The good news first: I'm home and able to care for myself for the most part! Looking to get back into what I owe from before the surgery. I'm very happy to be home, of course.

The bad news is that not only do I need to get back to the hospital for a post-operative checkup, but also need to buy some medical supplies until my GP decides to do their job and write me a prescription for the actual things I need. (Yes I am annoyed, why do you ask?) I'm thinking about either offering adopts or a YCH to cover a cab/uber and the supplies, is there something you'd prefer? Adopts would be easier and done quicker.

Overall though, I'm happy - but of course life finds a way to be annoying still :P

Got operated on, and am actually feeling a lot more like a human being right now. I even got to put on my own clothes again!

Everything is looking good despite some bleeding, but pain-wise I'm absolutely fine as is. Really, I've been worse when not freshly operated on, I'd say.

Still dozing lots, on and off. They said I'd be home Monday, maybe Tuesday. Hoping for Monday of course.




Just so anyone who comes here sees this - in less than 12 hours I'll be at the hospital and, hopefully, getting operated on as quickly as possible. I'll make sure to post here as soon as I can tell up from down and write coherent sentences again.

Starting next Wednesday, the 26th of March, I'll be staying in hospital for about a week. I'll be having a surgery on my chest, so I am unsure on how much I'll be able to work immediately post getting home. Work will resume as soon as I feel like I can do my best work again, but I might be drawing on and off in between.

Anyone who is currently waiting on commissions for me and actively in contact with me will likely get their pieces done by next week. Anything I have not started until now will not be started until I return home. I will be taking commission for post-surgery as well, with the caveat that I may not be able to start work until mid- to late April. In the meantime, I may be posting adopt designs for sale to help with costs (getting groceries delivered, cab rides etc).

I'll let you know as soon as possible how long I'll be staying and when I'll be able to go home. Thanks for sticking with me and my art! I appreciate every comment and favourite I get.

Well, I've had a stomach bug for last ... couple days. Hoping it'll sort itself out by Monday.
Wanted to update everyone on where I am. Work will resume when my body resumes working.

Just letting everyone know that there will be a brief break in work this week. I have to help a friend sort out stuff with some animals that need taken care of and it's stressing me out a lil bit. Once I figure stuff out, I'll get right back to it!

Just wanted to let ya know that I am fine, if a little slower drawing than I would usually be! My arm needs rest a lot more than I would like, but what can ya do.

If you are one of the people I owe things to, check the queue! If it is not on there (some of the things are not, there is a slide on the queue that explains things), make sure to check your email (and spam) and maybe resend something. I know I still need to wrap up some adopts as well, I'll look at trying to get them done this weekend!

Other than that, I'm slowly chugging through work and hoping to post more stuff. Some more WG stuff as well, since I DO like it and don't post it enough.

So I have a pinched nerve in my neck (probably. all signs are pointing to it). My left thumb and part of my pointer finger are numb, which is not very good.
Hoping it passes - my doctor said there isn't much to do but take pain killers and apply heat, which is also cool. Hoping also to get this under control sooner rather than later, of course, but as it is I need to lay down occasionally so I can rest my arm.
(If anyone has experience with pinched nerves at all please PM me, I'm currently at my wits end lol.)

I'm right-handed, of course, but this has slowed me down some regardless. Apologies for being slow, but I guess unless it is a cold I am definitely not catching it (much less a break).

EDIT: Still sick and have been for a while now. I think I am finally getting better, slowly but surely, despite the fact now that I AM the weather is slow cooking me in my own juices :P Hoping to be fully back in the swing of things by Monday now that I am able to sit back up at my desk. Wednesday was pretty shit, I stayed in bed all day. Of course I'd get a cold in the middle of freaking summer. Sheesh.

Not a hospital situation this time - but I did go deaf briefly on Thursday, and now I have a cold (or what feels like it) so I am probably not getting much of anything done for a hot minute. I wanted to let everyone know and of course I'll get back to work as soon as possible!

Soo I just went AFK from my computer for about half an hour and ended up having weird... image retention bars on it for about an hour after that. No idea how or why this is, and it is slowly fading, but it shouldn't be happening with a brand new month old monitor. Luckily, it has faded now, but I am worried so... I'm definitely extending the current drive to cover the cost of a new monitor just in case the store decides to argue with me for some reason.

(I did look it up - only one post with my exact issue, and I did try a different cable and restarting/unplugging. There WAS a graphics driver update scheduled as I came back, and I have had weird stuff happening when Geforce wanted to update, so who knows? I sure do not.)

I'm writing this first and foremost to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, or whatever you do or do not celebrate! I hope you have the chance to spend time with loved ones, eat good food, or just take a break for a moment.

I myself will be taking off for the rest of the word and, in fact, including January 1rst, going back to work on things starting Tuesday the 2nd of January! If I have already started your piece by now, I will be trying to finish things when possible, but I will not be starting new work until the new year has passed.

We are up to Conjuctivitis TWO so I'll be taking it easy for a couple days. Doctor said little screen time until it's better, but it's luckily only the one eye. Wanted to let people know so you don't think I stiffed anyone on owed art.

A friend of mine from France is currently in the UK and because they got scammed they are out of actual warm clothes. I (half jokingly) asked if they needed help - now the point of my request is whether anyone from the UK would be able to send them clothes. Of course paid by me! I'd send them some myself but shipping out of the EU is expensive lol.

Some of you guys might remember the Rodent Revenge comic series I posted over at Eka's. I have been sitting on a remake (featuring extra scenes, and several full re-done pages) for a while now. It only goes up to the original ending of the comic so far, but I'd happily extend the saga to feature additonal prey (such as Quigley - I never posted the second half of the comic anywhere so far).

I was wondering if trying to crowdfund the whole thing might be a good idea. It is 12 pages so far, most of them fully sketched out, which is a lot of work since I really do want to polish the pages up a bit for this re-release.

Sorry for the silence on my end - I got through the operation pretty well outside of the part where it hurts :p Not unexpected, but as long as I stay put and relaxed my knee is fine.


Going to be looking at work asap when I am home. I may not be able to sit up properly in front of the PC right away since 'lifting up my leg' is not happening currently, but I'll try and get sketches out to y'all via iPad if nothing else!

Thanks for being patient with me and my terrible leg for this past month and the next (few) week(s)! So I'm getting operated on next Friday, the day after my birthday. Absolutely thrilling. I'm putting work on hold for the time being until I'm out of hospital (the Monday after my birthday).

I'll keep you in the loop with things but I'm fuckin pissed at these doctors for making me wait three weeks and then going, whoops, oops, now it's a hospital case! Who could have anticipated this in any way, shape, or form? Not us!
