Gay Porn? Yeah, Right
General | Posted 4 years agoSo some jackoff going by multiple names has been posting comments promising gay porn and providing a phony-baloney link. I'm too smart to fall for this, and I hope you are too. I can't stop this guy, but I am hiding his comments as fast as they pop up. I know you mean well, but you can stop warning me about him now.
And if you are that asshole posting these comments...CUT IT OUT!!!

Clutter
General | Posted 4 years agoI think I have a problem.
Shocker, huh? Hear my out.
I have this nagging little voice in my head that says, "But I might need it later."
This is why I still have anime collections like "Witchblade" and "Maze". This is why I still have Van Der Graaf Generator CD's, in case the next time I listen they'll finally stick. This is why I still have computer adventure games on CD's (yes, CD's! Not DVD's!). This is why I still have a Wii.
Now, I'm not a hoarder. I know there's no sentimental value in a used diaper. But I'm still collecting stuff that's taking up space, collecting dust, never getting played, used, or watched. And most of all, this collecting habit is eating up money I can't afford to spend.
So, I think I have a problem. How do I contend with this?

Themed Days (?)
General | Posted 4 years agoSo I was just thinking. June is coming up soon; new month, new opportunities to try something different. So maybe starting June I can try some themed days, sorta like how Jollyjack has Titan Tuesdays, Werewolf Wednesdays, and Feline Fridays.
I already have some ideas for potential themes, like:
MONDAY - Macro, Muscle, Micky (yes, THAT Micky)
WEDNESDAY - "Wanna Be"
THURSDAY - Thick
FRIDAY - Fat, Freeform (where I draw whatever the hell I want)
SATURDAY/SUNDAY - Sexy, Skunk (whether it be Chris, Kelsey, or someone else)
I would probably start with like two per week, then perhaps extend it to three if it goes well. Any other ideas for potential themes that I can do?
Ciao!

Reality
General | Posted 4 years agoSo...
REALITY won't allow a woman as buxom as Kelsey to do that Yoga pose.
REALITY won't allow a woman as big as Winry to do Yoga.
REALITY won't allow a woman as big as Winry, period.
Well, you know what I have to say about REALITY, don't you?
(Say it with me, kiddies...)
I REJECT YOUR REALITY AND SUBSTITUTE MY OWN!

4/20/2021 - Wassup?
General | Posted 4 years agoI feel like a weekly update.
Some friends of a friend are apparently concerned about me. They say I've been a little bit "different" these last few days. Maybe I have; maybe I haven't. I don't really notice; I guess I can't really notice. But, y'know, don't worry too much about me. I'm doing just fine. As the late great Jerry Garcia once sang, "I will get by; I will survive." =)
So how have YOU been?

P.S. 4-20, dur hur...

General | Posted 4 years agoIf the skunk drops below four drawings a day, he will explode!
Okay, seriously though. I get a lot of comments about how fast I work, and quite a few express amazement with how rapidly I can produce multiple works in the course of a day.
There are a few reasons for this. One, it's how I was trained. The professors of the (defunct) Art Institute of Phoenix stressed quick production while also adhering to quality standards. It's one of those practices that have stuck with me over the years.
Two, I hate idling. My brain needs occupation. A mentally engaged skunk is a happy skunk, and drawing engages, relaxes, and entertains. And ever since I went digital, it's been easier than ever for me.
I've been trying to slow down, reminding myself this is not a race. Hopefully, I have not been sacrificing quality while quantity is certainly increasing.
So yeah. I know I'm speedy. Very little I can do about it. More drawings to come. =P

The Miz
General | Posted 4 years agoThere are times I feel sorry for Mike Mizanin. That sounds unusual feeling sorry for a guy who has everything, but hear me out.
When I see him lately, he may be acting cool and stuff, but I can see him crying on the inside. I look at that face, and I hear him saying, "I used to be a winner. I used to be a headliner. I used to be Mister Money in the Bank. I used to be the Champ...for about two weeks. Now look at me. I'm dancing around in a bunny suit, and my Wrestlemania match is against some flash in the pan rapper called Bad Bunny. Whose car did I piss on to deserve this kind of treatment?"
This does, of course, require you to be familiar with the events of RAW, and again, if you're not, consider yourself lucky.
And AEW? I saw that match between Cody Rhodes and Shaquille O'Neal of all people. I was so happy to see Shaq go through a table, you have no idea. And overall, what I thought was a new outlet for wrestling talent is instead turning into where the WWE rejects go to die.
Sorry. Bit of a downer, but it needed to be said.
Next time I'll try to have something positive and uplifting to say.

