I was planning on greeting August full force with a fat bunny pinup each day of this celebrated week. If it were Fat Skunk Week, Sexy Skunk Week, or even Micky Week for that matter, I would have. But seeing as I have no regular fat bunny character, anything I create would be soulless, empty, and ultimately despised by me down the road of time.

It has come to my attention that I like Trigun. It's the only reason why my friends are alerting me to the new Trigun animation coming out next year. It's all still speculation at this point about what it is and how it will be handled, but let me assure you I am excited. =3

I've been relaying this to people on Discord throughout the week, but it's time I made it known to everyone.

Our dog, Rio, is not well. She's been deteriorating for a few months now, but I did not think much of it. When the appetite is affected though, that causes alarm. Being a pit bull Labrador mix, Rio was a very hungry girl and would eat virtually anything edible. So when she didn't come to mooch for scraps at the dinner table one night, even I knew something was up.

We did an ultrasound on her, and it turned out she has several liver cancers that had spread into the spleen. Now, we dealt with cancer in pets before, with our first dog, Miskey. We tried invasive surgery on her, but after two or three weeks of pain and agony for all parties, she eventually passed any way. So with Rio, we're doing the kinder thing and having her put to sleep on Monday.

This will be the third dog who has come and gone from our family, and let me tell you, saying goodbye does not get any easier. Tuesday evening, I was a total waterworks coming to terms with this news. I imagine more tears will be shed during and after these next few days.

As you may imagine, this has thrown my mood completely out of whack, and it is the reason I have not been as productive as I would have liked this week. I love fat furries, but there are times and places for fat furries, and this week, they were very distant on my mind.

So, that's what's been up with me.

A friend and I were talking about Star Wars what with this being May the Fourth, and it got me thinking about how I used to be a huge Star Wars fan until one day, I think around the time the prequels came out, my enthusiasm for the franchise gradually wore away until I felt nothing.

So of course, I began thinking of all the other big names from my childhood that I grew to care less about over time: Star Trek, James Bond, Transformers, etc. Call it growing up, call it the industry milking stuff dry, but some things just don't interest me any more.

Any of you feel the same? Anything you recall being giddy about way back that stirs no feelings today?

I'm glad there are viewers who understand what I draw is pure fantasy devoid of logic and explanation. However, there are still some out there who insist on bringing logic and reason into my universe. All I can say is quit it. Reality is no fun, and trying to apply its rules to art ruins everything.

To prove my point, let us examine "Day of the VeCats II" and the number of ways this picture is impossible.

First of all, they're talking cats that walk like humans. That says it all, don't it? However, we continue with that they're talking in the vacuum of space. Even if sound did carry, the lack of oxygen and atmosphere would result in explosive decompression.

Also, their sizes are an issue. Let us ignore the cataclysmic results of two such huge bodies in such proximity to Earth, and instead talk proportions. One, giants are impossible because of the mass to weight ratio of muscles. Even so, their breasts would destroy their spines. And most of all, their BMI and fat contents would leave them immobile, unable to stand, stricken to a life...no...existence of pure misery before their hearts exploded from the efforts.

So yeah. I just proved that I know what I draw is impossible in every aspect of logic. That's why I say Reality can kiss my fluffy butt!

I realize I should do what I enjoy most, but it's getting to the point where even I'm admitting I have a problem.

It's true I rely heavily on swimwear a lot; and if the girls aren't in swimsuits, most of the time they're wearing nothing at all.

I have nothing against shirts and jeans. Shirts and jeans are great too. I guess I need more diverse settings and contexts, ones that go beyond the beach and the bedroom.

This is no way indicative of a real game, but the last batch of doodles did get me thinking, and I'm sure some of you are curious as well. If I were to make an RPG based on my and friends' OC's, here is how it would play.

You would start by selecting one of four premade characters (Lucy, Sasha, Asuka, and Honey) or creating one of your own. You would then embark on an adventure with one goal in mind: To be accepted as a permanent part of this realm. To do so, you must face off against the Core cast who appear as Bosses, either befriending them or slaying them.

Be careful in your choices though. The final challenge is The Leviathan, and to get the true "Good" ending, you cannot have killed a single Boss. If you have, she will refuse your offer of friendship and smite you, and it's Game Over or "Bad" ending.

