, I would like to work on more than just commissions as a form of income this year! I have been thinking of adoptable bases for a more passive income, as well as doing YCH’s. I’m also looking at Patreon and SubscribeStar to see what their benefits and negatives are, as well as which one you prefer to use.
The biggest thing I would like to do this year, is to make merch! However, I don’t know what you would all like as merch, or even if you like my personal characters. So I’m asking for your input on that.

January Update
General | Posted 7 years agoHello guys! I just want to update you on what I'm doing now and what I'm going do for future projects.
I also want to ask some questions that have been on my mind for a bit.
At the current moment I currently working on a commission and ideas to reform/ update some old characters, which also includes my fursona Sanura Chita. Most of the characters I'm going to update are over 5 years old and sadly kind of neglected, so it is going to be fun to look back and rework them! Also Valentine's day is coming up so I want to do some pieces with my OC couples if I can!
Also speaking about commission here is my current to do list:

I'm currently open for commission, so if you want a commission please feel free to ask me! I am currently trying to fund two things right now, one being my glasses (which I need to do as soon as possible) and the second is a birthday celebration in March for me and my mate!
Now onto some ideas I have!
First off I want to start streaming again. I have done so in the past and I wouldn't mind doing it again. I want to see if I can offer some affordable stream sketches and maybe other things as well. It is just a matter of seeing which platform to use as I have used picarto in the past and like that I can do both sfw and nsfw there but it lags a lot for me. For twitch I like that I can switch between drawing and gaming and not have to worry about time limits but I can only do sfw. They both have there up and down and I just got to weigh what I like more, however whichever I choose I will make sure to notify and post when I'm streaming.

Lastly as a fun idea that I want to do, is maybe an AMA with some drawn responses, with me or maybe even my characters? I think it would be a good way to get to know me and my characters better.
And with that end my first journal of the year! Hehe.... I'm not very good at writing these, but I want to do more of them than I have in the past. Also my next journal is going to be a journal version of my commission prices and my current to do list. I hope to have that kind of journal posted often. Anyways thank you for reading! =w= /

I also want to ask some questions that have been on my mind for a bit.
At the current moment I currently working on a commission and ideas to reform/ update some old characters, which also includes my fursona Sanura Chita. Most of the characters I'm going to update are over 5 years old and sadly kind of neglected, so it is going to be fun to look back and rework them! Also Valentine's day is coming up so I want to do some pieces with my OC couples if I can!
Also speaking about commission here is my current to do list:

I'm currently open for commission, so if you want a commission please feel free to ask me! I am currently trying to fund two things right now, one being my glasses (which I need to do as soon as possible) and the second is a birthday celebration in March for me and my mate!
Now onto some ideas I have!
First off I want to start streaming again. I have done so in the past and I wouldn't mind doing it again. I want to see if I can offer some affordable stream sketches and maybe other things as well. It is just a matter of seeing which platform to use as I have used picarto in the past and like that I can do both sfw and nsfw there but it lags a lot for me. For twitch I like that I can switch between drawing and gaming and not have to worry about time limits but I can only do sfw. They both have there up and down and I just got to weigh what I like more, however whichever I choose I will make sure to notify and post when I'm streaming.

I'm Alive! Along with a small update~
General | Posted 9 years agoSO I know it has been awhile, and a lot has happened in the time I have been gone.
I lost my internet for 5 months, and I got my first job in October, still employed! My job, though not the greatest, has helped my situation. Anyways I have drawn quite an amount of things while away and I when I got my internet back, I got slightly intimidated by my backlog, so I delayed it and now the backlog is even bigger, so now I’m just going to blow my load and post all of them at once! So this is just a heads up for when you see 20+ submission form me.
Also my commission prices are undergoing a change so please ignore the information that is currently posted. Please contact me if you are interested and want a quote.
Also I’m thinking about doing a stream later on today, so keep an eye out for that as well!
