RAZE is apparently a thing again. And with this world comes the baggage of the main villains - the Dogs of War.

Any tips on making "good" bad guys? Ones whose motives are plausible to some extent and go beyond "we're evil"? If you've seen my gallery, I can make plenty of heroes, but creating villains gives me trouble (ooh, I sense the irony!).

Hey, I love women of many shapes and sizes, and I can appreciate that some are not as "blessed" as others.

But yeah right; gimme boobs any day of the week.

Some of you noticed that I rarely, if ever, make fan art of pop culture characters like Krystal Fox, Roxy Wolf, Sally Acorn, etc.

There are reasons for this, and I will explain some of them. First and foremost, I DON'T WANT TO! I have my own catalog of OC's I love and cherish. Why would I forsake them for someone else's creation that gets enough love and attention from the furry community as is? Everybody and their grandma have drawn Krystal Fox. There is no shortage of such art. You don't need me to draw it, and I don't want to draw something I really don't give a shit about.

Another reason? These characters have to look a certain way, otherwise people won't recognize them. This entails lots of research, getting all the details, structures, colors, etc. perfect, because if I don't, people will complain. "This is off, this is wrong, she doesn't look like my waifu, therefore, you suck!" Okay, so that's not what they say, but that's what I read. And again, why waste all that time for something my heart is not in in the first place?

Maybe the stars will align, and I will draw a popular character the community and I love. Just know that there are reasons why this is a rarity.

And because my hypocrisy knows no bounds, my birthday is November 1st, and I want prezzies! So get drawing!

I don't fully understand the science behind the "Doomsday Clock", but I know it can't be good when you're 100 seconds to Midnight.

I also love Raquel and River and the dynamic they have and used to have.

I even love Rakura, even if he is Vash with a palette swap.

I'd like to announce that today marks the 50th Wedding Anniversary of my parents, Linda and Peter Johnston.

In this day and age of Vegas Weddings and Quickie Divorces, I do feel this is something to commemorate, as many marriages lately don't even last fifty days.

So I give my folks a medal of endurance is basically what I'm trying to say. =P

Everywhere I go, I keep running into the same story. People want to approach me, ask for something, start a conversation, maybe even want to be my friend. But they're all afraid of me.

Speaking of comics, I feel like sharing that I am currently working on a Raze comic in conjunction with Sakaki. It's still in the planning phases, but hopefully some pages will be seen in the near future. I don't know when or how long it will last at this point, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.

I know nothing of webcomics. I do understand though that it is difficult to keep a consistent tone for numerous years. So when a comic shifts from light-hearted fun to darker more dramatic themes, it's going to raise eyebrows. Hell, I remember people being up in arms over Ctrl-Alt-Del's "miscarriage" arc, and I'm starting to see the same things happen with the latest updates of Chalodillo's Las Lindas comic.

We can bitch and moan all we want, but this is his child, so we should have faith that he knows what he's doing. At least, I sincerely hope he does. It will be interesting to see how he digs his way out of this hole.

I was planning on greeting August full force with a fat bunny pinup each day of this celebrated week. If it were Fat Skunk Week, Sexy Skunk Week, or even Micky Week for that matter, I would have. But seeing as I have no regular fat bunny character, anything I create would be soulless, empty, and ultimately despised by me down the road of time.

So, I'm sorry, but I'm not doing it.
