Nope. Not gonna hide from whats been happening anymore even though I want to just curl up into a ball and stay there forever.

Please, just be patient with me. I still want to do commissions here but I need to get my life in order. My last journal was before I got the news about my ThinkGeek office being shut down. I even applied to be the Senior Designer there ( because lets be honest, I was already do ing senior designer work with NO BOSS FOR A YEAR) and then all job openings got put on hold. I've been applying to jobs and going on interviews for 3 months and its been exhausting....

I put my 2 weeks notice in at ThinkGeek yesterday. GameStop wants everyone to move down to TX bcause they can't afford the VA office.... and hardly any of us can just uproot our lives and move. We have been dropping like flys, quitting or finding new jobs. And I'm pretty sure that ThinkGeek will be completely dead or just NOT the same after GS takes over..... the executives don't know how to run a company....

So I quit.
And I'm flipping sad because I love my co-workers. LOVE. But we are all trying to jump off this sinking ship. And not all of us are going to make it....

For 5 years I was their Graphic Designer and Illustrator. And i was IN LOVE with my job.
But my new job starts this month. And so it's a new adventure. I just want to get acclimated in this new role before i start taking on work here.

We are working on it.

Hello again,

I am such a butt. I know.

It's been about 3 years since I've been actually active on here. I only used to get on here for AnthroCon updates, but after spending time with my fur family this past weekend at AnthroCon 2018, I really do miss making artwork here and being a part of the community. I'd like to have a fresh start on here with you all starting now.

Before moving to VA and getting my job at ThinkGeek, I was pretty depressed. I broke up with my boyfriend of 7 years about 4 years ago. There was a lot of bad blood and I went into a very dark place for a long time, doing things I wound normally do.... putting myself in physical danger and just not caring about my life. It was not a good time and I regret a lot of things...

BUT.

Since then, I've come a long way. I have a boyfriend who is the most supportive and caring person I know. He basically pulled me out of the gutter and back on my feet. I honestly don't know where I would be without him. (Probably dead. No joke.) He is my Co-worker and best friend, dating for about 1 year.

I'm currently a competitive pole dancer, and won 1st place at the Atlantic Pole Competition in 2017. I train every week and I love how my body has gone from battered and broken to strong and solid. I still work at ThinkGeek, and while i love my job its become unbearably stressful as my boss quit a year ago and I'm the only designer doing all the work. I'm pretty unhappy there, but I hope that changes soon.

I also have a stressful living situation atm. I've just about fled my apt, so I don't really have a "home" persay. ( I won't get into it unless asked, because I actually start to get panic attacks when talking about it.) But in September I'll be moving in with my boyfriend and when I do I know I'll feel so much better and happier to start doing commissions and other art again.

I'm sorry if I've been absent. I really do miss this community and you all. I've met so many wonderful furs and I miss making artwork and just posting. Its therapeutic. After Sept I will be taking commissions again, I just want to get my life in a spot I'm decently happy with.

I'm not sure if any of you even read these anymore. I know I've been MIA for about a year, but it's getting to be that time again, AnthroCon 2016! One of the few times I come out of the wood work, see me in the wild. i shall entertain you with song and drink!

I've been gone a long time and I'm sorry to leave some of you hanging. I appreciate the watches, comments and all. It brings a smile. But, right now I'm not exactly feeling like myself. Been dealing with a lot of changes in my life, it's been hard at times and every once and a while I'm not sure how much I can take. So, I've decided to try and make my life better. Include things in it that I get enjoyment out of and such.

This is a new attempt at getting my life back to where I want it. Doing productive things and being independent as a person :) So that means getting more motivation, doing more improved art, staying healthy, keeping active. I want to be stronger, emotionally, and be able to be on my own.

Alrighty,

This update needed to happen a while ago but let me just fill you in on what has happened.

Not sure if most of you know. My grandmother’s house burned down at the end of summer, she had been living with us (along with my uncle) for 7 months. They just moved out into their newly fixed home the other day. So I can finally have my studio space again instead of doing everything on my bed! But I'm just happy she is safe in her new home :)

In early December I was laid off from my job. The way my boss actually went about letting me go was frustrating and lets just say there was guilt money involved. I am still on good terms with my former colleagues but I am out of work. I’ve been applying to jobs left and right, with a few interviews here and there but the search is still fairly new and I need something close.

I was supposed to go to an interview today, but they had to reschedule due to a snow storm. What really pisses me off is that I get all the way up there and knock on the door 3 times (because I can hear people inside they are just not answering), this was at 10:40am. Mind you my interview was at 11am. So I call, and they said they sent me an email this morning saying they needed to reschedule. With such late notice I would at least expect a phone call or something! I told them in the email confirming our meeting that “ I will be there pending you are still open due to weather conditions. “I even check my email this morning and there was nothing.