Stupid Smarch [sic] Weather...
General | Posted 4 years agoIt's getting warm outside, so the inside's getting warm too. But it's not hot enough to turn on the A/C, and the pool is still too cold. So, we in Phoenix have no choice but to suffer while those in Jersey are just thawing out.
The only upshot of all this is that I am justified in drawing bikini babes very soon.
You have been warned.

The Ratings Game (Naughty Chris!)
General | Posted 4 years agoI am the very model of a modern Major "General"...
The recent Chris and Kelsey pic raised at least one set of eyebrows. A friend politely suggested that it be slapped with a "mature" rating. I politely disagreed. I have seen naughtier things on DA/FA under the "general" flag, and since I do not see any nipples or private parts, I fail to see how it qualifies as "mature" at all.
Okay, granted, there is a sexual theme to it, an implied one. But if we're going to split hairs over implied sex on Internet art galleries, we are going to be here a very long time.
I do sometimes push the limits of good taste, but I pride myself as a "general" man. There's being naughty, and then there's being full blown nasty. Even at my naughtiest, I try not to cross that line.
I hope you do agree.

Calm Down
General | Posted 5 years agoI am okay, people. My head is fine. If something like a concussion had happened, the last thing I would be doing would be making art about it.
I am just going through yet another one of my "moods". I just do not really want to talk about it at this point. It is nothing catastrophically major, so please do not panic or fret, etc.
I will get by. I will survive.

Who's Who?
General | Posted 5 years agoI thought we were all squared away on who's who when it comes to the cast of "Chris and Company". But apparently, there are STILL people having difficulty in this area. So this will be my final attempt to set this matter straight.
Reference picture: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40430309/
First, MY OC's...
CHRIS: Green skunk. Me, the master of my universe (or so I should be).
KELSEY: Grey skunk. Chris' impossibly beautiful (and buxom) girlfriend. Loves the Beatles.
DARYL: Oldest VeCat sister. Former porn star and current multi-billion dollar owner of VeCat Industries. The TALL one.
NEVE: Youngest VeCat sister. Fit freak, AWE Champion, lesbian, and closet chubby-chaser. The LITTLE one.
REESE: Middle VeCat sister. Loves sandwiches. The FAT one.
KRYSTAL: "Black" skunk. Former high school cheerleader. Struggles with her weight.
HONEY: White rabbit. Magician. Suffers from "The Swells".
GEENA: Pink skunk. Chris' saccharinely sweet mother.
And then those I do NOT own...
MICKY: Purple leviathan. Giant interdimensional goddess. Loves food and 70's prog rock.
JAKE: White wolf. Reese's boyfriend.
WINRY: White polar bear. Nurse and swim instructor. Loves "balloonies."
ANY QUESTIONS?!

'Kelsey 1/27/2021 1' - What Happened?
General | Posted 5 years agoSome of you are having troubles seeing the image titled "Kelsey 1/27/2021 1". https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40339232/ I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but let me give you my side of the story.
When I uploaded it, FA was being a real bitch. When I hit "Finalize", my browser spun its wheels for like a good minute (maybe longer), a sure sign that I was going to get an error message if history has taught me anything. So I hit "Stop", waited, and hit "Finalize" again. And POW! Double upload. So I deleted one, and that's how we got where we are now.
I really don't know if this is the cause, but I felt I should explain what happened on MY end. For the record, I see the submission just fine on multiple devices. So, I don't know what's going on.
Any suggestions on how to rectify this?
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Back to 'Normal'
General | Posted 5 years agoHey there. The art thief's dealt with...for now, and people agree that women should be treated like women rather than dogs you can stick your dick into. So everything is as it should be for the time being. I do have some things I want to talk about (RAZE, "Back to the Future part II", etc.), but those can wait for a later date. For now though, let's just relax and enjoy the smexy furries.

