Anyways, recently got invited to MetroCon 2011 by

Posted 14 years agoIf we watch this, and sit there thinking "Wow, she may have a problem like that, but I don't honestly", and get unhappy about the way it is portrayed, think about this:
How many other shows and things have we been told about in this style, and formed an opinion on immediately, without thinking about how the other people in that social group really are? Furries are diverse, but so are other peoples. It's amazing how big and expansive the world is, and how much there is that we as a single person don't understand.
It's an interesting thing to think about.

Currently on a trip up to Seneca, SC right now, and true to form, I have my trusty camera with me!
I have my D700 and 50mm f/1.8 with me, so armed with only that prime, I plan to document my whole little trip!

Posted 15 years agoI don't usually do memes, but Yuchi suggested I do this one...
[edit] I've been corrected by Yuchi's amazing memory. I swear, she remembers things there's no way I could. It's a gift.
1. Who eats more?
We always eat about the same. Sometimes I plow through a dinner and sometimes Yuchi does. Depends on how hungry we each are.
2. Who said “I love you” first?
I said it!
3. Who is the morning person?
I'm always up at 7 for work... But when Yuchi starts her job you might have to redefine "morning".
4. Who sings better?
Yuchi for sure! She's got a great singing voice and is working to sound like one of her favorite celebrities.
5. Who’s older?
Me!
6. Who’s smarter?
We're both very intelligent. We can do whatever we put our minds to! She's very smart about animals and ferrets.. I'm quite well-versed in techy stuff!

Meee. Yuchi's better at drawing on it though. And she's very good at typing without a key cap on the 'O' key. No idea how she can do that.

First 'date' was a springs outing with our friend Radix.. Neither of us can swim so we just walked around the boardwalk.. Talked a little, hugged, and took pictures and watched the nature..

I don't know really. I think she's more emotionally sensitive.. A very kind person indeed..

Posted 15 years agoOver the past few months, I started talking to a person who randomly messaged me online.
We slowly talked more and more over a month or so.. and finally we met..
We met more and more times, started doing things together, laughing together, being together.
I started feeling things. Things I've never felt before.
Every time I'd see her, be around her, I'd get this glowy happiness. A wonderful warm feeling inside.. Her smile would make my heart melt.
We saw each other more often, and I learned more about her situation and past.. slowly I began to see how much I really meant to her.. We decided a move was in her best interest.
Right now, the love of my life,
lives with me. She is the most wonderful person. She's my better half. She's creative, talented, and funny, where I'm technical, analytical, and funny. Notice we're both funny. We make each other laugh.
Sweetie.. You're everything I've been looking for. You're the person I want to be with forever. I feel so amazing whenever I'm around you. Things are better when you're around. Every time we hold each other or kiss, I feel like we become one.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know that I want to face it with you by my side. Despite everything you've been through in your life, you've kept a sense of humor, a positive outlook, and a truly noble attitude. You're the only one I've ever known like that.
I don't ever want to lose you. You're so very special to me, you're an amazing person and everyone can attest to that.

Mainly I've been busy working on a nifty machine called a RepRap, which is basically a 3D printer. It builds models out of plastic.. So whatever you can model on a computer, it can print out of plastic. (for the most part) For those techie peoples, it's a FDM rapid prototyper. I shall use it for experementing and playing around with.

Posted 15 years agoI spent all today having fun outside of the house.. and tomorrow I'm going to be working on the MakerBot at FamiLAB, so I may or may not be posting more pictures until monday.. I still have about 2000 to go through so it'll take awhile :P Also need to go and develop the RAW files from the Surf Cat photo shoot at FWA.

The trip!
Posted 16 years agoWell the trip out here has been pretty good so far.. It's pretty hot, as Arizona usually is during the summer. About 110 degrees daily.. It's not unbearable, but isn't super pleasant. I'm going to have to be doing some work outside in a day or so and i'll need plenty of sunblock and a hat.
The pictures I posted this morning were from the flights over into yuma international airport.
it's been alright here. I'm looking forward to coming back home, but i'm not homesick. I want to get my motorcycle finished quite badly, and I also hafta head out after a week of being back, this time to Georgia.
anyways, not too much else to talk about really.