So when I get home, I check my email one more time and see they sent a notice at 10:43 between the time I was knocking on the door and when I called. It was extremely unprofessional...... I guess what made me more pissed off was the fact I got myself all worked up and nervous for nothing. Well the game has changed. Next time I go in there I’m going to ask about their company and really see if they are a good fit for me. No more BS.

I just need a job asap… ( story of everyones life right? lol)

Anyway, my boyfriend’s parents are selling their house and moving ton Indiana. Since he is not going with them he will be moving in with us. The house is up for sale and I really have no idea what is going to happen at this point but I just hope it all works out. His room would be right next to mine. I enjoy my alone time, It will be a big adjustment...

I also signed up for a designer mentor mentee program and was paired with a really great Caricature artist/ Art Director for a mentor. We have yet to meet again due to the storm :/ Soon!

Which brings me to right now. I am working on gift art and other FA related work today. With breaks of Skyward Sword and wine in between. That game is F-ing amazing. I can’t even! I seriously need to play Twilight Princess too. Good Lord.

But I digress.

FA artwork is my priority for today and hopefully Sunday!

Been a while since I last updated but it is prolly worth knowing I have not died yet :)

I am officially working another job, one where I can still do graphic work just closer to home. I know this is only a part time thing but i needed more money.

The other job is great but being fresh out of school and trying to work like a senior designer in such a small studio is challenging. Most days are good, but when they are bad, it's bad lol.

For future art projects I want to do icon commissions. I might refine my commissions list to select work like badges, icons, Derp Inks, fun toys/art and the occasional adult commission. Speaking of the adult commissions my adult account will be opening for commissions once I finish my list and redo my profile.

Tonight I had a conversation with some friends who I haven't seen in a long time. They have always said I should become a tattoo artist but I just never really saw myself being any good at it. Well tonight we were talking about it and I actually started to visualize myself tattooing.I started to get really excited because it seemed like all the pieces were there I just needed to go and do it!

Maybe I actually can be a tattoo artist. I love illustrating more than anything in the world and it seems to be what I am known for. I have a good idea on composition and color as well as formal artistic training. Nothing is really holding me back so why not right? I think I did say I needed another job and I feel like the tattooing lifestyle is something I would be comfortable in. I'm going to put together a portfolio and do some research over the weekend.

If any of you have good reading material or advice on tattooing I would love love looove it if you sent it my way~

This weekend my mate and I are traveling to Dover for the the Air Force Ball. I feel like such a girl lol. My nails and hair are done and I just feel pretty :3 tonight is going to be awesome. Plus open bar, everything is better with an open bar.

Since my mate also has his drill after the ball I will be staying up there all weekend. We have free internet so I plan on doing some more art while he is at work. Hopefully I can make this weekend as productive as possible. There might be a scanner at the hotel so any finished pieces will yes scanned.

I am getting a little afraid though. When I dropped my computer a few months ago I never noticed a problem, but my internet keeps going in and out. I have always been able to fix it by just turing it on then back on, but I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I dropped it :X

Iam trying so hard to finish this gift list in a timely manner D:
I feel so flipping bad I haven't been on in a while but I just honestly have nothing good to show right now :/

A few weeks ago work kicked my butt. I got pulled aside because i was working too slow. It's not my skills its just how fast I need to get things done for the client. My boss tells me it will come in time but as far as efficiency goes, Im not making the cut... Anyway, it put me in sort of a funk and I got all depressed thinking I wasn't a good enough designer and blah blah blah. Its that kind of thinking that will sabotage a spirit. I must stay positive. MUST. Things have been better this week. i just gotta keep it up.

Also,I just wanted to share a small accomplishment :)

My old professor ( who is now the GD chair at my old college), emailed me today and asked if she can use my font on the GD computers. This was what I spent all year on last year and never had a life lol. Well it is paying off! She suggested giving me a donation for my efforts ( even though it is a free font). I am really proud of this silly little font. Letters and crafting letters is my passion. Sadly most people never notice the nuances of and A or R, something I could stare all day at. But I won't bother you with that. Im a nerd when it comes to type. Thats besides that point.

Been a few weeks since I made an update.

I don't think I have told many of you this but I do some freelance design on the side. Right now I am creating a logo for someone and I am so afraid they don't like it. The feed back they give is not much of feedback. I try to ask they what they do or do not like about the work I have presented, letting them know that it is okay for me to go back and redo it with out extra charge. I just want them to be happy. My client said they ARE happy with the product even if they don't look like it. I just feel like i see in there face that they are unsatisfied. I could be making this all up in my head. But this is my first one on one freelance logo design with a client. Chow is just a worrier and wants to make sure her patrons are happy D: But I swear I will end up making myself sick with worry if I don't stop.