Art Theft
General | Posted 5 years agoHey everyone.
First of all, I am well aware some swine took two of my old drawings and altered them without permission or due credit to me.
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39374892/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39448087/
Am I pissed about this? You bet your buns I am! However, this kind of thing is going on all the time, and I am virtually powerless to stop it. I/We may squash one ant, but a whole colony of the buggers will only arise.
So yeah, this is my open letter to all those people who want to alter and post my pics. I can't stop you, but at least have the decency to either A) ask permission to do so, B) give me credit for the original drawing, or C) BOTH!
Have a good day.

Love the Ladies
General | Posted 5 years agoI'm gonna try to address this without naming names, pointing fingers in general directions, or being too preachy.
I sometimes get the feeling that there are people out there who don't really respect women, treat them like they're their playthings, etc. You know the type. You've probably talked to a few of them.
Sounds rich coming from me, the man who specializes in sexualizing the female form, right? Well, here's the deal - at the end of the day, I respect women. Maybe it was the way I was raised. Maybe I'm a sensitive new age guy. Whatever the deal, while I love women, I also LOVE them, if that makes sense.
So treat women, even the fictitious furry ones, well. That's really all I say and can ask of you.

Mid-Life Chris-is
General | Posted 5 years agoMay will mark the 15th year I entered the realm of DA with my kooky art. What have I accomplished during that time? Well, quite a bit actually, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm 37 and occasionally feeling empty inside.
I've thought about starting over, but I can't, because I'd just revert back to my old ways. I've tried retiring OC's, but they just keep coming back. I've tried blotting out the urge to create more new fresh OC's, but lo and behold that's what I'm doing while I write this Journal.
I'm going through a mid-life crisis (already). I want to upgrade to the newer models, recapture my youth, et cetera.
That, or it's just regular old depression saying these things. I've been told to seek counseling, but it doesn't work on me, okay? So don't even think about suggesting it.
Whatever the case is, I'm not in the best frame of mind right now. If you ask me how I'm doing, that's my answer.
Just thought you should know.

2021 - Look to the Future
General | Posted 5 years agoThe new year's here. Time to look forward with hopeful eyes and pray for the best...or at least better, right?
Any way, my plans for 2021: Focus on my Core 4 (Chris, Kelsey, Daryl, and Neve) or maybe even 7 (add Micky, Reese, and Honey) if feeling adventurous. I'm going to attempt to cut back on the random and one-off OC's. In between all that, keep working on "RAZE" and adding stuff to "WANNA BE...".
As for my real-life life, just take better care of myself. Cut back on the Baconators and Ultimate Cheeseburgers and all that lovely delicious crap. Oh yeah, and finish watching all the anime I amassed last year.
That should be all for now. Hope you'll join me for this new 365-day ride. =)

End of the Year
General | Posted 5 years agoMan, this year was quite a bumpy ride, wasn't it? Not to jinx it, but next year can't possibly be any worse, right? ...RIGHT?!
Any way, do I have plans for the new year when it comes to art? Yes, but I am hesitant to voice them publicly, because when I inevitably get bored and dump the whole thing, I end up looking and feeling like a total dumbass.
Which brings me to my first new year's resolution: don't give up so easily, Chris. "RAZE" is coming along further than any project I've ever started, and I keep reminding myself of that every time I want to start over or go back to the old ways. I do hope that last sentence didn't panic any of you; the point was I'm not giving up on "RAZE".
As for "WANNA BE...", it's there. I was kind of hoping it would take off a lot quicker. Maybe that's another goal for 2021; more wrestling fatty pics.
Other goals include taking better care of myself and being wiser with my spending. But that goes without saying for most of us, doesn't it?
Any way, I think that's all I can say for this year. I will see you again in the new year!

General | Posted 5 years agoOooooh, Journal, Journal, Journal...
Things are okay, as good as can be expected in any case. I have been thinking of new ideas for my OC's. Bad ones. Ideas that make me say in my Dr. Evil voice, "How about NO?!" Don't worry; they're being shot down before they can mature into reality. ><
Ooooh, what else?
"RAZE" is slowly coming along. I'm glad people are enjoying what they're seeing thus far. Hopefully, one day I'll have it scripted and then drawn out. Wouldn't that be nice?
You've been a great audience, hecklers not withstanding. I hope you'll stay with me these last few weeks of the year.
2020.
It's been one hell of a year, hasn't it?
Wishing you the best and happiest of holidays.