A little meta? Sure. "Undertale" inspired? You betcha. But we need more games that offer choices beyond "Kill everything". Besides, this is just a silly fun idea I've had that's been brewing for the last few hours.

Oh yeah, and happy April. No joke today.

You all know Sasha, don't you? My big fat black cat with an even bigger appetite? It looks like she'll be around a little longer if not here to stay, but apart from one encounter with Sakaki, she hasn't really said much.

There is a reason for this; a very convoluted, obtuse one, but a reason nonetheless. In an attempt to sum it up, I don't really know her character at this point. She loves to eat, and that's about as far as I've gotten. And really, that's as far as I want to get with her. No reason getting invested in an OC I may trash. Although, I don't plan on trashing her at this point. So maybe I should...oh good grief. ><

Any way, when you look at Sasha, what kind of voice do you hear? What sort of things would she say? I'm curious now.

(Frivolous, but we needed to bump off that OTHER Journal entry, didn't we? Thank you to all who offered calm and sane words. That's really what we need more than ever these days - calm and sanity.)

I know I shouldn't listen to the news. They sensationalize, trivialize, and distort the facts. But Jesus Christ, how can I escape the new threat? I have to fear Russia again? What is this? The 1950's? It was bad enough when North Korea was acting up, but we were all secure in the knowledge that they did not have the power or resources to be a threat. Unfortunately, Russia does.

Why are our world leaders insane? Everyone agrees war is bad, and yet there's nothing our leaders want more than a good old-fashioned war. They say those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. If that's the case, our world leaders flunked high school, because they have not learned squat, and that is why history is constantly repeating itself.

I shouldn't worry, but every time I hear a plane fly overhead, I look up to see what kind it is, just to make sure it's not the kind that's dropping a bomb on me. Although, at the rate we're going, perhaps I should welcome the nuke. It sure would end all my problems. Sure, it may hurt for a few seconds as the extreme heat and shockwave melts and tears the flesh from my bones, but...actually, no but. I can't put a positive spin on even that.

Sorry to be a downer, but even my favorite music isn't cheering me up right now.

Okay, wrong answer. I have no problems drawing males. In fact, I have drawn males. Remember Rakura? Canis? Bull? And judging by the incredibly low interest these OC's garnered, it's safe to say that my watchers aren't really that interested in me drawing males either.

I'm not biased, if that's what you're thinking. Birds are cool, but those feathers and wings are extremely hard to render properly. So why don't I draw birds? For the sake of my sanity mostly. (Which is a poor excuse, because practices does make perfect, but moving on...)

It's honestly because I derive no pleasure from them. I've seen way too many perfect breasts ruined by dinner plate suction cup tits. So yeah, I don't like them.

Okay, I haven't been asked this one as frequently as the others, but I might as well address it now.

It's because, again, I get no pleasure from them. I am a clean artist. Get over it.

A friend of mine had a dream last night. It was of a chunky white bunny with thick rimless glasses, soft blond hair, and a burgundy dress down to her thighs. To which they said they think they dreamed of Honey Bunn's mother.

This got a good laugh out of me, but then it also got me thinking about bringing back Honey yet again along with this new motherly rabbit. And once again I'm on the subject of the fear of too many OC's stagnating.

I think it's safe to say the characters I marked as "Meh" in the last Journal can fade away, with the exception of Lucy and Sasha, since I am finding some things for them to do that I legitimately enjoy. So their status can be bumped up to "Like", if that pleases you.

The "WANNA BE..." OC's are nice to have around, especially Razor and Revy, because I enjoy their sisterly dynamic, probably more so than the whole giant raccoon thing. So, they're all safe.

"RAZE", on the other hand, I think it's safe to close that project for the time being. That train has left the station. That ship has sailed. I'm not enjoying racking my brain trying to keep it breathing. Plus, it's clear that most people aren't having much fun with it either, but that's not the deciding factor; I promise you that. It is because I'm not having any more fun.

Before you panic, I'm not deleting anything (no matter how much I'd like to sweep my failures under the rug).

So yeah, be on the lookout for the return of Honey Bunn and the introduction of her mother.