Anyway.... For the rest of the day I will be trying to finish some FA art and a table thats needs to be painted. I just wish who ever build the weekend added one more day. Just, one more lol.

My wallet is lost/stolen. All the money I made from AC gone. So stupid of me to keep it all in one place I just can not believe myself right now! Ive already cried all the tears I can cry so now I'm just numb. I don't even know why I try to do anything at all ever!

I was catching the train back from work and I stopped at Roti, the Mediterranean grill in Union Station. Well I set my wallet down to get my stuff together and I left for my train. I didn't need to check my wallet until I got home and realized it wasn't there. Of course panic set in and I had tunnel vision like you wouldn't believe.... So trying to call anyone was a feat.

I take the next train right back to Washington DC and search Union Station calling all security and police to help me find my stupid wallet. One of the Roti cashiers said they found it and gave it to security. Well, security didn't have it. I went back and forth between security, police and the Roti people and still nothing. After filling out some paper work the police office said he has had reports of the Roti people and didnt trust them. He said they report finding something and then say they didn't almost in the same breath several times in the past. WTF.

I have the biggest gut feeling that they have it. But what can I do?! Nothing! I canceled my bank card and need to get a new license this weekend but money is just money and replaceable right? So why am I still kinda pissed.... I just wish I wasn't so stupid in that moment. God. I wish time travel was real....


Going to still work on stuff just pardon me if I'm not too talkative for a few days.

Came back yesterday from AC. It was bawlin, as usual lol. I managed to finish all my derp commissions at the con so I have no take home work :D yay. I hope all of those you got one are happy. I enjoy doing them however I underestimated how many people love cheap cute things and became swamped x_X. A lesson for next year, learn to say no XD.

Aside from that, unpacking is going to be funnnnn -sarcasm-. I am completely sleep deprived and completly lost my voice. Prolly from howling at the rave too much but whateva. I also know I still need to mail out the rest of the raffle prizes and do my gift arts D: Don't worry I have not forgotten about you <3. I'm just a little slow at the moment but things should pick up soon.

Woo~ Actually got internet here in the hotel! Well AC is going pretty good. I met up with awesome fur friends, made some new fur friends, raved, sold some art, bout some art and even gave my autograph XD. That was fun <3

The Artists Alley today was great. my Derp Inks blew up... I had to up the price because I was getting so swamped. ChowChow needs to raise her prices more cuz she is too cheap :X

Anywayz. I will be getting grub with mah peeps, then heading to the Zoo to finish up some last Derp Inks. These are only available at the con, I know I'm sorry. But I am having so much funnnnnn doing these.

Exciting times!!! This is our 3rd year going together and It prolly will not be the last! We will all be in the Artists Ally at some point so check us out if you can, or just stop bye to say hi :)

I will be selling Derp inks like last year, for the convention only and for a limited time. I will also be open for custom sketchbooks. I hand bind sketchbooks, both Coptic, Japanese stab and Traditional. I want to see if these go well at the con before opening up commissions for these on FA.

Last time I talked about how I felt this awful pain in my chest due to what I thought was a panic attack. I went to the doctors and they told me I pulled a muscle. I must hurt the muscle pretty deep because lemme tell you, I thought I was having a heart attack. Either way, I am fine and healthy so all is good :) Thank you to those who sent notes and messages about my health. That really made me feel better <3

I might be behind the time but I want to put a little post about my newest infatuation. I bought the World War Z book the other day and I'm already half way done XD. It seems as if the book is separate from the movie, which I like. And our family as well as my mates family are going to see the movie today and I am Soooooooooooo excited! :D My favorite part is not only the destruction and pure chaos~ but how and where the infection originated from. I wanna see how they play this one out.

Also, just keeping people in the loop. During my thesis at school, my computer took a nasty tumble on the road D:
So now there is this huge dent in the side where my hard drive is. Luckily the only thing damaged as far as software is my camera. This is why I was having such a hard time trying to figure out a PC camera and settings when doing my raffle. Sorry again about that. Lame I know lol. But anyway, I finally came up with enough money to get it fixed! It should be sometime next week. I will try to still post art but it might be a little difficult. We shall see.

I have this horrible pain in my chest. But it's not even my chest, its my breast. The pain gets almost unbearable when I get mad, stressed, breath too deep or move too fast. It started at work. I was on a project and its the dead line but there is no time left. I successfully made the deadline but right after that my chest starting hurting. The pain stops when I'm asleep or sitting. The doctor suggested to me that it was just a pulled muscle. I hope thats all. Work makes me so stressed out.

....too bad I love it.