Creepy Creeps Give Me the Creeps
General | Posted 5 years agoI can't believe I have to say this, but treat people like people. "This is the Internet" is no excuse. We are all living creatures, not art dispensing machines.
So don't swoop in from out of nowhere claiming to be a "good friend", then immediately ask "Do you take commissions?" without even a "hi", "hello", or "how are you doing?". And when I refuse your commission ideas, don't whine "Why?" to me (like I knew you would). At least others pretended to be interested in getting to know me before showing their true colors, and I like to think I treat other artists with respect too when I'm interested in seeing if there was a possibility to trade.
We may be separated by keyboards, but we are people. Treat others like people, not like vending machines.

Fan-Inserted OC's
General | Posted 5 years agoI have no backbone.
Yes, I am a vertebrate born without a spine.
That's the only explanation I can think of as to why I allow myself to get in these situations.
This won't be easy to discuss, and I will say up front that I will keep the finger-pointing to a minimum.
Any way, a couple of users have been trying to worm their way into my canon(s) via their own OC's. And like a fool, I let them do so. Now I'm left with characters I don't really want and don't really know what to do with. I don't want to draw them, but I can't "kill" them, because that would hurt feelings and lose me friends.
So, let me just put my hands up and say "Enough." I like you, I like your OC's, and I may even enjoy drawing them, but please, stop trying to make them out to be my characters' boyfriend, girlfriend, or worse, main character of my story.
Now, the big purple elephant in the room - Micky. What about Micky, I hear you say? Isn't she a fan-inserted character? Well...yes. But (lame excuse incoming), you have understand, I've known Micky for a long time. We talked a lot, we got to know each other, we became friends. And yes, I started drawing her a lot over the years, but we were friends before this whole "regular guest star" thing happened. And maybe that can happen with YOU; maybe that's what you're wishing would happen to your OC. Not dismissing anything, but if it does happen, it's not going to happen overnight. Micky did not happen overnight. Neither should your OC.
I'm happy with just Chris, Kelsey, Daryl and Neve (and occasionally Micky). "RAZE" is developing okay without extra chefs throwing ingredients into the pot. It's great you want to be part of my worlds, but don't go starting revolutions within them.
I hope I didn't trample on any toes with this little talk, and I hope you will continue to join me in this wild ride called Life.
Excelsior!
-Chris

Excelsior!

Mythodea/Felnova
General | Posted 5 years agoI'm glad people like the Gargantua and Megha pic, but it does get me thinking about how I can keep this ball rolling. I have been thinking pretty much all night/morning/day about this, how I can incorporate the mythos of the planet Mythodea (or Felnova, I haven't decided which name to use yet) into my work so we all may continue to see and enjoy these two titanic kitties.
Here's what I concocted thus far:
1). Chris and Company
Rather than taking place on Earth, Chris T. Snuggleskunk and his friends are all citizens of Mythodea/Felnova, under the benevolent rule of Queen Megha.
2). Raze
While Megha continues to rule Mythodea/Felnova, Gargantua was imprisoned within the sister planet of Hellfire. Raquel becomes unwittingly embroiled in the race to find the shrine where the evil goddess is locked away. Some want to destroy her; others want to release her for their own gains.
3). Stand-alone
Mythodea/Felnova remains a separate entity. It is basically a playground for all manners of Gods and Giants, overlooked by Queen Megha the Pure, the mightiest of the cosmic entities.
That's what's on my mind right now. Any feedback would be appreciated. I am trying to just have some fun with this, but it would be nice if there was some resemblance of a story to set the rules of what can and cannot be done within this universe I'm creating.
Don't think I'm blaming anyone in this Journal, am I? ... No, it all looks good.
Peace out!

Limitations
General | Posted 5 years agoYou are only limited by your imagination. I posit that you are also limited by your subject matter.
I still love fat furs, but...there's only so much you can do with them. As a fatty myself, I can testify that there is very little that is "dynamic" and "interesting" about what my figure is capable of doing, and sumo wrestling pictures can only go so far before you start repeating yourself. I don't know how some artists can do the same thing day in and day out. It must get boring eventually.
So yeah. An occasional bag of Jelly Beans is good. An entire diet of Jelly Beans will only end in tears.
*Proofreads this Journal to make sure I'm not blaming anyone for my troubles. Nope! I'm in the clear!*
