Hope you all have a wonderful winter holiday, however you wish to celebrate it.
We were gonna have a family get together, but everyone in the house has come down with the cold... myself included (Covid test came out negative, for the record, so it ain't that). So unfortunately that will have to wait. I also wanted to do a few more Xmas pics but I'm a lil burnt out from Christmas Eve so that will hopefully come later. In the meantime, I'll probably be taking it easy on the 25th.

I can't believe it, but the day has finally come!
Tomorrow morning I'll be flying off to Rosemont, IL (nearby Chicago) to attend Midwest Fur Fest.
I'm super excited and anxious at the same time, especially since this is my FIRST TIME traveling solo and handling everything like an adult, and also my first fur-con. I don't know what to expect when I'm down there but I hope to have a wonderful time and meet some marvelous peeps like
MixiDeer and 
Buxbi! :D
I'll also try to stop by downtown Chicago at least once and try some of the local fare (i.e. Chicago style Hot Dogs and Deep Dish Pizza :9 ) Also planning on checking out Galloping Ghost Arcade (largest arcade in the US with 740+ arcade games!)
I also hope I'll survive the cold weather. Trying to bring as much warm clothing with me as my carry-on will allow!
Wish me luck, and I'll be sure to check in every now and then and also report back when I return! :D

Hey all!
One project that has been taking up a huge chunk of my time for the last 9 months is a scene for a ReAnimated collab for the Freaky Fred episode of Courage the Cowardly dog. For those of you not in the know, a "ReAnimated Collab" is where a bunch of animators take a specific episode of a show and each animator has to reanimate a single scene/shot in their style! It has become a really popular thing in the online animation community

That's not the only big thing happening this week. This Friday I'm getting all of my wisdom teeth yanked out. So I'm a little anxious about that (otherwise I wouldn't have been putting it off for so long, lol) Dunno what to expect other than the anesthesia probably making me all loopy, my face looking like a baked potato, and a mostly liquid diet for a week. XD
So just a heads up that I'll be MIA for most of Friday XD
In the meantime, I'll keep you guys posted with more updates!

The $3 Tier which gets you the goods of the $1 Tier plus High-resolution versions of pics including alts (because Twitter and FA don't like big image sizes,... boo) and Process VIDEOS!
Other than that, it's basically just a lil tip jar I came up with. Nothing exclusive to it at the moment aside from maybe a few WIP sketches. Everything else will be uploaded on all sites at the same time, albeit with differing image res sizes!

Winter Trip - Gone till the 30th!
General | Posted 7 years agoJust so you guys know I'm gonna be away on a xmas trip from Dec 24-30, visiting my dad and his family in West Virginia. The Wi-Fi at their house isn't all that great but I'll try to check in every now and then on my phone!
When I get back I'll resume my "Sweater pup weather" series as well as pics I have in my backlog like gifts, holiday pics, and trades!
Shucks, times like this makes me wish I had something like an iPad to work on stuff on the go... lord knows I want to lug my heavy ass laptop and new tablet around when I wanna do digital stuff abroad XD
Other than that, wish you all a happy holidays!

Intuos broke down... getting a Cintiq

So a bit of unfortunate news... my trusty Intuos 4 tablet that has served me well since 2011 and was gifted to me by my good friend
Wolfshy is now out of commission.
The USB ports on it have somehow come loose. I don't know what weak glue or soldering tools they used to fasten these ports to the board inside the tablet, but apparently it's a common problem that they just pop off and result in people having to take their tablets apart and solder them back in place. Unfortunately, I don't have the proper soldering tools in my household to do the task. Even if I did, I fear I might only end up making the situation even worse, and I certainly don't know of any repair services nearby.
That being said, I decided I was overdue for an upgrade.
Therefore I ordered a Cintiq 13 Pro as a replacement. It wasn't cheap, yes... but I did have enough money in my bank account saved up so it wasn't too big of a hit. I'll let you guys know how it goes, and hell, I might open up commissions later on in the winter months to earn some money back for what I spent on the new tablet.

Hey guys, I just found out about this pretty cool program called Paintstorm Studio, which has a bunch of neat hacks for stuff like brush stroke masking, perspective, closing gaps, stabilization, and more-

The only downside I heard about is that it apparently doesn't have a typing tool . _ .

Hey, all! I just wanted you guys to know that I'm planning to open commissions again soon! I know it's been a while, new job has been keeping me really busy and whatnot, causing me to be very worn out when I get home from work every day. XD But at the same time, I've decided to make some extra dough on the side to make up for the amount I had to spend on things like parking for my job, gas, replacing computer parts, cons, and commissioning/supporting other artists.
However, I have slightly updated my prices a smidge more. This is all relative to the amount of time and effort I've spent on these pics in the past... because hey, art takes time and these pics aren't exactly easy. XD
I've added new sections such as allowing sketch/ink commissions, and also removed the extra charge for nudity + sexual content that I had in the past.

Do my character designs suck?

So as you all might have seen, I've been trying to redesign my main sona, Chrome. But after studying a lot of popular characters in the artist community, I only JUST NOW I've come to a revelation that the reason why my design may not have stuck in the first place, and that may be because I have broken an unspoken rule of how OCs are created-
Too many colors present on the character's body.
I noticed almost every character I've come across has a MAXIMUM of 3 different fur colors, including stripes and other stuff (maybe up to 4 if there are small markings present on the body as well).
I mean, just for comparison's sake, here's the current design for Chrome - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10449277/

You can see the contrast, right? Not only does he have 4 different colors for his fur and the scales on his limbs, but also two different stripe colors and a separate color for paw pads.
I didn't intend to create a needlessly complicated character, though. I got the idea around 2013 to make him a furry-scalie hybrid to make him stand out and not be "just another fox". (If you're wondering, I came up with fox-gecko because since I practically live in a desert state I thought it would be cool to combine my original sona with something that dwells in the desert or other dry climates)
Granted, this was way before I entered art college and got PROPERLY introduced to character design, but I'm still flabbergasted that it took me THIS LONG to realize where I might have went wrong by going over the aforementioned "max fur color limit"... and that I completely neglected the fact that SIMPLICITY is always better!
I dunno, what do you guys think? Are there exceptions to the rule? Am I overthinking it?
Because in the meantime, I'm still thinking of a way to revamp Chrome's design so it's not as all over the place as it currently is.

Uploading Pics I've commissioned
General | Posted 7 years agoSo as made apparent by the last 4 submissions, I will be uploading more pics I commissioned from other artists but never got around to putting up in the past. X3 So expect more clusters of em to come in the next few days!
I decided to keep them in my main gallery under the "Stuff by other artists" folder since I feel weird putting it in scraps, and making a separate account to manage just seems like a chore to me. ;^
I dunno.. how do other artists go about this? The same way? XD
Aside from that, I've been doing fine. Still preoccupied with my new job, especially since I finally got the whole WAIFU-ARY thing out of the way. XD
I'm also slowly getting addicted to Far Cry 5 like I did with 3 and 4... > 3 > Hopefully I can break free of that and whip out some of my own art in the next few weeks for my gallery!
